Yan, thanks for sharing the festivities of a traditional Tajik lively crowded wedding during three days, everyone is welcome to part in the wedding and get accommodation. They sing the national anthem and happy birthday for a villager. The groom knocked the door for the bride, and after the ceremony the couple danced together with the crowd. I'm from Hunza Valley of Pakistan and half of our family lives in Dafdar and Taxkurgan. It's always been peaceful wherever our people live, whether it be in Pakistan, Badakshan Tajikistan or Xinjiang China. We are proud to be a part of a peaceful religion (Ismaili Muslims) and an ancient culture.
I hope it stays that way after what happened with the Pakistani Taliban in the early 2000s.
Ya Ali Madad. Wasn't expecting to see another Ismaili here, 😅 I have some friends from Hunza and I hope to visit Hunza, Gilgit areas some day.
Listen dude all Tajiks are not Ismaili, 99.99 % Tajiks are Muslims, some wakhi and Tajiks from Northern Pakistan and Afghanistan accepted ismailism in the 19th and 20th century for money Only, you should ask your parents and grandparents.
Salute you all for your sense of social harmony.
Ismaili is Qurani, right?
Wow, those Tajiks are some good looking people, blimey.

You are doing a good job as the ambassador of peaceful coexistence! Thanks!
Thank you 🥰
Thank you Yan for taking us along to this wedding (and all the other places you go that westerners like me would be unable to experience). It is so inspiring to see people everywhere living peacefully and with openness and friendliness. You yourself are an example of how to be open, curious and non judgmental. You work hard but the resulting videos are top quality. Thank you 🙏🏼☺️
谁说西方人无法体验了啊,我去新疆玩的时候有很多外国人啊,中国只有军事保密地区不允许西方人进入吧,其他地方随便你们玩,随便你们拍照
What a beautiful culture and people. I felt like I was watching National Geographic documentary, good job. You deserve millions of subscribers
Valeu!
Thank you 🥰
Yan, thanks for sharing the festivities of a traditional Tajik lively crowded wedding during three days, everyone is welcome to part in the wedding and get accommodation. They sing the national anthem and happy birthday for a villager. The groom knocked the door for the bride, and after the ceremony the couple danced together with the crowd. After dinner the bride and groom left their parental home. Goat pulling was cancelled because a relative passed away in nearby village. Fans enjoy this special event in China's border city. God bless your hard work with good health and happiness.😊
Another great post! Never thought this also is China. If only all over the world could be as peaceful and happy as here. Thank you for sharing.

Yan, these human interactions are so precious and I’m again in awe of the diversity in that part of the world. Still hard to believe this is our China.
I have never seen a group of people made of so many races and to top it all they live in China. Thanks Yan looks like you had fun at the wedding

So beautiful! Everything was amazing. Thanks for expanding my understanding of the world.
I just saw his video of this same wedding, in the middle of the video all the children lined up singing national anthem. Deeply touched.

Maybe your grandparents were also Chinese, but they yearned for life in the Soviet Union and left China for the Soviet Union. This is recorded in historical materials (I found this by accident when watching the History Channel). But if we count from the Qing Dynasty, you were also Chinese.

They really don't look like people from the Caucasus. They look Afghan if anything with some small East Asian admixture in some.
It's very ininteresting seeing these very diverse people all being able to speak mandarin, while also maintaining their own language and traditions. Nice to see.
Greeting to all Pamiri-Xik(Wakhi) and Pamiri-Sarikoli brothers and sisters of China. Fascinating to see how diverse China is.
Thanks for amazing coverage.

Hello Yan! Thank you for your vlogs, i very like society in China, going by his way, naturally, people are friedly to each other. But i am very afraid, that it will be damaged by western influence, consumentarism - it does not bring anything better for people, only superficial impression of "better life", but also simultaneously envy, distrust... I can see the same in my country. Thank you again!
Welcome to China. Visa free now
Thank you 🥰
Most of the Chinese have become wary of the influence of the West. I believe that under the guidance of CPC, China will adhere to the beautiful parts of its own tradition and will never be excessively influenced by some Western ideologies.
No worries, we will not be influenced by anyone; our culture has been surviving for 5000 years , it’s in the blood
Excellent video, as usual. I don't know what is better in Yan's channel...the Drone footage, the authentic, interesting content, or the genuine interest Yan has in different people and cultures. Keep up the great work, Yan!

It is good that China has common mandarin language to unite all different ethnic groups. A very good video
Nailed it.
Since over 2,000 years ago, Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China's first feudal empire, initiated the policy of script unification, as well as standardizing measurements and weights. In doing so, we have the tradition to maintain an excellent balance between cultural diversity and unity. This is why I have always believed that China's governance is one of the best in the world, especially given the wide array of different cultures. There is no concept of racial discrimination-everyone respects and appreciates each other.
for everyone to speak english would be much better

There is a minority ethnic group in China called the Ewenki. They used to live in the forest and made a living by hunting and raising reindeer. They are the only ethnic group in China that raises reindeer. Now they have a population of more than 30,000. They live in the border area between Northeast China and Russia and believe in shamanism. Their appearance and clothing are similar to those of the Sami people in Finland.

Beautiful video! Thank you! It's the first time I hear a Chinese person calling peoples of other races and mixed races, and cultures as Chinese. That is, Chinese as a nation and not as a race. I'd say welcome to the reality of the rest of the world: we are who we are (mixed), where we are and we don't identify ourselves as a race! Thank you again!
About one hundred years ago in Republic China era, there was a slogan: China is Five Races Under One Union, meaning 5 major ethnics ppl harmoniously existed under one nation. Since PRC (1949), there is new slogan: Fifty-six Races, Fifty-six flowers.
definitely Chinese is not an ethnic name, the majority ethnic in China is han people, we are han ethnic, not Chinese ethnic. 汉=漢
That‘s true!
There are 56 ethnic groups in China, and I am also an ethnic minority.
