Fear of abandonment, putting others first before herself, lack of self-love.... She never recovered from her past trauma especially when her father left her & her mom when she was a kid. Reason why she never stopped drinking. That was her escape.
Yes. There is one live concert recording where she ssys "My dad is going to be here" She kept looking forvhim in the crowd, he never came..she was very insecure. Difficult then to form a relationship with a steady person.
I like watching her interviews. she wasn't afraid to be herself. she was a true artist. she had natural talent. I think she was too sensitive for such a harsh industry. she was intelligent and troubled. she was creative but struggled with her mental health. which are hard things to deal with in the music business. the world is hard on sensitive souls. she had a lot of talent but sadly was overwhelmed by her pain and her addictions. she was one of the best female artists and her death is very sad
So blantantly true. I miss her as if I had lost my own daughter. She used to be a chronic melancholic little girl , secretive. Something very special about Amy Winehouse. I normally can't bare to watch any interviews but she seems genuinely happy here. Such a shame she could not be happy without the drink. I think if she could have turned it around in time and was able to have a child she would have thrived, she was desperate to love and to be loved.

2:34 and 07:04 tell me who on earth (not only celebrities, but also normal people in your surrounding) would admit something like that casually? She was just so real... a lot of people only say it, but she actually really didn't care what others though of her. She's just like "Here I am just the way I am, and I don't give a f*** If you don't like it".
In all honesty, I'm quite like that. But the reason why is because it makes your life simpler when you're honest all the time. Whether it's self-depricating or not, if you're straight up then people can't have anything on you because you're being real. I wasn't always like this mind you, I grew up trying to be popular in school and not being myself in order satisfy other people who in hindsight didn't really care and didn't matter anyway. It's a learned attitude on my part, or rather a reversion back to childhood, but whether it was for Amy I don't know.

Thanks you for editing your extremely unpleasant comment. I still saw it though. And I'm a real living person, so it has an effect when people are nasty like you were.
Amy is so completely candid and unpretentious here - which reflects stunningly in her superb vocals & writing . BTW, Amy did an awesome acoustic version of Back To Black wearing the exact same outfit in (i guess) a music store...looks like that might have been done this same day (w/ 20 min sleep as said)...shows what an absolute phenomenon of a talent she truly was
I've been on an Amy Winehouse RUclips binge since watching a documentary. Ugh I hate it, it makes me cry thinking about what what she went through while she was still alive. But in a sense she still lives on with her legacy in music. I miss you, Amy!
This is a really good interview Tim, brilliant questions. You did really well because she would either be reserved and bored during interviews or the complete opposite in that she would be open and deep like this.
Amy is so real. I love how she simply just is who she is. She doesn’t try to be anything else. I feel like these interviews are so forced and she doesn’t really care. This guy wasn’t rude to her at all like some other interviewers. Of course some of the questions are a little personal and she answered them with grace. But she’s just such a genuine person. And she be taking care of everyone. Her friends calling her mum. It’s cute but it also shows how much she took care of others and no one really taking care of her. She truly was one of the greats of music history. I wish she could have made more music. She definitely deserved better. RIP Amy Winehouse 🎶💐 I hope she got that vintage wallpaper for her house ❤
Amy forever. Her music still dances with my soul so deeply like no one else. She’s a legend for the art she made and how she shifted the music industry and her influence can be seen through generations of music after her. It may be hard to imagine now if you’ve known her music for a long time or weren’t around but her music was so different and called back to a golden era of jazz and fused it with soul, pop, hip hop in a revolutionary way. I think her impact is as big if not even bigger than anyone else in the “27 Club” though all of those artists are legends for a reason. Amy spoke in a way that just cut through the BS and made her immediately lovable without pretense. She didn’t have a filter yet her pure heart just beamed out of her like sunlight. I love her so much and knowing she’s gone makes my heart ache but listening to the music and art she left behind has brought me comfort at so many times of my life over the last decade or more now. When I listen to Amy it feels like I’m with her in a profound sense. It somehow doesn’t get old to me like other music. Her voice hits me right in the chest and even though I’m not a good singer I love trying to sing along and hit all the notes she did while making it seem so effortless though she really was putting her entire heart into it. Amy made a difference.
Amy Winehouse she was a great singer and her song Rehab made my summer in 2007. Yes she is greatly missed Janis Joplin, Stevie nicks and Dido. great all around now we have and enjoy Adele. RIP Amy.
She lives forever in her music. I was a literal toddler when Back in Black came out, but I still remember the first time I heard "Rehab". She seemed so kind and was a beautiful soul. I've been learning my favourite songs of hers on guitar lately. I'm still barely an adult currently but I'mma play them for my children decades from now, so that she can keep on living in them.
When shes asked what makes her feel happy, she freezes then struggles to answer the question honestly. It's very to see that. She was so young and talented.
What a sweet soul. I know everyone has always judged her, but, I can tell there was so much more than what the tabloids would catch when she was dealing with certain issues. Damn. Watching this makes me realize just how quickly life goes. I was 16 when this was recorded. For some of us it's like we're only here for a few minutes.
What makes you happy? “I feel happy when my boyfriends happy” this shouldn’t have been her first response, if only she learned to love herself first, what a beautiful soul.

@@calebosbourne9677 Many people say that they will likely die young, doesn't mean that it happens or that they plan too or that they want too. Additction and illness are sad unfortunate things that you can't account for
"Motivated, easy-going, maternal...alcoholic?"
Loved that!

She will always be eternally young. She wrote about her pain and connected with people. A very candid interview, Frank if you will.
She looks so beautiful here!, and I loved her accent. I still LoveU baby!
Rehab failed because she was a maze of torments and turmoils, love from a bad manipulative boy mattered more than her self ♥....she has always despised her unique soûl...What an outstanding interview with crucial questions...before her massive fame plus addictions
Favourite Amy interview and I've seen hundreds. How can u not love this girl ..#rip
“I’m Amy Winehouse and this Christmas I would like some nice vintage wallpaper for my house” - I resonate with this 👌
I could listen to Amy all day.
What a great real person.
I admire her honesty about wanting to be a “Rollerskating Waitress”. She had a great, honest and endearing personality. Just blunt, honest and relatable. 🙇🏻♀️🔎🎤🎶🔑🌟🇺🇸
Honest and real...who could imagine she was the the QUEEN of this centuary... Long live the DIVA....AMY. she gave the best since JANIS... The 27club... Never be forgotten...Love from Norway....
thank you for being awesome and giving this to us.. thats so refreshing!! Also if you know her interviews-- you'll know that she enjoyed this one... you can tell when she doesn't, LOL!
Lol for real
Really good writing advice she gives, actually...."the more you write, the more you are likely to find something you like".
There's no one sweeter than amy
My front room is a shrine to her.
wish we could bring her back
She's already living her next life.
No one can say what happens when you die.She could be of the other side of life,in paradise,or she can see us in the sky,or born as an animal like a cat.....it sounds maybe funny but what I hear all in my life when you are dead...WOW...but it could be that it comes nothing after your death, that sounds sad:-( sorry for my english;)
+Daniela Schwarz I've always thought about this myself. For me, I imagine that the person's spirit kind of wanders a bit of if he after death. I think my spirit would go somewhere that I'd never travelled to that I would have always liked to go to in life. But, you're right. No one truly knows what happens.
David Boubion We will see or not,if we see something...that is maybe the good thing that we all don´t know what will happen when wie die.I really hope it is a good side lik a paradise. The real world is cruel enough.
Daniela Schwarz There is a reality after death because energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed. Therefore something extraordinary happened to create us (divine first cause) and only the divine can eradicate our life force (energy).
Thanks for posting this. I've been going through old RUclips videos of her recently since all the talk over the movie. I just want to remember her as that funny, honest, and spunky woman she was. This was great.
Till' today I still feel sad that she isn't with us since 2011.. and watching all her interviews, she looks a sweet, cute and kind-hearted woman but she just needed a true friend to care for her and she found love in a wrong person who never deserved her.. I miss hear your voice, Amy.
I was 8 when I did listen Back to Black and Rehab and I fell for her voice immediately. She was so amazing.
Something very special about Amy Winehouse. I normally can't bare to watch any interviews but she seems genuinely happy here. Such a shame she could not be happy without the drink. I think if she could have turned it around in time and was able to have a child she would have thrived, she was desperate to love and to be loved.
Amy, you are beautiful and you'll live on with your amazing music forever and ever!!
7 years after her passing.... Amy will be remembered like Led Zepplin or ACDC ...... What an amazing women we all lost !
Best interview with her I’ve seen. Thank you so much for sharing. I have so much love for her. I wish I could’ve met her and helped her get free from the inner turmoil she had. She was such a special person.
^ jazz we watch a lot the same stuff
Me
@@eviemorgan1360 Hi Pammie. I soooo wish I could be like that! Holy crap it's totally exhausting having to worry almost 24/7 about how people see me or judge me. My work is very physical but not even close to how much my energy is wasted on this.
Anyways... Just needed to get that out! lol
Take care 🌹
She was super genuine and as raw as they come. Sadly she left young.
This is absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for sharing her with us all! She was such a real, down to earth person and I see so much of myself in her from her mannerisms to the way she speaks. I wish she was still here with us. She will never be forgotten and will always live on in my heart. ♡ my girl, Miss Amy Winehouse.
i love her man...she so adorable,such a beautiful soul...
Her man was an asshole
I: What you think your trying to prove?
A: I'm trying to prove that I'm a real musician... Hopefully I'm proving that I'm a real musician
Yes you've proved it and you'll always be a real one
She was a complete musician.
And completely self-destructive
Amy sang with her whole self.
Unforgettable and loved by so many.
Her talent is undeniable as are her vocal skills and her ability to play with her sound.
I wish Amy and Prince could have worked together.
Peace all.
She's was as real as real gets...
Wow... Every answer on how to help her was in this video. If this same conversation would have happened with the right therapist think how different everything could have been for her... Bless her soul...

She was too pure for this evil world. She’s missed.
She is perfect man... such a beautiful soul, so so so so talented! She is drop dead gorgeous, i was really young when i heard of her & her passing away & the only song i knew from her was “Rehab” so my perception of her was sooooo much different then it is now. Idk it’s like the media made it look like she was this train wreck, alcoholic, drug addict! & thats just not the truth she is such a beautiful person dude i love her !!! We lost a legend dude
I had the same experience!! Obsessed with her now ❤️
Yesssssss. I love you for saying that. :)

Same :( even though I wasn't a fan back then because I was younger .. I remember the day I heard on radio at my aunt's salon that they found her dead etc and they played rehab and I just idk I'm sad I didn't know how special she was back then!! This woman is one of a kind and should not be gone :(

she was so funny and honest ♡♡ I like how she talks. could Listen to this Interview for a few houers
“I feel happy when my boyfriend’s happy” 😖😭 this interview is so true but so sad.. all the answers are heartbreaking (sorry for the English) 😞
Such brilliance. Gone way too soon.
I wish I could time travel, to save her. As an unknown aspiring empathetic singer from a no name small town, the music that is real and genuine does not come from here often, and the fact that this rare. Once in a life time gifted soul angel from England, I connected with her music and vocals so much, musicians understand one another and we have to stick together, I wouldve stuck there with her, even if was as a fan talking to her for 20 minutes. Damnit........
She didn't care about being perfect made her perfect. I love her and will never get enough
This is what made her so special. Her brutal honesty about herself and everything.
wallpaper. she wanted wallpaper. brilliant

The most genuine famous person I can actually relate to, non of these fake answers just real ness.
I'll never forget the way i cried when i found out that she had died.. Ive shed a lot of tears for her since then actually, it bothered me for a while. Such a tragic loss of a beautiful, talented, ONE of a kind human being.. RIP Angel
0:45 Every artist needs to realize this. Song writer, painter, whatever. You have to do more to get past the blocks and eventually they break. This is probably why Prince and Tupac have liek 1000 unreleased songs in a vault somewhere.
She’s so cute, creative Amy is so talented. I wish she was still with us. She had her whole life ahead of her.❤😢
She would have had a long career. If she got it together, very talented too.
People in the comments won't be happy..... but I've only just started to listen/watch Amy.... I've listened to her songs over the years.... but I'm addicted to everything Amy and I've never seen someone as honest as she is....
Why won’t we be happy? That was to be expected. It happened to us too.
Definitely Amy, genuine and uncensored.
"I'm a self-destructive person." Such a sweet song bird. You are part of the "27", you are in good company, I hope you have a blast. I guess God is a jealous God because he wanted you for his choir. I know you're filled with the love you were searching for on this nuclear rock.

I wish Amy would’ve never met stupid Blake! Her beautiful soul would still be here 🥺
But then we wouldn’t have had back to black! Wish she never went back to him.
That was another self-destructive habit Amy had. She liked toxic things, including Blake
people like this are attracted to self destruction as bees are attracted to sugar, she let herself die

Ed Wood It’s not her fault she fell in love with the wrong person. You can’t help who you fall in love with
Fabulous Amy - the contrast with just one year later is marked. Even though she was to record her best album in a couple of years, everything was already taking its toll before then.
Thanks you for editing your extremely unpleasant comment. I still saw it though. And I'm a real living person, so it has an effect when people are nasty like you were.
Amy has always been my celebrity crush lol. Makes me sad I’ll never meet her or hear her beautiful voice in person.
Amy is so completely candid and unpretentious here - which reflects stunningly in her superb vocals & writing . BTW, Amy did an awesome acoustic version of Back To Black wearing the exact same outfit in (i guess) a music store...looks like that might have been done this same day (w/ 20 min sleep as said)...shows what an absolute phenomenon of a talent she truly was
this is probably the most pleasant interview i’ve seen with her, lovely to see this side of her
I've been on an Amy Winehouse RUclips binge since watching a documentary. Ugh I hate it, it makes me cry thinking about what what she went through while she was still alive. But in a sense she still lives on with her legacy in music. I miss you, Amy!
So many relatable things in this interview 👌 She was a beautiful talented young woman. It’s a shame she went through so much 💔
"What makes you crazy?" "Perscription drugs"... my heart sank
It's such ashame that some people aren't talented enough to recognise how Huge this woman's talent was.
What a great interview thank you for sharing this raw fun video. I think it is the happiest I ever saw Amy what a beautiful soul.
Good questions that helped her opening her fine childlike and sensitive soul. May God give her peace! Thanks for sharing this treasure.
The real deal. Honest & true. Bold & blunt. Miss you girl.

The big pause following her seeming to get upset after being asked “what makes her happy” 😭
