I get my thrifting fix with you Karen. Please continue to take us long. It so much crazy fun with you! And now you have added your boyfriend and he’s a hoot too!
Time goes by faster and more joyful when you are in love. Must be great that he supports your love of thrifting as you do.🌹I guess meeting in a thrift store is where to find a good man. Heehee. Really you two compliment each other so well. To bad about the prices but this was fun. Thank you so much again.🌹
My youngest daughter had one of those multi function oven/coffee pot things in her college apartment. I think we got it on Amazon. It was very practical for four years for her.
Zook is likely an Amish maker. I used to travel to Lancaster all the time just to go the quilts and fabric stores, of which one of my favorites was ZOOK’s, also eating at the Bird in Hand’s restaurant. It could all be different now, since the early 2000’s when I went.
That was a great video! It was fun and I do appreciate that you take the time to pick up several items, discuss them and many you put back. Very informative!
We used that Restore on our patio and deck. It took a LOT of product to do both and it's very thick and hard to roll on. However, it was worth the effort. We did it over 10 yrs ago and it is just now looking in need of a refresh. Oh and we've power washed it every summer since we had it. I am sorry we did not use it on the garage/basement floor.
White soup tureens are very popular now and they bring good prices Trinkets are nice but it seems to me you are missing on some very good items. Absolutely loved the mushroom canisters! Thank you, Karen and Roger!
After I donated my Grandmother's beautiful antiques to a Christian thrift shop,I went the next day to donate more, and seen that they threw her stuff away, so,that's how I started checking thriftshop dumpsters if I had access to them,wow..the stuff we sold on ebay and so does so many other people, the new shoes, clothes, appliances, from stores, everyone in my family had a Keurig coffee pot,I mainly gave everything away.
You two are couple goals😊 This was a really fun video! I also gasped when Roger sat in the egg chair, lol. I have a vintage bamboo one hanging in my very boho living room & nobody ever wants to sit on it because they’re afraid it won’t hold their weight, lol. I find it very comfortable & love to curl up in it & read:) Thank you for sharing these other thrift shops with us, although they were expensive, it’s still fun to see stores in other areas of the country. Have a blessed day, Karen (& Roger!) ❤ Edit- that body pillow towards the end was a great buy at only $20! I would have grabbed that for personal use:))
Fun video. Karen, you look so pretty that it makes me want to do a makeover lol as I’m also in my sixties. I love how well u take care of yourself even while working so much and so diligently. I too love to sell stuff. It’s my raisin d’être. PS, I call my hubby, “sweetie.” 💕
Love the tour of vintage shops! Loved the green boho pillows @ Thrift Elegance - definitely would have snagged them for $8.99. Such a great road trip with you & Roger!
I want that BIG basket....love that!!! Nice to see the two of you on such a beautiful day. That tree looks like a Balsam Hill. I would have bought that one. Great eye as always, thanks for sharing
I buy the substantial Longaberger baskets …. Laundry, umbrella, big square with leather handles etc. I do not want a house full of expensive cheesy baskets. I’m not a cutesie kinda Gal. Practical and tasteful. Plus I never went to in home parties that friends had/have hoping people would spend and spend so they could get their stuff for free and a bonus if someone booked a party. Yea there were snacks and wine ( helped if people got tipsy, they would buy more and have remorse later). Rant over. I don’t like home parties.
You said in a previous video that you don't know much about vintage glass. It can bring great profit. I'm using a book that is entitled 'Vintage Glass'. You can order books to help you find what sells. I have found that items from Italy, Germany, and Japan bring money. I sold a Tanala piece for 64$ and paid 3$ at Salvation Army. I found many books just researching the internet. Danni the Niche Lady is a wonderful teacher and so is Tiffany @ Thrifting Vegas. Stay blessed.
Thank you and Roger for sharing a day in the life of a reseller! A lot of work to find a few items in a day! I admire you work ethics and joy at what you do🥰
Farina is a starch powder made from a root plant (Cassava). Used in Caribbean and Moroccan cooking. That banding on the canisters makes me think more Caribbean then Moroccan in origin.
You should do a video on how you can maintain a new relationship and this ultra successful business. I don't know if that's too personal but I think it would help people to prioritize properly. Just a thought. I love your videos.
Ok it was fun to see what they had in little houses my daughter has the mushroom canister set but last WK we found the sugar and creamer no lid for .99cents each at goodwill she was so excited she has had the canisters for ten yrs so u can wait and find what u want sometimes I wonder if they come with lids are not
Love your vids, I was just at Mother Tuckers on Friday 10/28. I don’t often get over to that end of the state but I Love their stuff… oh and I mentioned your channel . 😊
Hola Karen, just subscribed have been bin (how's that for a homophone😁) watching your videos. Thank you so much, you have inspired me to dive in. Just downloaded the ebay app and took a deep breath...here we go. God bless you and all your loved ones.
Try estate sales the last day the prices r much better. Maybe not a good place to film. But u could do hall videos. Also what about a show on a hard packing job. Thanks Karen so enjoy learning from u! Best wishes ❤
Hi Karen, Landisville viewer ( and reseller here)! There are several Lancaster Co thrift stores I don't see featured on your channel. The small ones are my honey holes! You missed going to Freedom Thrift and NH Reuzit on your venture out east. Freedom Thrift is 6 miles from Country Gift and Thrift. I'm surprised with all the thrifting we both do I've never run into you!
I wanted to comment about gift and thrift in Whitehorse. Believe it or not, their prices used to be really reasonable. They used to offer $1 tags every Saturday on the clothing tag of the week. Shoes another items for either 50 to 75% off I can't remember exactly. We used to be lined up on Saturday mornings before 9:00 a.m. to get in the store for all the amazing finds. It's unfortunate, their prices have gone way up and to think everything is donated. I can't tell you the last time I've been there. The changes happened when they reopened after COVID. Very sad.
I WANT those PIGGY lights!!!! Did you get them???? =) Also it was too funny - that graphic of the VW Bus you have I immediately thought hmmm I think I see more of a VW Bug instead - and then you went into one of those stores you stopped at and immediately picked up the VW Bug paper weight!!! lol =) Also, that Christmas Tree....I wonder if it was to sell the lights on it? displaying the lights? Just a thought - I was looking around but I didn't see any boxes of lights when you were filming =) Ok =) You and Roger are too cute! =)
Hi Karen! I remember Peanut Butter Glasses from the 50's! I was between 4 - 12 yrs old. I believe they had a metal lid white with graphics. Don't recall the brand as the lids weren't kept. My Mother saved the glasses for many years. I brought them home after she passed away in the early 2000s. Patty 🎃👻🦇 Alberta 🇨🇦🍁
Restore Concrete Paint: my workshop is done in a similar product. On a box found in goodwill, check the production date and be careful of the listed Coverage Claim. You might have trouble getting enough of the same product, if the Coverage Claim isn’t more then you need. The claim are often wrong. It was likely leftover from a larger job that needed many boxes to do.
After you opened the box I had a follow on thought. The circle on the lid tells me it had color added (looked like a Home Depot paint tag) so you would have to check that you liked the color choice too.
That glassware in the beginning with the pink that was beautiful. We are trying to down size nick nacks but I would have loved those for me! Why are all napkin holders so small? I have 3 teens I would love a nice big one.
You should use a crossbody purse so you don’t have to keep an eye on your purse in the cart. I totally agree with music too loud. I don’t understand why some stores have it so loud. Maybe so people don’t stay long 🤷🏻♀️
On baskets,if the name is written in pencil, children made it that are Amish. They are allowed to sell what they make.its always in pencil on the bottom of the basket with the childs name, and usually their age
You are SO self disciplined! I wish I were the same! I get home, with no money and a car full of junk that "I Liked". I have tried to talk myself into not buyine everything that I like, I say, ok, unless I can make 3+ times the money back on a sale, and there's no danger of going over on the shipping, where it's packed and now I know the destination, a few dollars over in postage adds up, especially with the ridiculous increase in postage/fpriority flat rates. I still walk in with dog figurines, and suff I thought I couldn't do without :) You do a wonderful job with this! How you leave cool things behind,,,,,,,,I need to figure out. Maybe I need to bring your lives into the store w/ me to remind myself that I either don't need it. or I wouldn't make enough to justify my time :)
Those bi🎉g glass vases were probably the best item in the store I would have bought them to keep or resell on marketplace. Really have no more room in this house lol
I get my thrifting fix with you Karen. Please continue to take us long. It so much crazy fun with you! And now you have added your boyfriend and he’s a hoot too!
It was so much fun to go to these neat cozy places and to have the horse and buggy there...just wonderful.
😂🤣😂 When Roger said "Eastet" for the pig lights i fell over! 😂🤣👍
I would have bought the vase and bowl in a heartbeat.
I appreciate your willingness to share your world with us.
I’m sooo glad to hear your GW has no returns whatsoever. We like Roger a lot and want you to keep him! 😆
Time goes by faster and more joyful when you are in love. Must be great that he supports your love of thrifting as you do.🌹I guess meeting in a thrift store is where to find a good man. Heehee. Pigs are a German New Years good luck thing.
My youngest daughter had one of those multi function oven/coffee pot things in her college apartment. I think we got it on Amazon. It was very practical for four years for her.
I've seen them in catalogs like Seventh Avenue
So glad you got the mushroom cannisters. They are so good!! Love seeing how much fun you and Roger have together❤
I also wanted to thank you for the heads up to the reunited in Bird in Hand, never knew it existed!
What a beautiful day you two have for a drive!!
Zook is likely an Amish maker. I used to travel to Lancaster all the time just to go the quilts and fabric stores, of which one of my favorites was ZOOK’s, also eating at the Bird in Hand’s restaurant. It could all be different now, since the early 2000’s when I went.
I absolutely look forward to every one of your videos! The small teal coffeemaker would be great for an RV.
Hi 👋 how are you doing ?
Those beautiful pink glass where pieces would look beautiful in your living room.
The little cat was atop a hinged trinket box.
That was a great video! It was fun and I do appreciate that you take the time to pick up several items, discuss them and many you put back. Very informative!
I love it when you have your Boyfriend on . He is so cute😉
Roger is such a sweet man! Cute too! I think you have a keeper!

Love the coffee maker. Looks like a American girl doll toy. I totally loved it. Pink glass vase and dish is beautiful. Love the wooden shelf.
Thank you for your channel. I always look forward to Sunday and Wednesday.
Hi 👋 how are you doing?
I am from the UK and so I love to see the lovely buildings that are the back drop to some of your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Jan.x

Hi 👋 how are you doing?
The cat is a trinket box. Pill boxes are smaller and more practically made for transporting in a purse or pocket.
Hi 👋how are you doing?
Love the tour of vintage shops! Loved the green boho pillows @ Thrift Elegance - definitely would have snagged them for $8.99. Such a great road trip with you & Roger!
I would love to see a home tour. Your decor is so elegant!
YAY ! karen thank you for speaking up today 😁i could hear you so clearly it was GREAT !!! great video as always
I want that BIG basket....love that!!! Nice to see the two of you on such a beautiful day. That tree looks like a Balsam Hill. I would have bought that one. Great eye as always, thanks for sharing

Hard day for deals. Well you got a deal on the owl 😜
Loved those tiny kitchen appliances,,,,wow.

Prices were great in all the stores if you are buying for personal use.
That pink glass is BEAUTIFULL. Not all glass is marked u just have to go on quality. I think u should have picked that up.
I love Thrifty Elegance.
Thank you and Roger for sharing a day in the life of a reseller! A lot of work to find a few items in a day! I admire you work ethics and joy at what you do🥰
You’re too sweet!! I should be sending you a prize🤣
Farina is a starch powder made from a root plant (Cassava). Used in Caribbean and Moroccan cooking. That banding on the canisters makes me think more Caribbean then Moroccan in origin.
I love all the vintage cheese, sour cream glasses. I was researching & found that a couple I have are peanut butter glasses, love swanky swigs too!
Love the little owl!
I love vintage office supplies ❤
Thanks for taking us along.
I was hoping you were going to show us how much the mushrooms 🍄 canister were selling for on your search price app.
You should do a video on how you can maintain a new relationship and this ultra successful business. I don't know if that's too personal but I think it would help people to prioritize properly. Just a thought. I love your videos.

2nd comment- I love the mushroom canisters & sugar & creamer! That was a great find! I am glad you got them! 😊
Thanks for the video! You are always inspiring!
That colored glass when you came in the front door is all vintage.
I bought the same set of mushroom cannisters and flipped local on FB. Sold quick, no shipping hassles.
That was a long day for you, but having Roger along must have made it bearable. 😊
Love the ReUzit shops, didn't know Bird in Hand had one. They usually rotate a color of the week discount.
I hope you 2 made your way to dinner. What a fun trip. So romantic 😍
Enjoyed this video. That second shop was expensive
The second store is re seller with prices similar to yours so I imagine not a place for you to shop like the big thrift stores.
T you have. Asked twice so wanted you to know that they are trinket called boxes. People put little gifts in them. Highly sought after. 😊
Thank you!! It was fun tagging along, shopping with you and your sweetie!💕
You and Roger are just too cute!!
I Just comped the large longaberger basket 1 sold TODAY for $145 w $113 shipping. 😳
What?? Lol so crazy!
@@lanna7917 yes, look it up!
When you said “ that looks to be new”. Sent me over lol
I love it when husbands help withThrifting,
Goodwill has turned into Greed! Greedwill!
Motivating me to get back to reselling & thrifting!😉
Fun shopping with you guys

I only recently heard of peanut butter jars. I have no recollection of those growing up. Only remember jelly jars.
The little oven is used by a lot of campers.
Try estate sales the last day the prices r much better. Maybe not a good place to film. But u could do hall videos. Also what about a show on a hard packing job. Thanks Karen so enjoy learning from u! Best wishes ❤
Well, it looks like you had a fun day, even if you didn’t buy a lot!
Very fun video.
Hello how’re you doing?
I have the same large Longeberger basket. I paid $5.00 at the Salvation Army.
Love your videos. New subscriber from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦.

Peanut butter glasses are basically same as jelly glasses. Peanut butter used to come in them.

The prices at my thrift stores are high for used things too!!:-/ even broken stuff has high prices!
I don't have any peanut butter glasses, but I do have about 40 snuff glasses!

Also, as it is with paint, the product would be useless if it has ever frozen … and you don't know.

I can’t fit camera equipment into a crossbody
The prices at our Goidwill have gone so high, I’m wondering if their rent and utilities went way up.
I sold two Merry Mushroom canisters for 69.00.
Do you have any videos showing how you package and get your sales ready for USPS?
On baskets,if the name is written in pencil, children made it that are Amish. They are allowed to sell what they make.its always in pencil on the bottom of the basket with the childs name, and usually their age
Over this weekend I found a hippopotamus candle, I did the same thing, I put it back, I just couldn’t 😮😂

Those stores weren't thrift stores. Guess it's best to stick to goodwills! Vintage creamers never have covers.
The little boxes are trinket boxes. Some can sell for very good money
I saw some plates at 14:56 a large stack of white ones . Misaka French country ??? If so they sell well I just bought some on ebay for myself
At our goodwill if it is not the special of the day then you have 15 days to return the item.
The Thrift store is taking the lead with the Goodwills.
Those beautiful heavy glass items may have been Murano or Cech glass.
You missed the autumn farm picture from home interiors at about 19:25. Curious what they were charging.
Hi 👋how are you doing?
