It’s never made sense to me..some American was disqualified in the last Olympics for that. They start too fast after the gun. There needs to be a specific wait time and if you don’t wait long enough after the gun you’ll be disqualified

Bolt suffered from injuries in his last two seasons and struggled to get under 9.9 comfortably. The world standard for the 100m is 10.0, which is incredibly hard to get.
