Dina Asher-Smith showing the value of experience here. She didn't panic after her slow start. She didn't over race, kept her form and relied on her technique to see her through to the gold medal. Brilliant.
I agree , no panic and simply pulled all the girls back in , it’s great to see a young athlete from Luxembourg tho . I mean where even is that on the world map right it’s so small ?!!
It's so beautiful to see the girls waiting for the results and hugging each other as they came up ❤ So much support!
When she went over the finish line you can lip read her saying “F*ck me!”
You're right
@9:45 - community service
I just made a dick of myself by laughing out loud as I saw her mouth that whilst watching this video on the bus 😂
😂
No you can't! Her head was down as she was dipping (badly). Now read my lips: "Fuck off. "
Swoboda's first ever individual medal in EURO CHAMPS participating since 2016
Thanks for the info
That lady Asher-Smith managed to win despite a terrible start, what a superb atlhete! Congratulations!!!
Congratulations to Asher Smith ...🤩🥇
Lovely to see unity across races
As long as there are no men masquerading as women, these girls deserve all the respect they can get.
Her second half of the race has really improved wow
Yeah, a year ago Dina would have been absolutely done for after that start.
So happy for her.
@@luckyspurs at least we are able to see positive results
Dina Asher Smith was fantastic & a marvel to watch in the final 30m or so.
So happy for Dina. She deserves it🎉👏👏
Hoping Dina goes sub 10.80 this year she has the talent! 🔥
shes been running high 10.9s all season and has slowly gotten slower since 2019. maybe she could with max tail wind. cant see her going any better in 2024...hope she does but i reckon shes a good bet for a 10.85 in Paris, if the wind isnt negative.
Yes, I agree. She seems to be peaking at the perfect time with the Olympics coming. I wouldn't be surprised if this is finally her year to run sub 10.8. She looks very comfortable.
She won't
@@johnthompson4151she looked better earlier years to run faster
She's running 10.9 with a bad start, so you never know.
Che bello vedere le atlete sostenersi a vicenda nell attesa del risultato. Questa è l atletica!
I was going to comment the same thing. Much more common among female athletes, I think, although we see a lot of this kind of support in field events, men's or women's. However and whenever it takes place, it's so great to see.
Nice to see how supportive and happy they are for one another despite being rivals in a sense.
Great run Asher ,we Jamaicans Love you, even us in Miami🎉
Dina a we cousin...Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce claimed her as a Jamaican 😅
"Fsck me" says Dina Asher-Smith at 9:45. That was too close.
Hahahaha She is hilarious
She said fab me! 🤣 I like how the lady kissed her competitor on the shoulder, I love the sisterhood ❤️💪🏾
@@LadyMul but did you see her approach Amy Hunt at all after the race or vice versa?
😁😁. I saw that on the replay. That's some funny shit that
Yes excatly I saw it
Damn, Joseph of France was moving that first 40m😮
I' can't wait to watch the USA track trials for Olympic
Sha'Carri stumbled on the start and still ran a 10:88 with her shoe laces untied...lol. Europe will not see that podium in this event.
@@OneYulaw Don't jinx it.
After a great start by Dina (10.83/21.88) in the Semi where she ran an easy looking 10.96 (0.3) in a little bit of rain, she got completely left in the blocks in the Final & really had to work her way through the Field (like McKenzie Long in the NCAA 100m Final) to run that 10.99 (0.7). Given the current W100/200m landscape, wonder which event represents her most realistic chance for her 1st ever Individual Olympic Medal? With Dina's Top 3 200m times of 21.88, 21.89 & 21.96, the 200m if Shericka (21.41) & Gabby (21.60) can get close to their best in 7wks time in Paris might just be it as that Bronze Medal is up for grabs between everyone else inc Dina! Swoboda & Dosso have had so many close 60/100m races this yr :) Hope they both run sub 11s this yr!
It's unfortunate for Europe but no one in Europe will see the podium in the 100m or 200m. Too many Super Elite runners from the U.S. and Jamaica. UK could possibly medal in the 4x100m relay.
All these woman are gorgeous like it’s some legit times in this line up!!! Asher is just 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨🥹🥹🥹🤤🤤🤤
I been watching track for 20 years now. I’m feel bad, but Lane 9 the best loser of all time. She always comes back strong enough to get on the best stages to never have a world moment. I feel so bad for her because she getting older . She has a chance just idk what it is. She has a great spirit no matter what and comes back next year unfazed. She will be remembered for her dedication to the sport and her ability to brush off negativity.✊🏾
She literally was world indoor champion in 2022, and has won 2x European 200m gold medals in 2022 and this year.
@@ffvgaming3735 I said world…. I see that but when it’s time to run a 100m against the world , where is she? We got newbie’s here and they in top.
Not many euro women has won world though.
It's good that Dina didn't panic after that start.
fantastic performance from Dina Asher Smith awesome
Ms. Asher Smith won on pure talent.
What is talent?
@@CalvinHikeswhat dina has
Plus a whole lot of sweat and HARD WORK! Don't neglect that.
You mean pure steroids.
& she gave them a head-start 🎉🎉🎉
That wasn't the smoothest race from Dina. At 9:44 it looks like she says "f*ck me" as she crosses the finish line LOL 🤣🤣🤣
What an athlete. marvellous
GO Asher-Smith; congratulation!!!
Lov this.
Joseph, Asher smith and dosso are some beauties!
Joseph start is insane!
What a comeback from Dina Asher-Smith
Congratulations Dina Asher -Smith Well done. You're the Champion 🏆 once again. You possess great Talent. All your hard work brought you Success. The BRIT
super from asher smith
Жарайсың Дина, жеңіс құтты болсын!🔥❤
Well done Ms Smith. Wonderful !
I love the way Swoboda leaped like a rocket after realising she got 2nd place. 8:03 bless her heart and well deserved.
Lets gooo!!! 💪🏾 😊
That was close, wow
Wish you would upload the Women's Long Jump final as it includes a new world lead
Congrats Asher
Strange how 2nd and 3rd placed are more excited than 1st place 😮
right i was curious about that and they ignored Dina like she was the plague?!?
Lane five is hot !
Brilliant
Well done all 3 medalists
Starts at 7:10
Why is the stadium so empty?
Football
@t.e.r.sven2....
The stadium is too big...
Mr. Announcer you are wrong! Musinga Kambunji is also under 10.90 in her lifetime. With a pb of 10.89.
"Dina Asher-Smith is also the only athlete to go sub 10.9 seconds this millenium as a winner of this title" - it refers only to the time set when winning European 100m gold.
@@cjitgomd what are you talking about out? Millenium? 1000 years?!? What?
@@mattsilva4377 embarrassed at being "challenged" yes? You know and we know it meant this century
@@stevecrocker6904 and Mujinga Kambunji also ran under 10.90. And if you read his post I am at a loss for words.
Dina!!!! 🏃🏿♀️🏃🏿♀️🏃🏿♀️
Brilliant to see Dina break 11 seconds and win off a bad start.
For too long it's been the other around, where she gets out like Christian Coleman and then seems to hit a wall at 60m. Has to be an enormous confidence boost.
Absolutely great girls!!! Beauties! Super!!!
Go Dina
I'm mostly impressed by Swoboda, her top end speed has improved.
Happy for Dina am a huge fan. Beautiful girl.
Dina has been the top of the game for some time now and she is clearly involved for a medal in the olympics
for me it's the sprinter from the lane 7 to make the false start but machines doesn't lie...
Gosh, nr 3 was out fast!!!
Please watch it again. The girl from Luxembourg was robbed. She came third but they gave it to the Italian girl. Watch the slow motion replay.... Watch her leg.
Torso determines who wins race not legs
@@ericasmith5546 I still stand on my point. The girl from Luxembourg came third.
Fun race. Dosso's windmilling form needs a bit of work, and she will get under 10.90 I think. 'Grats to Swoboda
Less people then a league two football games sad
Euro football
The U.S is about the sweep the sprint races.
What does "straight away" mean?
❤❤❤❤YES DINA MASSIVE CONGRATS, YOU CAN DO IT, NEXT THEM JAMAICA & USA, YOU'RE MADE OF THE EXACTLY SAME STUFF AS THEM, YOU CAN DO! AND WE MIGHT NOT BE IN THE STADIUMS BUT WE ARE ON OUR SCREENS CHEERING YOU ON, COME-GIRL! YOU CAN DO IT!
Dina is looking in great form but it's not close to being enough with American's and Jamaican's burning the field with insane speeds.
Ewka rakieta !!!
She needs to find 1/3rd of a second to get near the best, but only she knows if that is possible with her coach......great second half of the race she was well down which does remind me of Shar Cari........
A- Smith was like "F Me" at the end of the race LMAO
doso very talented.
good to see Amy Hunt (lane 1) back and healthy again (she ran 22.42/200 for the under 18 World Record in 2019). She needs to start better than this for the 100m though
The women runners from the rest of the world maintain focus on and off the track ignore distractions and BS of all kinds and runs through finish lines
The bronze beauty strikes again
Race starts at 7:11.
Dina
who came in 2nd and 3rd??? i think swoboda came in 2nd but the dosso and van der weken tied for 3rd ..
Dina must have lost a tenth with that start.
The yellow card completely messed Mijinga's head.
OMG Amy Hunt, I love you💖
As a man I have run 11.00 these girls are amazing.
Sha'cari Richardson ran a 10:86 in the semis on a bad start come from behind win
good luck in pare' 10.99 maybe enough for semi's
❤ 🇱🇰
i dont understand that false start lol, they had the slowest time marked wtf? am i misunderstanding something? 2/10ths is slower than the 1/10th allowable
I was wondering about that. I don't think the announcers looked at the actual reaction times.
Dosso ❤
Is this some kind of fastest model competition
So with the first start; Why did Kambundji (track 9, long black hair) get the yellow warning when Van der Weken (track 7, red hair-bun band) had the best start and was just ahead. Frame by frame we can see that when the gun goes off (optical flash of starting pistol) ALL the runners hand both hands on the track and ALL had both feet FLAT on their blocks. It looked like a great start to me but I don't know the rules.
Mind you all the runners, except for Kambundji had their hair tied back, while hers was a thick curly ponytail slumped forward over the line. Is that considered a head start... or is the robot just profiling??
Where us Dara Nieta???
Look out for Joseph.
Even though Asher ran fast but the best Sherricka Joseph
Swoboda did not get her usual lighting start. If she did she would have one. It was an uncharacteristically poor start from her.
Contrats Asher-Smith! Eyes on olympics now!!!👀
Italy is going to do so good in the Olympics.
In what events, sprinting?
@@jalynnbk6699 Overall.
@@matteando1490 Um 🤔 ok.
@@jalynnbk6699 Always in top10.
Top 10 doesn't get a medal. Only top 3. They may win 5 medals total @matteando1490
What's the date on this?
June 2024
Empty stadium all week. Football only started yesterday. Athletics just doesn’t have the draw it used to, except the Olympics, then everyone is an expert. Much like Wimbledon attracts people who have no interest in tennis the rest of the year.
They are such amazing athletes. Wish it got the attention it deserves.
You sound like you’re an expert. The dogs on the street know the stadium has been empty. Stay away from the word ‘expert’ or anything therin it contains, it doesn’t suit you.
That was an abysmal start by Dina
It wasn't the best start for Swoboda either, but they both took the top 2 spots. Great finish for the both of them.
Polska, Luxemburg, Niemcy!
Aaah my Jamaican cousin wins again. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hunt is very beautiful. Swoboda looks like she could not only run me down, but also kick my azz when she caught me.
My sweet love is Hunt 😘
When was this?? Says 2024.... I haven't seen it ..was it this month..June ?? Melanie 34 🌈 anyone knows please let me know ..with thanks...x
Gina is a good sprinter but she ha to improve her take off the blocks
Seemed like she, Dina and Kambundji got bad starts here, even Swoboda wasn't as quick as usual. Maybe the false start disrupted them
Too Hard. There is Shelly Ann Fraser Price, Shericka Jakson, Elaine Thompson Herah, Sha Carri Richardson, Gabby Thomas .. etc
7:14
Did Asher-Smith say a naughty word at 9:46 ?🤔
