When I was young, I was a student at a Christian private school in Germany. In English class, we saw "Blink" for the very first time with our native-speaking teacher. You can't imagine what was going on in the classroom. The teacher was euphoric with excitement, almost the entire class was completely panicked, some started to cry. I was hooked. I've been a Dr. Who fan ever since.
Between this and the clip from a previous Weeping Angels episode a few days ago, I'm starting to suspect this is a primer for the new fans for Moffat bringing the Angels back for the Christmas special...
I love them so so much I couldn't watch them when I was really young that's how scary there are the series 5 ones are the most terrifying ones I'm hoping to have a spin of them like I know there supposed to be in class series 2 I'm still bit upset for that the angels really need more things in my eyes there most amazing and beautiful monsters ever Moffat thank you 👁️👃👁️👍
me and my dad went to see family in wales (im 21 now this is when i was 5 and 11?) and went to thedr who exprience when it was there most terrifying expirence LMAO it was horrid (well done i was just scared LOL) i closed my eyes whole time through that still amazing cocept and everthing tho love them really queen boss b energy x
the thing i never understood is why not hold one eye open forcibly and close yuor other eye switching as needed? this way you can stare longer and even if your one eye dry's out the other one you can open and then close your other eye letting it moisten up again. basically an infite cycle of staring but better survival chance
The Weeping Angels stopped being scary after Blink. Adding the ability for them to speak and showing them moving destroyed everything that was so scary about them in Blink.
They never were scary unless you were a little kid. They were suspenseful, but it's a little hard to maintain that feeling when you've seen all there is to them after one episode. Should've been a one-off villain.
Having the smiling weeping angel in the thumbnail was possibly one of the best design choices they could've made. SO creepy

I always keep an eye on statues when I pass them because of these episodes 😂
We'll get you someday...
🤣🤣🤣
"The Angels Have The Phonebox"
I want that on a t-shirt, too.
These angels may look pure & innocent , but they are dangerous and deadly.
When I saw the thumbnail I just didn't blink and I could face any of the foes in DW but Weeping Angels scare the Hell out of me.
Tell me about it, everything about them just makes my spine go cold.

Moffat also said in the commentary for Boom that he wanted to write for them again (well them and the Silence)
"The Angel is full of forests"
Lol. That is the only thing I can think of now when I hear that line
Its scarier when you realize they ARENT attacking you
3:52, Larry looked into the angels eyes. How did he survive that? One rules is never, look a Weeping Angel in it's eyes.
Technically, that ability did not exist at this point in the show's history. You could say they evolved...
The weeping angels are definitely the SCARIEST doctor who villains/ creatures.
The Weeping angels my favorite monster in all of fiction
Agreed
@Maxippo but then the doctor met Amy pond o how much he loved the ponds but SHE WAS TOUCHED BY THE WEEPING ANGEL
Well Well Well
Tzhis was ment to happen😏🤪
@@TheToymaker0 o god-
Truly iconic. Fantastic.

My favourite Dr Who episode, and I love all dalek episodes.
The most painful 31 min 15 sec for my eyes ever
😮 The weeping Angels were one of my favourite storylines. Watched Dr Who for 50 years. Greetings from coastal Mississippi 👋
In my opinion, they were The Best Dr Who episodes I have seen for years! Despite being, 50 or do when I first saw it, my heart beated more than usual!
My favorite and most frightening DW creatures
Do you trust him?

One of my all time favorites!! Don't Blink!!
Blink is a brilliant episode, love to be scared of those angels.

My favorite enemies
They are beautiful, nice shaped but very dangerous 😢
The weeping angels are probably the most terrifying thing ever! I wonder if they were the inspiration for SCP-173? 🤔
these are some of the most terrfying things, because the only move when you don't look at them. its the definition of fearing the unkown.
This epsode made me not blink to statues anymore 😂
The Doctor doesn't like endings
Bro why is gigle laughing

My gosh I feel cold this movie couse it's happened to me one time
Poor Amelia Pond!
I'm still curious what they wanted with a school.
To study
If an intelligent robot with human like ai watch the angels, will it move?

Is this a aeries?
me on my way to tell my mum to get rid of her cat statue because of this. 😊
I hope RTD doesn’t bring them back. They were used too much by Moffat.
The episode with Amy pond is the best of the weeping angels
They were in three episodes with Amy. Which one were you meaning?
@@DrWhoFanJ oh I'm still on season 5, the first one with her. sorry
@@Freddy_Rizzbear69 She isn’t in Season 5.
@@DrWhoFanJBro, you sure you're a Doctor Who fan because she really is in series 5
@@Nathan_Bowker She is indeed in Series 5. She is not in Season 5.

Said no-one with a brain ever.

I would argue that they are on the same level as the Silence
