Even the way he tells ghost stories in person is terrifying.

This was from an interview: The second time in New Zealand, scouting for The Hobbit. We went to a place called Waitomo, which is really famous for its worm caves. So I looked it up and I knew from my research that there was a haunted hotel with a haunted room. The hotel was empty, because it was off season. So this huge 1800s hotel was completely empty except for the eight people who were in my film scout party. I specifically asked for the haunted hotel room.

I have a ghost story Guillermo. My brother and I saw Pacific Rim in theatres and he died right as the credits rolled. I was upset for awhile but then the ghost of my brother came into my room one night. I asked him "Did you really not like it that much?" and he replied "Nah dawg, it was so fucking hype that it killed me." And we high-fived and I knew everything was right in the world.

he voice eventually stopped but then 5 minutes later I started hearing the most heartbreaking, loud, loud bawling from a male voice. Full of regret and sorrow. It was coming from the same place. hat was when I freaked out. I put on my headphones and watched the entire season of The Wire that I was carrying with me. I opened my mac and put on my headphones because I had to stay in the room, the hotel was empty.Everyone had left for the night, including the manager.I didn't sleep a single second.

I can relate with him. I too had an uncle who was a great influence since I was little, He was 10 years my senior. Also was named after him. My uncle passed away just last year. Though he’s no longer with me, his influence lives on.

They gave me the key, and nothing happened until around - talk about cliche - midnight. Around midnight, I started hearing a woman screaming horribly, like she was being murdered. And once again I didn't panic. I thought one of the guys or girls on the crew was pulling my leg. So I didn't get scared and I started to track the voice. The voice was coming from the ventillation chute that went directly to the basement. That's when I got a little creeped out, but I didn't leave the room.
