In my opinion, you do better travel videos than 99% of travel youtubers. There is an omnipresence of sincerity, humility, respect and genuine curiosity throughout all your videos.
I am a 70 yo grandmother. Widow. IFit & healthy. I’ve enjoyed very much your experience via your videos. And importantly I’ve been so inspired and motivated to go travel world by myself. Is it possible for me to be friends with you & hopefully learn from you? I’m thinking what if I can inspire people in my age group to get out of their comfort zone and venture out on their own? Omg how do I start, just stumbled upon your RUclips video about the communal houses in China and I was amazed! I decided to watch another one which is this one, I am very impressed and watched every second of this 1 hour and 24 minutes video, it is so inspirational. I really love these because you are not showing the hype and popular places of most countries, but I saw a lot of sincerity during your travel and meeting up with the local people. I was a traveller myself, and stop few years back because of adulthood problem, liabilities etc.... and I miss those travelling times. In German there is a word for the opposite of homesick, ie Fernweh (fern = afar, weh = ache). It is the longing for experiencing foreign lands and people. I had the same feeling, every emotional with a reason I couldn't tell or simply expressed, I felt like travelling to Iran one day too,, to comfort the people there, especially when these days Oct/Nov 2024 that Iran got hit by so much of missiles bombing from her neighbours. I couldn't watch those tv news as I still have all the kind faces and smiles of the men and women, boys and girls of Iran from Yan's video still embedded in my heart and mind, my heart is heavy.

In German there is a word for the opposite of homesick, ie Fernweh (fern = afar, weh = ache). It is the longing for experiencing foreign lands and people. I used to teach English in Guangde. Organized a group of foreign volunteers from Zheda and we taught at the local middle school in a rural town. Surprised to hear that you're from there. Kudos on your successful return home!
