Wet & Forget is the best!
Also, if you don't want to remove all the caulk and start anew, Loctite makes a nice caulk called Re-New that glides on over old caulking. It's very easy to apply.

Just used this for the first time in my shower today....I wet down the tile and the tub then sprayed it with the Wet and Forget Shower. I left it on for 10 hours and then I wet down each section of wall but I also wiped it down with a sponge to clean out the mold and mildew from the tile and the grout and then wiped down the tub, It actually wiped off the mildew easily and quickly without a ton of elbow grease. After wiping everything down with the sponge I wet the walls again to get rid of any residual product and the end result was amazing. For stubborn stains you do have to wipe it down regardless of what the product implies and for very dirty tile you may have to apply the product a second time but the end result should be great. Starting next week, I will use this product once a week and then just wet down the tile a few hours later without having to scrub since it's clean. Overall, I give the product high marks...at least for me, it did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Mother Daughter Projects hey I am blind. I just wanted to know how often do you have to spray. Is it every day? Or is it once a week? Or is it once every two weeks? Let me know please

How often are you supposed to spray? I’ve been spraying 2 times a week with poor results.
I’ve used the outdoor with good results.

It did well. There is still a little bit, although I think that it might be etch in my glass and nothing will fully remove it. It does well at preventing future water spots. -Steph

do you use the brushes to remove the mold by scrubing? I tried mine on the caulking area of my sink and the mold didn't want to go away. please advise

You’ll probably have to remove the old caulk and start new. Did you try the vinegar, water, dawn mixture? I would try that first. You’ll have to scrub though. Try an old toothbrush

Hi Samantha! Wet & Forget Shower works great on soap scum, shower grime, mold & mildew stains, and controlling hard water stains from coming back. Initially, you'll want to use something more acidic that targets mineral stains and hard water buildup, then use Wet & Forget Shower just once-a-week to help keep mineral stains from forming again.

I don’t like the results on my shower glass doors, but inside the tub and entire area. It’s fabulous! No soap scum, mildew or mold for almost a month with daily shower use.

Mother Daughter Projects OK thank you. One more question because I was listening to another video and I am so confused about what they were saying. At the moment that you spray. Is the bathtub or walls or anything has to be wet first and then you spray it? Or is it supposed to be dry first and then after you spray you wet the area’s? Let me know. My mom is going to Walmart soon. And I’m going to ask her to buy it with my credit card if they have it there hopefully they do. Because my mom is 63 years old. And she lives far away from me. It’s really hard for her to be coming over here all the time. This product will be nice for me to keep my showers clean always.

    • @MotherDaughterProjectsDIY
      @MotherDaughterProjectsDIY  3 года назад +3

You spray it on after you shower, so the walls would be wet when you apply it. (You might be able to spray it on dry walls, but I’ve never tried that.) Then each day you shower the product activates and cleans the walls. If the water from your shower doesn’t reach the walls, you might need to spray them with water. I have a detachable shower head that I use. -Steph

Thank you. So if you shower daily and that means you keep wetting the shower due to the daily shower it still only needs to be sprayed once in the week? Then the next day you shower and if you don’t shower you make sure you rinse it all away and then after this even if you shower and rinse all areas daily you still only spray once a week? Hope that made sense. Thank you.
I’ve having a new shower installed brand new so shall I use this the day before I intend to step in and have a shower? And spray after wetting the shower first? Thank you

Carful not to get any of this stuff on your wood cabinets. I accidentally dropped some on my varnished cabinet door below the sink and it stripped the varnish all the way to the wood.

WD-40 is great for removing silicone based caulk. Still worth a shot even if you don't know if it is for certain. Just be sure to clean the area afterward with simple green to get rid of the WD-40.
I gotta try this stuff, I never clean the shower often enough.

Apparently the water in Mother/Daughter's area is NOTHING like the hard-hard water in the Metro Phoenix area. Daghter's shower doesn't look perfect...but it looks better than mine. I've tried the product THREE TIMES and it does little or nothing. Sad! I think only a razor blade is going to remove our stuff.

Might I suggest that you give your shower as deep a clean as you can, and then retry the product.

Soap scum and calcium deposits are a mechanical removal process as far as I'm concerned... I've even tried using a pressure washer and it was not that great... Depending upon what sort of material your shower is make out of, a stainless steel pot scrubber pad will remove a lot of the scum... Works good on gloss tile and glass if you have a removable shower head so that you can have water flowing at the same time as you are lightly scrubbing... You definitely DO NOT want to use the 3M type green scrubbers on glass because they will scratch the glass, but a stainless steel pot scrubber is not hard / sharp enough to damage the glass as long as you have plenty of water washing the residue away... Once you get the majority of the soap scum and calcium deposits off with the stainless steel pot scrubber, "Bartender's Friend" scouring powder can be used... Most scouring powders cannot be used on glass, but this one can...
There are some stone materials that you should probably not use a stainless steel pot scrubber on though... I would avoid marble and travertine since they are softer stones... Also, if your shower door or surround is plastic or fiberglass, you should avoid a stainless steel pot scrubber...
