I am a Chinese American who has lived in the States since 1994. I came across one of your RUclips videos two days ago. I became immediately addicted. No Chinese vloggers have done a better job showing China to the world! The way you speak, your English, the video editing quality, and your engagement with the local people are all things that make your channel unique. Your grandparents should be proud of what you've done!

Sister, your English is perfect. I used to be a backpacker myself on and off until, I had a serious health problem and now I've been mostly bed ridden for the past 5 years. I'm a 56 year old Italian woman. I've travelled mainly all over Asia, especially South East Asia, Nepal, India and Africa. When I started backpaking in 1992, I didn't know English so I had bought a little book titled Teach Yourself English but when you have to learn a language to survive, you learn it very quickly unlike school. My first trip lasted about 9 months and when I returned to Italy, I just worked a lot to save money and go travelling again so in 1994, I left again by myself this time, the first trip was with a friend, a boy my age. I had a great time travelling and I also fell in love with someone like me who was living alone in a jungle in Thailand.
We went to Africa together and when our money was almost finished, we decided to go to Japan to get a job. My partner, from New Zealand, had already been there and she could get a job easily as an English teacher. In my case, I found a job at the Italian Cultural Centre in Kyoto and Osaka, in addition, some English native speakers I knew asked me if I could take over some English classes at a Centre for Homemakers and The Elderly and though I was really afraid they wouldn't want me because I wasn't a native English speaker, they simply adored me, took great care of me and taught me many things about Japanese culture and customs. I was also attending a Japanese Academy full time studying Japanese as I was in Japan with a Cultural/Student visa before getting my working visa. I'm telling you all these details because I want you to know that all dreams come true so just follow your heart fearlessly. My family also never understood why I had to go but I had to go. I found a book in Japan written by an American woman titled "Do what You Love And The Money Will Follow". Do not listen to anyone else but yourself, whatever you want to do in this life, you can do it. Your videos are great and I'm a backpacker too. I almost died and realised that I have no regrets! Enjoy your life, you are inspiring so many people all over the world. May you be forever blessed and showered with abundance.

I’m an Aussie married to a Chinese woman living in a rural village. The first time we went there, my wife’s grandma (80+) offered to make me some bread, I thought that would be nice and didn’t think much more about it until I saw her walking back an hour later with a great barrow full of dried wheat, still on the stalks. She then threshed the wheat, then put it into a huge old pestle and mortar and ground the flour before she made my bread. It was amazing but I still feel guilty 15 years later when I think about it. She sadly died of a massive coronary event a couple of years later but single handed raised a family of 5 and smoked two packets of smokes every day of her life.

Last Month 6th to 26th i was in China visiting for Business purpose. Visited Guangzhou, Yiwu, Hangzhou, Ningbo & Changzhou. Its hardly a fraction of China but since in line of my business the type of industries i wanted were concentrated in the areas i visited, but still not enough probably after 6 months again we will be exploring other parts as well.
I liked China very much and especially the big development of big cities and to say even small towns i should say also similar to cities, the cleanliness, traffic and pedestrian rules all well observed. Had not imagined China like what i seen far ahead atleast for others to catch up will require 30+ years, but China would be unreachable further progressing.
One sore thing is the Toilets which has no water except flushing. People use toilet papers mostly. But then the toilets are left so dirty and cannot be used by people next in turn. Therefore the water taps for washing purpose must be kept - rest all is fine

When I was a young girl in the 1990’s I remember seeing news reports from Beijing and there would be hundreds and hundreds of people riding bicycles and just a few pushing through on motorcycles. Now everyone has their own cars and everything is so modern.
And then I think about this happening hundreds and hundreds of times in all the small towns becoming big cities in China in such a small amount of time. It must make the old people’s heads spin!
    By the way, when

I have seen many of your videos: your tools are minimal, an action cam and a drone; your framing is simple (i.e. with the drone most of the shots are just simple "dolly"); your editing is also quite simple... Almost the opposite of what we see in the videos of many travelers youtubers. And still... your videos are captivating, when i start to watch i cannot stop. What is the secret ingredient? You: your passion in what you do, your humility in approaching people, your "almost being shy" when narrating, and your smile. It so refreshing to watch such a simple but quiet effective style. China is a very beautiful Country and some of your footage, reminded me of the Lake District here in the UK. Your work is very important as it shows that China is not different than any Nation, take away Governments and Politics, also religion and it proves we are all just people going about our daily lives,
Sharing and learning about one another's Cultures is a beautiful thing, That we all in many ways have so much in common if only we take the time to stop and look.

Thank you, sister. When I was young I used to enjoy cities but after I discovered the hills, mountains and countryside I fell in love with Nature. Your drone shots are so beautiful, rivers and forests are my favourite. I noticed that the forest you showed where people take photos when they get married, looks very organised, all trees are about the same age and they look as if someone planted the trees. Normally, in natural forests you have different species growing together, stones with moss, mushrooms, climbing plants, etc. Why does that forest look human made?
Please show us natural beautiful places as well, for example waterfalls, plum and cherry blossom trees (seasonal flowers), mushrooms (edible or used in Chinese traditional medicine), legendary places like the tower where White Snake was locked in. Also, many of us are interested in the language so if you have any information about the origin of the language or certain words, that would be great. Last but not least 😉, every region has its own dialect and cuisine 😁 so please show us some traditions. For example the man drying the vegetables, it would be nice to watch the entire process. In dramas, some mountains in China are famous for Taoism training and martial arts, for example Emei Shan, please show us whatever you can. Many Western people go to China to study Tai Chi.
Thank you. You could be my daughter but in 仙侠 dramas they often use younger or older sister for a friend. I am definitely your very old sister or do you say aunt in this case? What should I call you?
Thank you for the great video!
