Yes Karen, alot of people will buy one single cup. If you can get them for $1 - $3 a cup and sell them for $12 & higher it's well worth it. They are easy to pack & ship. Quick & Easy Profit. 10 minutes of your time.
As far as single coffee mugs ... that's the way I like to buy them. I don't like to have sets in my house. I like the individuality of having unique single mugs.
Wow, I literally spit my coffee out when you said the tree slices were $6.99 each! That is crazy for sure! I actually had a business selling tree slices & wooden crates to be used for rustic weddings, vintage trade show & mall booths, etc. I literally supported myself for over 5 years with this business (Covid shut it down). This being said, I only charged $4.99 each for my slices & they were from fallen forest trees & treated with a clear varnish so they’d last. Yes, I was that crazy that I would go out in the forest with a chainsaw to slice up fallen trees! (Of course, only where I had permission, mostly on my friend’s property). Anyway, great video, Karen. Wednesdays & Sundays are my favorite RUclips days! xoxo
Hi Karen - I had the 1998 version of the Jingle Bell Rock Santa. It was still in original box, and I had paid $19.99 for it. I took video of it working and listed it on Poshmark on December 1st last year and it sold within 11 days for $105. Cheers, Katia
You asked if anybody ever buys one cup... Yes!! If you find a phenomenal really cute good quality coffee cup a lot of people are interested. I don't always want four coffee cups that are the same because everyone in my family drinks different kinds of coffee or tea. I know many people who would buy one cup for themselves so maybe you should pick up that really cool cup or mug as long as it is within your profit margin of course. 😊☕ Also, absolutely love your videos! ❤
Thanks again for your awesome videos. I’m one of those weird people that would absolutely buy one mug if I loved it. In fact, I would totally buy the yellow cat mug from you!
I would have gotten the cat mug to keep! But also to sell. I know a lot of people that would buy a single mug myself and personally I don't really like sets of mugs.
Found a roach crawling on a skirt in my Goodwill in NJ... freaked me out. That's the first I ever saw. I do keep everything in a garage, and use a Ranger to heat kill items before bringing in. I'm having a VERY hard time going back to that goodwill.
There is a certain restaurant in our town where there is a wall where you can bring in and hang your mug on it. So many people bring in their favorite mug to drink their coffee from. The restaurant washes it and puts it back up for your next visit. It's so fun looking at all the different mugs.
I have listened to you for a long time and I finally need to let you know. I am a single women and have been for a long time. I would buy that single cup from you. As a reseller I have sold more single cups than pairs or sets of mugs. This mug was especially cute and West Elm. Do we love a good cat mug. Yes we do.🙂
I would buy one coffee mug from you and I love cats. Also I enjoy seeing your sold videos. Nice score! So nice to have a partner in the same business too. ❤️
Your Goodwill vids are my favorite and your narration is always great. You’ve got that quality to talk to us during your vids; that’s not easy, it’s basically talking to yourself in public, even though you know you’re making a video. Was it harder when you first started filming for YT?❤
Hi Karen, always love watching you shop! Do you get the 20% off monthly Goodwill coupons in your area? I'm in Phoenix and we get them regularly here by email each month. They're good for the whole month! You and Roger should make a trip out to Phoenix! The weather is great now thru May and we have fantastic thrift stores here! Some really high end stuff at fantastic prices. Drive in, shop till ya drop, then rent a small U-Haul trailer for trip back... you'd make a killing and probably not have to thrift for awhile...🥳 Also get a nice vacation in and write off your entire trip!!!
@@wightwick13 Well, YOU must not be looking in the right places! I've furnished three homes here in the last 20 years with gorgeous thrift store finds, high-end designer furniture, beautiful antiques! You sound a bit cheeky, but I'll tell you a few places anyway: there are several Goodwills that I've scored gorgeous clothing, antique furniture, collectibles, beautiful antiques rugs, stain glass lamps, etc., - one in Happy Valley, North Phoenix (near airport), Chandler, Mesa. One of the best Goodwill stores is out in Apache Junction! There's two animal rescue boutique thrift stores in North Phoenix, Rescued Charities (40th & Thunderbird) and Foothills Animal Rescue Thrift (Pima Rd). Then there's the White Dove Thrift Stores, love these stores: three in the metro Phoenix area... Can't tell you the antique treasures I've scored from these places, esp. the Mesa and Scottsdale stores... Wow, wow, wow. I've pretty much had to stop collecting at this point because my house looks like a maximalists museum! So, hope you have some better luck. My family cannot believe all the wonderful things I've discovered thrifting. I just love to thrift, been doing it for at least 35 years. It's been a great adventure! Too-dal-loo! 😘
Apologies for sounding cheeky and thank you for your response. Have heard of and/or shopped at several of the places you mentioned. Found treasures over the years but the likelihood of finding any these days I find is few and far between. Friend used to volunteer at Foothills Animal Rescue Shop so she took my ‘better’ items and the rest went to Goodwill (Scottsdale and Thunderbird). Still donate to same Goodwill but anything of value now put on consignment and have done very well $$$ wise. Remember when there were several second hand stores in Scottsdale Airpark - bought several pieces of furniture there. Used to find great deals and treasures at J & K Furniture (24th Street (?) and Bell) and in the other stores in same row. Cave Creek and Thunderbird stores were fun as was The Dump in Cave Creek. There used to be a store at Seventh Street and Thunderbird that had a lot of furniture/furnishings from model homes - bought many items from them - it moved years ago to where I cannot remember. Learned from one of the best about thrifting - my Mum - she was a ‘professional’ shopper; shopped in ‘experienced’ stores all over the UK and parts of Europe; could spot a fabulous item on sale at 50 paces, and, volunteered at a NSPCC Charity Shop in UK for many years. Again, apologies and thank you for information.
@@wightwick13 No worries. It sounds like you're an experienced thrift shopper, too! I have to control my shopping habit, but I still go out occasionally and never have trouble finding great things! I recently found a Hollywood regency sectional sofa (upholstered in opaline green silk, in pristine condition) in a thrift shop (Purple Heart) in Apache Junction. I paid $250 dollars for it and thought I was dreaming! The color is absolutely my favorite! It was an unbelievable find. Within a month, in the same town at a Goodwill, I found a matching Tibetan wool area rug and paid $24! The original price was still on back for $1500, and it was in near perfect condition! At that Goodwill (Idaho & Apache Junction) I've found incredible collectibles, amazing paintings, I even found a like-new Berkey Water Filter! I lived in North Phoenix for several years and found a plethora of amazing things shopping the thrift stores in that area. I still believe you can find great deals and very high-end items in Metro Phoenix because of the influx of retirees, Californians, and general wealth in area. Good luck in your searches and best wishes! 😊💖
OMG the 🎅Santa nesting doll set was EVERYTHING!!!🤩 YESSSS we defiantly want only one mug. I would have snagged that cat mug for sure- lots of people collect anything CATS( myself included😊) WOW your sold comps at the end had me SHOOK😱 Amazing job Karen!!!!👏👏👏
2nd comment- Just fyi- I buy single coffee cups all of the time. I personally don’t want to buy more than one because it’s just me in my apartment. I’m sure I’m not the only one that looks for single mugs. I like to have 4-6 mugs that I really love at a given time. This way I always have a cute coffee mug to share if I have a friend over for coffee. ☕️☕️☕️
Karen, I sell single mugs all the time for decent money $16 to $25 and usually the buy cost is 50 cents to 1 dollar, the pottery mugs sell very well and dunoon mugs do well for me, and of course some starbucks, people want to replace 1 in a set or just want to collect nice well made mugs, Plus I cringe when I have to ship a set of mugs lol.
I buy and sell single mugs as well. It started out because I was always buying mugs when I thrifted and I needed to get rid of some of them, but then I realized how much people enjoy buying mugs online and I made it part of my business. It isn't uncommon for people to bundle a piece of clothing and a mug in my store (likely because of shipping costs).
Northern Arizona GW do $2 for color of the week on Thursday's. If a color of the week item is priced $3.99 or less, it will be 1/2 price, not $2. The better discount prevails. For example, a color of the week item originally priced $2.99 would be $1.49 on $2 day. I appreciate your videos and love your exuberance 😊
I enjoyed the walk through Goodwill in this video. I love the Vanity Fair robe! I cannot find VF items anymore. The Russian Nesting Dolls 🎎 are adorable
Love your videos. But, like many, I live alone and have no use for large matching sets of anything. Thats boring, anyway. Most of My mugs are one or two of a kind, so aremany of my dishes, and I love having variety. The cheetah mug was nice!
My name is Vicki . Too bad I am not there . I would have bought the box. I just recently bought NWT Vera Bradley black floral small crossbody purse for $10 on senior day . I bought it for me to use to carry light when I am a place like Disney etc
At 11:54 the ink spots remind me of when we had to change toner cartridges in the copy machine at work. Horrible. I got to the point where i would only wear black to work. Sometimes a cheap hairspray will remove ink staons.
Fabulous LL BEAN find! Always get that and Eddie Bauer and Land's End. All I wear and it lasts forever, and I'm hard on them as I have to go to barn twice a day minimum. Eddie Bauer has had odd cloth in their pull over shirts in last few yrs... not sure what happened to their quality, but their lined pants are awesome and i've bought some from you, a must for 45 degree days...
Whenever I see Goodwill videos I am always alarmed at the amount if items, the excess in America and how easily people donate to make room for more stuff. Why don't people donate items to orphanages, hospitals and places of need. I understand the places such as this provides an opportunity for resellers to earn a living. If people just lived simple lives and appreciate what they have instead of buying so much stuff just to get rid of it. I enjoy your videos because you pick up really interesting items. Greetings from Cape Town South 🇿🇦.
It really depends on what is available. I prefer to donate to local shops that help the community in some way. The churches only accept items leading up to some event so they won’t take things year around. I think donating to GW is more about convenience (one trip, take it all). Our churches nearby do seek food items and keep a pantry. I do agree having so many ‘things’ is very excessive here.
😮 dumpster divers are finding too many great reusable, donatable items including food, in trash.....IDK IF PEOPLE ARE IGNORANT About What to do with these items ....or they are too selfish..... hopefully it's not the latter part!!!! You can donate clothes to schools, pre- schools, hospitals, nursing homes , I work at a community college that helps the students find jobs once they graduate....and we take dressy ( interview type of clothing,) shoes, purses, jewelry, suits etc. Think of others in these expensive times!!!! You will help others, and feel great doing it!!!
Yes! This comment! We have so much excess in this country, it’s actually embarrassing. The older I’ve gotten, the less I need & the more aware of excess I am. I see you in the comment section often & I always enjoy your opinion on things. Thank you for sharing. xo from Portland, OR, US
I am amazed how much you get for some of these vintage items! Would luv for you to do a video on how you package items and how you figure shipping and how you send them to the buyers!
Vintage LL Bean Canvas Boat and Tote bags from the 1980's bring hundreds of dollars. I recently learned this so wanted to share with you. I see the Goodwill's where you are have a lot of bags. Nice finds as usual!
I snagged a medium sized green handled one for 50¢ at a church yard sale. Sold it for $30. I own another (navy with green handles) I bought for myself in the 1980s that sells for $300+, but I won't part with it.
Nesting Santas are a great find! I have a closet full of Michael Simon sweaters that I'll never wear again. They are gorgeous high-quality sweaters. Belle Pointe is another good label to look for in vintage sweaters. That white fox jacket is beautiful.
I’ve been really confused by some GW pricing changes. I found a tag for men’s long sleeve dated 9/22 for $6.49, but last week they were marked $9.99. That is quite a hike. I wish my budget increased like that! I’ve noticed they must be sending more to the bins, shelves and racks overflowing with overpriced stuff.🤷🏻♀️
Watching the Eagles while at the same time watching your video to see what's up in the Goodwill stores in PA - NJ has $1 Day on Sunday - they choose 2 color tags - and everything is $1 with those tags. I have a car full to tend to tomorrow. Yikes! You can't go wrong with $1 but I need room! Please break your rule of 1 cup. I always buy 1 cup!
I live in South Jersey and at the stores near me by Sunday most of the tag colors of the week seem to already for the most part, be pulled by employees. So I never really find much unfortunately.
Your nesting dolls. What is stamped on the bottom? Check maybe worth more than you think. I have one stamped USSR. Since Russia is no longer USSR it is worth more
Just paused the video to let you know (before I forget)that here in the Lehigh Valley anything under $4 is still 50% off on $2 Tuesday. Something that in $2.99 would ring up $1.50. Does that make sense? I thought the same that if it’s the color it would be $2, but nope they still give it at the cheaper price. 🤩
My entire coffee mug cabinet is all singe unique cups. They are all works of art an highly prized. My guests love picking their own unique mug. I do not like sets. I sell many single mugs!
When we needed stores to revitalize a tiny historical downtown we bought 2 stores friends bought 3 of the others. To place booths in ours. Restoration hardware on one side and vintage booths on the other building where everyone pays a fee. 3 of the 30 vendors do the store opens closings abdca few fill ins. swipe system called square. We stock the huge 20 ft window displays on every season. Like hunter country weddings, camo & pink , or vintage brown & cream Halloween. Or 1950s bar carts & aprons, & Pyrex bowls. The town Is 10 minutes from a national park so we get bus tourism now. It's now #2 downtown of vintage in the state. You just have to bring together that nostalgia abdcrebuild a town that's close. Pennsylvania, Ohio Valley, Connecticut, west Virginia & Virginia needs this spark of actual competitiveness. Modern ranch nostalgia, little cafes with cards, buildings with restoration stock, furniture, tablewear in stacks. & stacks. hard goods to sell, next to huge buildings of vintage booths. It brings them in. People need high class production. And quaint picker shops. Please find that group that allows you to go you bring the product & the building and we all invest our time because you are super busy. People find you to sell and buy. Keep the highest standards, accountability, turn half your business into a street store or several sports memorabilia, equipment goes well with gaming, movie posters. Build that community a town is craving your help.
love that christmas decor ... the brush trees ar eawesome, and I have some shiny brite in my collection. and anything for your personal use is great. you have great taste. That shelf...me likey! Would love to see you open a booth or run a mall in your area...

Loved the high profit thrift finds !!!
High profit thrift brands short video is an excellent resource. Thank you.
Nesting Santas are a great find! I have a closet full of Michael Simon sweaters that I'll never wear again. They are gorgeous high-quality sweaters. Belle Pointe is another good label to look for in vintage sweaters. That white fox jacket is beautiful.
Why won't you wear them?
@@stanmiller9117 They are too small 😃😃😃
I always love to see your videos come out! You make my day!!
Love your finds and sales, and the new format! Hugs, Karen!
LeHigh where Jami and Zeb are 😊
That floral shelf would have NEVER been $3.99 here. More like $9.99 or more.
My mother always loved Vanity Fair!
Mine also. We would go the VF outlet in Reading, PA at least 4 times a year.
Russian nesting Santa is everything! I hope you get a good profit cause it was in perfect condition
and love your high profit thrift finds segment...

Ooh I love the high profit items!! I love it all! ❤
I bought my hubby a very simalar L.L. bean jacket for over 80.00. Love watching ❤

Hi Karen, Thanks for the video. Great high profit sales.
My entire coffee mug cabinet is all singe unique cups. They are all works of art an highly prized. My guests love picking their own unique mug. I do not like sets. I sell many single mugs!

“It’s not REAL gold,”. Hahaha!

Another interesting and fun video. I do like the review of your high items sold at the end too.
The amount of hardgoods in your stores is amazing , central Indiana here and we have 1 maybe 2 small isles of hardgoods
Wow that Goodwill is huge! I can’t even imagine shopping there! How fun!
Could you do a video on just linen brands to resell. I use amodex to remove ink.
I like the gold sunburst wall hanging. People are decorating with them
I love Michael Simon sweaters. I have 2 Christmas ones and 4 cat ones. Such quality.
Hairspray removes marker on alot of materials. Alcohol will also. Go back and forth. My favorite is Hairspray toothbrush and Q-tip.
Our Goodwills have nothing in them anymore. Everything is sent to the online stores. So disappointing
Working in a thrift in the desert, I've had scorpions and roaches in the boxes, dead but creepy.
I love single cups. All mine are different. Whatever mood I’m in in the morning I choose!
I'm nearby, I think I'll go and grab that mug! Great video too!
I love your videos 🥰
love that christmas decor ... the brush trees ar eawesome, and I have some shiny brite in my collection. and anything for your personal use is great. you have great taste. That shelf...me likey! Would love to see you open a booth or run a mall in your area...
If the stain is ballpoint ink, try cheap hairspray, if the stain hasn’t set.
Love the handbag selection!
For checking stains maybe you should carry a Tide stick with you while you shop?
I do this!!
Family of 6 and I think we have all of 1 pair of mugs that match and only because all my kids like Nightmare Before Christmas and only having one Jack Skellington mug would never work 😂
Hi Karen ,hope you’ve had a good weekend lv Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
@17:40, maybe "The SAK" brand, that's what the item reminds me of.
You both are so cute! No 1 cups! Love how you talk it through!
I need that Santa! My daughter wants it so badly! I’ll be watching your store like a hawk!
I have a lot of mugs, all different. Would only buy single mugs😊. Love that cat ❤
