Roger is by far the best you've ever found in Goodwill.
Absolutely!!

I love seeing Roger in the videos. He seems like such a sweet, good-natured man.
The Project Linus in our area donates blankets to babies in the NICU, cancer patients, and children in foster care. I work with kids in foster care and we insist the blankets go with the kids wherever they’re placed. For kids in care, they’re placed in a strangers home where nothing is theirs and it feels transitory. So our kids will ferociously protect anything that belongs to them. Project Linus is nationwide and they’re always looking for volunteers😉
That’s really beautiful, I can’t believe I’ve never heard of it.
@@brendatomlinson me either.
Our middle school in my town has an after school club where the kids meet to make these.
I don't understand why they didn't buy the quilt and donate it to some program that provides these quilts. Maybe they did, I'm just starting the video.
My wish for the new year is to find myself a guy like Roger. What a sweet, good sport.
Roger is a true gentleman! He took the item to put back for you 🤩🤩🤩
He definitely is!! 😁
I enjoyed seeing Roger's clothing haul! He does seem comfortable on camera these days! What a Cutie Patootie!
I think so too! 😁👍
“Any time a product says it’s quality, it’s probably not quality.” 😂 Same, in my experience, with clothing brands that have fashion in the name!
Anything sold as a "collectible"? Isn't!
@@MelywoodMedia Another good one!
Mail that says important, personal, confidential = junk mail.
Just Love Roger and his sweet demeanor! So adorable that you met doing what you both love!
Love seeing Roger getting more comfortable with the camera🤗.. he’s even doing mini hauls for us, thank you for sharing Roger🤗.. Happy Thanksgiving to you both🤗💕🙏🏼
Roger is the sweetest man seems so kind hearted
The rings with sticks are curtain ties, to draw open curtains. Pull the drape thru the ring then slide the pin behind to hold it. Similar to 80’s/90’s T shirt ties that you wore on the bottom corner of a shirt.
I love a man of character!💞 Roger seems like a sweetheart, & a perfect match for you! So fun to see you two in action together! Happy Thanksgiving, I'm grateful for your channel💞
Thank you so much!!
Yes wonderful couple 💑, I need to find that kind of haul for myself
You lucky woman you! Roger is such a kind, soft spoken man. He’s a keeper.
I love your videos!! I’m so happy for you and Roger too!! ❤️🌹🌺
Indian in the cupboard was my son’s favorite book!
It's a popular middle age literature pick for homeschoolers.
Yes, people do use corn dishes. Artificial trees sell for hundreds of dollars, even for small ones. $60 is not a bad price.
That Dansk is trivet on one side and bread board on other side.
You are so fun ! Fun to shop with fun to listen to too - just love your videos 👍good work and thank you for taking us along with you on your shopping adventures I give you an A ++ 😊💕😊
The Indian in the Cupboard is the first in a series of children's books. In the story a boy puts a plastic Indian in a cupboard and locks it with a key. The cupboard is magic and the Indian comes to life. The boy is then responsible for a very small real person. Next he puts a cowboy in the cupboard, etc. These books are very well written and and humorous but also teach some subtle lessons about responsibility, The book was made into a movie. The Indians you found were promotional items for the movie. Sold comps for new ones are $8.99 to $12.99.
LOVE this! I wish our Denver GW did $2 tuesdays, they just mark them 50 off. I noticed not as much Christmas too, maybe more resellers? PS your videos are making me want to move to PA! My dad was from there and I've always loved Hershey! xo
The key is about the movie the " Indian in the Cupboard " The little boy had a key that opened the cupboard and brought the indian to life. A great clean movie for you and Roger to watch.
How cute is Roger, always with the finds! You two are so awesome together, and he seems like such a nice man! Perfect couple! You guys inspire me that I can get my man to find me thrifts (and enjoy it) :) Your goodwill is cheaper than ours in Upstate NY, some shirts have gone up to 8-$12. Not good for resale. I had to set rules for myself NOT to grab a cart and only buy "finds" or items that I can make at least 3x profit. Some of my clothing brands that used to sell well, j jill and j crew, have slowed a bit unless I deeply discound, and I only have NEW or new without tags!! Vs the Store, i'd think they'd sell faster. My underarmour stuff is new w tags and NICE, but they don't sell often. I occasionally will buy only for us to wear. Nike is a better seller and Adidas is not good for me. Great finds for $2. I also buy all brass candlesticks (to my detriment LOL)...but when you gather some neat shapes into a lot, they can bring a profit. The shipping kills so many sales, you've taught me so much over these past couple years..
Not that you asked ; but the carving fork is made that way so you can hold on to the breast of poultry & slice it on the bone. You can actually get the knife in there while holding everything in place!
oh my gosh...roger in fez hat I'm dying! love him
It's always fun shopping with you and Roger. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Hello Karen! My passion in life is interior and exterior design. I absolutely love the new white color of your home. I truly feel that black trim would be stunning. Hands down the lighter wood look roof that you showed, would be amazing. Check out Joanna Gaines decor on Pinterest etc... She often uses white as a main color with black accents and always has a medium colored wood element incorporated into her decor along with greenery. That would look outstanding with your plants, trees and the like! My husband and I are completely remodeling our other property here in California, in order to sell and these are the colors & elements that we are using inside an out. So far, everything looks stunning! It completely refreshes a stale old looking home and brings it to a whole different (extremely improved) level. Congrats on the great boyfriend!😃
I love you and Roger together. Your energies are perfect together ❤.
Goodwill Bins: In some locations, they exclude the heavy items from the per pound price and if you ask, they will give you a set price for larger or heavier items. It makes some items, like the game boards, a better deal then the per pound price.
I was just thinking of how comfortable Roger seemed when you said it, too funny!! Love seeing a guy's perspective on clothing, good job Roger!
Roger is one of three men on the planet who can successfully pull off a mustache. You two are adorable.
"Indian in the Cupboard" is a student novel, probably published by Scholastic? There is also a children's movie made on the book.
The little mystery figure in the bag looks like the Iron Giant to me! Great movie.
Pennsylvania is the place to be...for reselling. Good video.
Love the schoolhouse set and the Indians that your friend scored
You know you are at "that level" when you are buying "the sticks and the hoop things" lol :)
😂 love this!!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Roger and families! Great video. Roger seems like such a kind man. You two make a great couple!
Hi greetings from Perth Western Australia.
Nice haul. The round items with sticks is actually like a tieback for curtains.
You put the rings at the front and centre part of the curtain panel ,then you secured the sticks from the sides of the circle rings from left to right.
It's to hold the curtain in place instead of it flapping when the wind blows.
Hope this make sense.😁
Thanks for the info! 💜
Great video !!! Love Love Love.
You both found fun this, the round wood thing, maybe a serving tower, insert the dowels from the bottom up, and then plates in the center of the pretty carved circles ? I’m just taking a guess.
How awesome is Roger? Handsome, tall, sweet, with a great smile, almost mischievous like. You two look so cute together. I am so happy for you!
I also love how much more comfortable he is on camera.
Happy Thanksgiving to you both!!!!
That's about right for a Christmas tree especially if it is pre-lit. 😊
I think a wood colour will give your house a «warm and cozy» look. I think it will go well with your front door too.
The brown aisle has always been my favorite! I love the idea of adding some shingle detail to your home. My son just did the same thing on his house. He painted his house a very light taupe grey color & put wooden shingles in the alcove area above his garage. The shingles have a grayish tint to them & they look gorgeous! They really made his house pop! I convinced him to paint his front door (although he’s still on the fence about it) a very deep burnt orange/rust color & it looks absolutely beautiful! Anyway, love everything you bought. Your Goodwill’s are so exceptional! I hope you & Roger & the rest of your beautiful family have a very blessed Thanksgiving. 🦃 Thank you for sharing, Karen. Edit- the school house furniture set is EPIC! What a great find! xo
The lightshade was gorgeous!
You have a great voice. That’s one reason I subscribed. Good job !
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
The schoolroom is adorable.
Thank you! You too!
I wish South Africa had thrift stores like yours. I love watching videos and learning. You do alot of shopping, even though you have over 3000 inventory in your basement. ❤️🇿🇦
Everything in her basement is listed. With EBay you have to keep stocking your store with new merchandise to keep your store traffic up. EBay algorithms promote an active store. That is why Karen is so successful.
The first action figure Roger pulled out looked like The Iron Giant. A cool kid movie.
That's what I was thinking as well!
@@denisewright4778 Such a great movie. My son just loved it. It has become a bit of a cult movie. It has a following. I but that little guy would sell quick.
You are right! I'm a 90s kid and iron giant, tmnt, and Indian in the cupboard were hot 🔥
Sarah Plain and Tall, Hays Kansas Train Station.
Love your videos !!! Also love when Roger is shopping with you . Happy Thanksgiving to you both !
Happy holidays!
Some days the outlet seems like nothing but old totes and broken christmas trees! 😅
I had those game boards as a child . I hope I can find them in my area one-day! They lay on top of a card table and you can play all the different games then place boards behind the couch or under a bed . Very good idea for space saving!
For me personally I am so sick of gray it is so drab... Throw a little color in there! You really do have a beautiful home 💕
This is the first video that I had me laughing! Roger is a good sport.
Loved it when you mentioned Sheffield I live very to the city well know for its steel
People who redo houses suggest 3 colors on the out side.
I agree that finding decent holiday things is so rare. Normally Christmas is my season. I find so many ornaments and beautiful things. I don't know if others have gotten into the game or maybe less people are donating Christmas? It's hard to tell.
Hello! The round wooden hoops with sticks are drapery tiebacks. You gather the drape, pull it through the center and slip the stick behind to hold the fabric.
Oh my goodness! I can't believe Roger agreed to be on your thumbnail!!!
Me too!! 😂
Watching these type video drives me crazy as I see you go right past something I collect and i5 does even catch your eye! I’m hopping up and down I; my chair thinking “go back! Go back!”
The Indian in the cupboard is a really cute movie, little bear is a character in the movie. He comes to life when the little boy uses the key to open the cupboard that little bear is stored in.
The Indians in see thru case are a promotional items for the movie Indians in the cupboard movie.
THe key is to open the cupboard. You should get the movie...I watched it with my grandson.
You and Roger have a blessed Thansgiving.
Indian in the Cupboard is a great movie for kids! I remember this movie when it came out when my kids were younger.
I remember taking my son to see that movie. He’s 31 now🥹
The little robot figure in Roger's bag is from the Iron Giant movie
I love that movie. I cry every time I watch it.
hi Karen, the rings and the sticks are for curtains.
Greetings from Germany
At first I didn't understand but I think a portion of the curtain would go through the ring and then you would use the stick to hold it in the ring?
Welcome!! Thanks for being here!! 💜
Interesting…
I have a bag rule. If I am committed to purchasing the item but need to confirm brand or condition then I open the bag. Otherwise, I don't just open a bag. I often get approached by emplyees about opening bags that are stapled and tape. Our Goodwill and I would say all other sellers in my area, do not want bags opened. I ignore them. Lol. I'm tired of purchasing trash...like silverware with disposal damage. Sometimes a good inspection is required.
The Iron Giant! The robotic figurine
I like the idea of wood to warm the look of the house!
I think that’s an iron giant figure!! We love that movie! With the Indians and tnmt stickers!
Ninja turtles. Awesome stickers. Cartoons.
I would definitely do the wood color for your house. You can always buy or paint/stain your door to match. In the spring you can lay your mulch down in same color as the wood you put on house. The wood color classic on white and would never go out of style. You can always decorate with splashes of color outside.
Those wooden board games would be fun to decorate a game room wall with. Something to ask your bins, our bins will charge a flat rate for games and not by the pound. The horseshoe game after being weighed was gonna cost $20 until I told her it was a game and then I was charged $1.59.
Roger is just so cute! You guys make such a great pair🥰 Happy Thanksgiving Karen !
Happy Thanksgiving!! 💜
You are such a doll! I am revisting your channel & quite engaged 😃 I love how you share the wealth & the knowlege, I'm looking at & picking up things I normally would not cause of you.💥
"I'm in a mood" lol!
Looking you up when in PA, we can do Panera, I like those teas too!
ROGER THAT 👍
Roger and yourself are the best! Love you guys together ❤
I have Certainteed Seagrass on my house and it's BEAUTIFUL. All my interior walls are Alabaster and I'm planning to paint my kitchen to match the seagrass vinyl color. It just looks beautiful together!
That's a great book!!! Sarah Plain and Tall....
Roger sure knows we're the good stuff is.
the indian is from the movie Indian in the cupboard I worked at Zellars and we sold Champion lol my kids would not wear it now my oldest grandson ask for it lol
The coasters are a good buy. 2026 is the USA 250th birthday. Americana will be very popular. Even though it's three years away it doesn't hurt to start picking up that style. Do I sound crazy?
Crumb catcher board for bread slicing and serving
There was a movie Indian in a cubard my daughter had one
We belong to a women's club. We hand quilt each year and raffle off the quilts which typically bring 3000 dollars. In addition, we contribute machine sewn kids quilts to the project linus but, if you ever find one for sale, it probably came from a previous owner and would be okay to purchase.
Our Goodwills here in Oregon near greater Portland area don't do the $2. thing.
The 5th week they go 1/2 off for a week. If they don't sell it all goes to the bins.
That's how I find designer items, they just priced it to high, so perfectly good things go to the bins.
In the Eugene Oregon area they don't have the bins, they mark down 50% if it does'nt sell it goes to 75% off.
the circles with the sticks go on curtains to hold them back
Marriage is a lifelong friendship you got ithirl
Because of the pandemic the Christmas celebrations the the last few years have not been as big. Maybe that is why the Christmas stock at Goodwill is lower
I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but the gray robot is The Iron Giant.
Another fun video! Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Roger.
shoot i would have bought the blue rooster pot my kitchen is roosters
The Indian came with book The Indian in Cupboard. My son had one back in 90’s . Get finds thank you for sharing!
Great Goodwill! I love shopping at Goodwill. Not all of them operate the same then because it never has $2 day. Tuesday is senior day when seniors get 15% off. They don’t display anything you’d want to buy only junk they desperately wanna get rid of. Even if I was a senior I wouldn’t want it for that meager % off!
Ok I love watching u two in the store it's great to have a partner who loves to do what u love I couldn't see u with anyone else but Roger is the best thing u picked up at goodwill y'all look to have a blast shopping but behind the scenes it's hard work editing shipping organizeding but u do love what u do so when u say go out and get what's your u sure did (Roger) just kidding have a great Thanksgiving
Thanks so much!! 💜
Ninja turtles are making a big come back. Glad I saved my sons from 1990's. My grandson is in his glory 🥰
I think the fork is like that so it holds both sides of the meat up. Less diagonal slicing!
You should get the plates you could give them away with some cookies etc ....plus you get to keep the plate you liked. A win win 😊
I have a similar cookie jar that has a meow(er) in the lid.
I have been thinking about the exterior of your home....so here is my input. Charcoal fabric awnings would look amazing over your front windows, adding so much charm. The front of your home is mostly a flat elevation, the awnings would add depth to the front. My neighbors added fabric awnings...it was a beautiful addition. Just my 2 cents worth. I think Roger is a great addition as well...love seeing him in your videos.
Thanks for the tips!
Nice video! Love watching your videos!
I would've definitely bought the horse bookends! They were beautiful!
Those wooden circles with the sticks are to hold your curtain in the middle. It you pull the curtain through the hole a little and hoop the stick through the wood :P
Nope……I LOVE the brown isle😀
