Underrated - slash just knocked it out of the park and showed the doubters his middle finger again. He's still doing it, and better than ever. One of the greatest in my opinion like Green, Hendrix he has a tone that identifies him and he channels his emotion through his playing.

The feelings I get when I listen to Stevie Ray Vaughan tear into a Hendrix tune, I just experienced hearing Slash play in this beautiful, raw Jimmy Page style blues. As a guitar player I am moved by this work of beauty. Thank you Slash! Like Vaughn payed tribute to Hendrix but remained true to his own style, you just did the same thing with JP. Page influenced, but definitely signature Slash. PLEASE continue in this style. A young generation of guitar players are starving for it!
I must say, being somehow marooned in the 70's, I never gave this man a great deal of listening time: What an impressive guitarist. He has subtlety and nuance and the effortless touch and passion of a virtuoso.

he is so damn melodic. all of his solos, not just GNR one's are straight from his soul. He is a true axe-wielding composer.
