Another relaxing and great video to watch on a Saturday. I am a private investor, though in retirement, and in addition to watching the markets in daytime in this part of the world, I also trade NASDAQ stocks night time in New York, of course all online. People are dressed rather thick, as the weather might be cool on higher grounds, very much like Laos which is a country sits on a plateau.Noon would be hot with the sun overhanging over the heads, but evening and night times could be quite cold. When I was growing up as a boy in Laos, I could not possibly differentiate Miao, Yao, Yi, Huang, I have no problem with Dai minority, as I could even isole the Laotian from the Thai, they all come from Dai, as I spoke Thai and Lao in my childhood. I love their cultures and food, though I am a Han, and I see them as part of the greater Chinese ethnicity. I blacked my face, spashed iced cold water, and danced to the rhyme of Dai music, could not tell it might well be from another minority, in the festival of splashing water, their lunar new year, and I also lighted the rocket, made from bamboo shoot filled with self cooked or made gun powder, which shoot into the sky. BTW, a lot of misunderstanding to clarify. The Plain of Jars in fact is a burial place for the indigenoous people of Laos, who dominated Laos a few thousands years before the birth of Jesus Christ. They are not Dai, both Lao and Thai included, but no idea who they were actually. And the group of militia who fought for the CIA during the Vietnamese War were not Miao, the common belief. They were in fact Huang which is a branch of Miao who are more Chinese, as they write and speak Chinese, perhaps much more fluent than this young boy of me, from the top Chinese school called Lao Dou Public School in Vientiane, Laos. Our Chinese teachers were from Taiwan (RoC), and they taught us a very different ideology than what I believe nowadays. We sang their national anthem, and pledged their allegiance, not relevant to me anymore. People smoked water pipe, and in fact Laos produced a lot of tobacco. And the tobacco to pack the Brand 555 which is a franchise of BAT are grown in Laos, and the leaves are fermented in Laos, and packed in Laos, but a great portion of them exported and sold in South East Asia, and even as far as to Hong Kong. The owner of this franchise of distribution in this part of the world, or perhaps just Laos was a Chinese called Cheng. At one time, he could not take delivery of some foreign brands of tobacco imported from overseas, so the whole market did not have foreign cigarettes, and the prices shoot through the roof. My daddy took advantage of it, as the import bank was owned by our extended family, and made his first bucket of gold. The barzaars at my times in Laos could possibly split between covered ones in the urban, and open air ones in the country side. In all, they were relatively smaller than the ones seen here in the video, but in no way less vibrant I must say. I am glad to see that the people in the street markets in the video are dressed nicely and perhaps feed to full stomach, and they are all happy, and must be living a much better life, here they come a long way indeed. I am sure there might be many people from Laos, who now live in US watching your video, to get a fond memory of their days in Laos, very much like me, though I am now in Singapore. I am bringing my family to Laos this December, and quite a number of them first time to this far away country, though in fact, it is just within a 4 hours flight by air. Thumbs up indeed. I really enjoy watching the video.
What a wonderful street reporting, a scene we can never seen in other parts of the world.. This brings us back to the early days of the society we encountered before the modernisation of society in China. This is definitely an exciting tour of the market experiencing of the culture and lives of the villagers'. Good efforts and very meaningful ideo indeed. Appreciate that Yan.....!
Advance congratulations for your silver play button Yan. Yunnan is unique with their culture, borders and landscape etc. But I saw the Xinjiang and Qinghai region grasslands which are stunning.
Amazing & lively video. What makes it so special is seeing smiling, happy children. When we see children who are loved and nourished, we see not only their smiles but also the future. China has such amazing diversity among its people that learning about them in a video simply enchants us. Personally love history, especially of China and its archeological discoveries that push back the age of its culture. Seeing diverse people, customs and markets in China actually links us to that past.😊

Thanks Yan. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. It is so nice to see ethinic minorities have preserved their traditions customs and languages. Place looks so peaceful and Prosperous.
The song sung at the begining of the video (2:13) was amazing. The intonations remind me of Native American folk music. If you played that at the annual Gathering of Nations, everyone would be asking, "What tribe is that?"❤

Tamarind is unusual with its very high sugar and tartaric acid content. Interesting to learn of its use as a snack.I have always enjoyed them that way. Beautiful small orchid like flowers.
It's the sweetest AND the sourest fruit! They grow in South Florida, and were very popular with children as I recall. People cook with them, and make a drink like muddy lemonade, available in many Mexican places.

Congratulations Yan... almost 100k subscribers 🎉 keep it up! Greetings from Malaysia 🇲🇾
I live in London and it's so refreshing to see your fascinating videos of China, areas where I'm unable to visit.
Hi Yan ! Hope You Are OK and Happy! Beautiful Yunnan ! Many Thanks for Your Time on Making This Amazing Videos for All of Us. God Bless You ! Fernando

Congratulations For Your 100K Subscribers🤗! You Deserve It!
Thanks, so nice of you :)
Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers, thanks for bringing us around china and showing us!
The clothes are so beautiful! It's nice to see these traditions so alive. Thank you for the awesome video.
Congratulations on your fine work in showing parts of the real China. I really appreciate it!
Very good travel series. The story telling, scenary, folk music background, food, local interaction, etc. Simply awesome! Your channel will thrive at no time. Keep up the good work 👏👏👍👍
Interesting and beatiful presentation, love it
I adore street markets! Thank you for taking us to this especially exotic one!
Amazing to see and experience, as a Chinese myself, I've never experienced all these
I haven't commented in a while... but I have been watching everytime you put one out. Thank You again for being our guide to the little-seen parts of China. Cheers and adventure on!
Watching LCE's video while drinking coffee feels like you are there, thank you LCE for the video, always healthy greetings👍🫡🫡🤝☕️☕️
All the best LCE 🫡🫡👍🙏🤝
I love it when you meet people in the market and call them "brother" and "sister." :)
I am happy that you have reached your first 100k subscribers. Thank you for taking us along your journey to less traveled parts of China. Your videos are always great to watch.
A kamera technikád is fantasztikus. 😊❤❤❤❤❤
🎤 Everyone can sing very good 🎶 🎵Also the altitude environment & the traditional dress with women wearing hats puts me in the mind of Peru 🇵🇪
Thanks for the beautiful scenery you are showing and really enjoy it. You are very courageous travelling alone and explore so many places and culture of the people that I have never seen before. It is very educating that China has so many natural beauty ans landscape mountains that beyond imagination. Very good video.
Fantastic video, I feel like I've been to that place with you. Thanks for making these as I probably will not get the chance to travel in China. I like the kind of travel that avoid the tourist hot spots
Marvellous market highlights❤❤
Thanks Yan. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. It is so nice to see ethinic minorities have preserved their traditions customs and languages. Place looks so peaceful and Prosperous.
The song sung at the begining of the video (2:13) was amazing. The intonations remind me of Native American folk music. If you played that at the annual Gathering of Nations, everyone would be asking, "What tribe is that?"❤
I love your videos, I have been to China many times and wish I was there with you to share the experience. I hope to go back this year so looking forward to it I miss it greatly
for some reason iam addicted to your narration! ❤
I just found you, absolutely wonderful, travelled around India, Hong Kong; long before Return and SE Asia but never got around to China, now at 70+ and having just bought a derelict property to renovate, I probably never will, so to travel with you vicariously is a great pleasure...thank you!
Your videos makes us feel we are travelling with you...❤❤
I live in Indonesia, we are multi etnics country with different languages too, sometimes we don't understand each other, but no matter where it is, our respon to be polite to people who speaks language we don't understand is same, like "uh uh, yaa, emmhh, oooh.." even we don't understand at all 😂
My experience of the everyday chinese people was their curiosity and warmth🙏
I started watching when you were still in Europe. This is now my very favorite Chinese vlog.
These are just amazing. A street market is great all over the world! So interesting to see so many new things. You are bringing us all a wonderful view of your country. I love the singing! You said you were grateful for Englush tips? Sew is pronounced so. Don't ask me why. So (also) is sow- when we sow seeds. But not sow, a lady pig! She rhymes with cow.
Love your videos. They are amazing and informative, so natural, so colourful. I feel as if I am visiting this market. I so appreciate the effort you put into showing us around the market.
Very interesting to see the old and different cultures of China.
Even a bit emotional for some of us with ancestral ties.
Jiayou always little china everywhere ❤❤❤❤❤
Very colorful traditional clothings… love it!!!
Thank you for this beautiful and relaxing video. I enjoy learning about different ethnic minorities in China, and seeing the food and beautiful places there in your videos online. Take care. ❤
Every one of your videos is fascinating. I thought I wasn’t that interested in traveling to China but now I am! Thank you for making these videos. And let me at that you’re such a lovely person.
*CONGRATULATIONS FOR WHEN YOU HIT 100K SUBS TODAY...!!!*
Amazing videos - you so deserve it.
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😮😮😮great content. More like documentary than RUclips vloger. Awsome
The juxtaposition of WeChat payment systems, based on advanced technologies/physics/chemistry, and a 'rustic' market scene is mind-blowing.
Love these outdoor food stalls, although it tends to make the place dirty but the atmosphere is so much better than any in house stores they've made the vendors move into in some cities/towns.
Cashless in such rural areas! Amazing!
i Love your videos. The people, food, the scenery and your commentary through out the video i really appreciate and the Drone shots are just beautiful. Thank you for uploading great content. Yunnan is a beautiful place i would love to visit one day.
Yan, thanks for another lovely video. Really enjoy watching the vibrant scenes of the morning market. I love going to morning markets too.❤❤
Very interesting. With yummy looking food.
Thank you ❤
I am one of your fan and I have shared your videos with my friends. We hope one day we would visit Yuanyang. The best part of any new places is the wet market. You immerse yourselves in local delicacies & culture. Thank You for this awesome video.
Great video! It gives a deep insight on the traditional colourful attires of the local native ppl.Well done.加油
