The Manson song was my least favorite on that album. It starts off so well with Filter/Crystal Method, and then the pace just DIES. I maintain it's the worst song on that album, Manson's "Portrait of an American Family" was his only good album IMO, and even that was heavily flawed.

Im sure that he was around as a producer, maybe even a recording artist before his album no way out, but when I first heard heard him, he was doing songs like the kashmir rip, the every breart you take rip. And he even recorded a verson of "its all about the benjamins" that he not only had Rob Zombie playing on, but Dave Grohl too. So his first impression was a hip hop star that wanted to furrher break down the cultural divides of music. He wanted cred in the rock world, and as 90s kids, some of us bought it. I remember they played the benjamins remix on my rock radio a lot, and I actually liked it and thought it was pretty cool of him. We always saw rockers reaching out to the world of hip hop, but never a producer or artist from that genre trying to come over and play in our world. The last to try it before him was probably Ice T and body count. Which still holds up. Maybe that will add some perspective about the guy for those who came around after the 90s. Puff wasnt half bad when he first stepped out.
Nothing will ever, EVER, beat the album for 'A Night at the Roxbury" lol. Scarface has a good track, but it'll never be better than the soundtrack for that stupid SNL movie lol

My buddies and I were wanting to see if there were some post credit scenes. And I remember a lot of people just grooving to the track in their own ways. But I certainly felt wrong about it. I was quick to catch on that the song was pretty much "Kashmir" with P. Diddy just doing his thing over the top of it. And I was sorely disappointed, thinking that he had just gone and ripped of Led Zeppelin until I learned that Jimmy Page was right beside P. Diddy, and a part of it. I just threw hands in the air in surrender and moved on. When I went to Wal-Mart and bought the album on cassette, I swiftly came to a conclusion that the album was P. As time went on, I re-visited the movie and the soundtrack. Listening to "Come with Me" just sent Me into a whirlwind of cringe to the point where I wanted to somehow escape MY OWN SKIN. Imo it’s a bit of a stretch to say the *WHOLE* album has aged horribly, it’s really only just the Puff Daddy track, which is only 6 minutes out of a 51-minute long album - at least going off of the Godzilla album playlist on RUclips. “Deeper Underground” *absolutely rules* , “A320” was amazing, “No Shelter” - ehhh, it’s a bit unintentionally goofy at points but it is quite funny to have a song straight up dissing the movie it’s promoting.
Next time the Godzilla franchise wants to reference a soundtrack from the 1998 movie, they're probably better off using the original sample versions and not the ones used in the 1998 movie. Otherwise, I think I'll go with the soundtracks for the 1993 Super Mario Bros movie or Joel Schumacher's Batman duology.

Next time the Godzilla franchise wants to reference a soundtrack from the 1998 movie, they're probably better off using the original sample versions and not the ones used in the 1998 movie. Otherwise, I think I'll go with the soundtracks for the 1993 Super Mario Bros movie or Joel Schumacher's Batman duology.

The song, 'Come With Me' was always a guilty pleasure, despite Godzilla 98 being a massive disappointment.
