Very nice car man. Coolest Volvo I've seen. Well modded. Seats are awesome and so are the colors. I recall sitting in them at an auto show back in the day. Watch those delrin bushings. I've noticed they will loosen up and rattle. Love 5 cylinders!
Gorgeous car, my friend. Glad you love it - everybody should have a car that makes the spine tingle when you drive it, or even think about driving it. It's like that with my V60 GT6. Those wheels are fantastic too - the gold totally works.
Had to come back to this video. Watched it in the past but then I still had my '05 2.5t, black sapphire (452) with standard leather interior but matched the colour of the atacama! A few cars here (the Netherlands) were done straight after factory by a dealership I believe. It was a momentum model which is basic and comes standard with grey cloth interior. I now own a '09 2.5t in the magic blue like yours with a cream interior so it has the light creme all around, a darker tan in places and with wood trim. It looks royal! I remembered you have the gold rims and just had to have another look. I own a set of OEM Andromeda wheels (16inch) which I use in the summer, which were for the boxy 960/S90 models back in the late 90's but fit the car nice. When I bought this car it came with OEM Orpheus (17inch) but I decided to put winter tires on them since I do not like the sporty look of so many spokes (taste is personal). I am now thinking of painting them into a satin bronze, so a little darker than yours but bright enough to see that it is not black and dark enough to see it is not that golden/bronze. You are spot on with the colour, it looks amazing at times. I am not much of a tuner or modificator but small things can do a lot. My only thing change to the car will be a film (2 layers) of transparant yellow (our plates are a yukkie yellow in my country and I wanted a more complete look) over the fog lights and replace the standard bulbs in the headlights with new LED or 8k (the standard ones now look a bit faded/orange and take a way the appeal of the front). This car has xenon so I mean the tiny bulbs next to it, in the middle of the unit. I also noticed your flakey strips between the roof and doors. I think it is a factory flaw since all have it and I had mine redone a while ago. I believe Volvo stopped selling them as I couldn't find any online and it is a shame since the incorperated rubber, near the front, is becoming very fragile. I really think they either had clogged up sprayers or the sprayers were at the wrong angle in the factory since I came across many which have this problem.
I have One of the rarest v50’s in the states, this s60r is beautiful, I hope to own one soon but I can’t find any. I have a v50 t5 r design m66 AWD, it’s got a lot of working coming it’s way. I love seeing more Volvo content not many people know about them

I’ve got a 2010 Volvo S40 R design 2.5T 5 cylinder turbo with only 71k miles it’s my first Volvo and I’m very happy with it so far no issues at all just maintenance it’s my daily commuter for work
I had one for a few years. 6 speed manual 2005. With the traction control disabled, on the snow, 🤣🤣. I bought my son a 2004. He kept his. I eventually sold mine. Wish I hadn’t.
Everyone who owns one wishes they hadn't sold theirs 😭 reminds me of a time it snowed 10" I left for work earlier than usual to go to a church parking lot on my way to work and I was drifting and doing doughnuts in this car. When I got to work one of my coworkers said he saw this guy having the time of his life in a church parking lot on his way to work. We had a good laugh when I told him it was me 😂
I can see why you love it so much it truely is a beautiful master piece im wishing i had it right now the color and tailights and the interior color makes it the perfect combo

The interior looks so much better with the black carpet instead of the orange carpet that always gets dirty, sweet car. I have one with the same exterior color and I really like it in person it looks so unique
I agree! I think that's how Volvo should have made them! I feel like it makes the leather pop even more with the black carpet! What color interior do you have? The magic blue exterior is my favorite on the S60R's, it really is such a unique color and I love how throughout the day, depending on how the light hits the car, it changes how the car looks!

Hey man, I saw your car in another video and saw how you were driving up to park city! you have a super sick and unique car and you should really make more content! Cant wait to have an R of my own someday!!
Stock on stock factory the S60R takes the cake due to having more features, slightly better looks, more power, and awd, but when it comes to a better car to mod the 05-09 s60 T5 is better all day. Drivetrain is more solid, has less electronics and weak points, and can handle more power without having to reinforce the block.
100% agree! I love the factory aero kit, colors (interior and exterior), awd, added features and more importantly the rarity and uniqueness of the R cars. I always said if the car ever needed a new engine and I was going to add more power to it, I'd put in a T5 all day every day. But I need to have the magic blue and atacama interior 🤤😍
So as a volvo owner myself you guys should explain what the differences are between the 5 cylinder in your R and the 5 cylinder in the S60 T5? I can look it up I suppose but I would like to hear it from you guys✌ post 05 my 2.4L narrowed bore is that it?? I guess he did specify 05 - 09.....
@@greenhometony I have an entire video on my channel going over why the engine in the 06-09 s60 T5 is the best Volvo 5 cylinder made for tuning and modifying in stock form without having to be built. It’s the most watched video on my channel. But the two engines are 100% identical with the exception of the engine in the R comes with bigger injectors from factory , a bigger bore on the block resulting in thinner cylinder walls, and all R’s have a oil level sensor on the oil pan while only some of the T5s came with one. Other than that they’re identical: cams, exhaust manifold, turbo, head, crank, rods, etc.
Sold my 2005 a year ago. Major annoyances with the car was the rev hang on shifts as well as the hideous turning circle. Aside from these annoyances enjoyed the car but found owner maintenance was very difficult for anything aside from basic stuff. Had clutch slave cylinder fail which took out clutch. Had failure of rechargeable battery in alarm system which took out module, had failure of Haldex pump which took out AWD. The mass air also failed and had to be replaced. Mine was same exterior color by had the Nordcamp interior.
It's definitley a love hate relationship with these cars. The small things that go wrong are definitely the biggest annoyance of these cars. Sorry to hear about your experience with your car! Hopefully one day you'll get a better taste in your mouth with Volvo 😊

I love seeing more Volvo content not many people know about them
Thank you! Thats a beautiful car you have yourself! I agree, Volvos dont get to much love, but everyone seems to love and respect them when you do see one!

Thank you! Your car sounds amazing! Glad to hear there's more people modding up Volvos!
@@christians.cars98 I'm an older car enthusiast, ever since I've owned cars they've always looked modded out tinted Rims and some up some of them lowered! Even had a few raised, keep and bronco at one time!! But, I fell in love with the 2000 S80! Back in 1999! I ended up talking myself out of it and could kick myself now, especially after owning this S60 now!! Man I missed out for a long! But, now I can really enjoy her! Even though she needed a little TLC when I got her! I can definitely say she has been well worth every single penny!! Hope to get her video soon! Just share my journey with her also! I really really appreciate your sharing yours!! It's great to see other's with similar interest in cars, certain cars at that!! Thank you again!
I appreciate you doing the video!

Those are great unknown cars. I have two V70, with almost 400.000km. They are so comfy. The seats are equals to your home leather sofa. You can drive for hours without any fatigue. Engine is so strong, built to last. Audio sound is crazy too. I owned lots of cars in my life, and decided to try this brand: i don't want anything else now ! 🙂
What year are they if you dont mind me asking, ive been looking into them for driving from montreal to florida in the future and i wasnt sure if the seats would be as comfoetable as people claim the seats in the 240/740 is
I never knew they were so dope!! I always liked the way they looked.
I’ve got a 2010 Volvo S40 R design 2.5T 5 cylinder turbo with only 71k miles it’s my first Volvo and I’m very happy with it so far no issues at all just maintenance it’s my daily commuter for work
Mate, I love that. The paint when polished in the sunlight. Awesome !
Thank you! Cheers!
She's a beaut. Your pride and love for the car shows. Enjoy!
Thank you so much! Glad I could bring out that emotion!
New drinking game video. Drink a shot every time he compliments the car😂. Thanks for the revs!!
You'll be drunk by the end 😂
Thank God I stopped drinking!
I have a 2003 S60R in flash green exterior with Atacama interior, 60k miles and its my baby, owned it for 5 years, its cost me alot to keep on the road in that time but its been worth every penny, i dont think I'll ever sell it, volvo for life
Thats a great spec! They're such fun cars!
hopefully picking up a v70r soon, i'm excited. had an old XC70 that made me fall in love with volvo, and now i'll never go back!
You'll absolutely love it! These cars are so amazing!
@@christians.cars98 i'm excited!
Love the option you got, I've got the first S60R (2004). Best car choice I've ever had for a car, never want to get ride of her
Thank you so much! Glad to hear you love yours as well! 😊
Love the interior, exterior color and wheel color and design, the exhaust is top notch for a 5 cyl turbo!
Volvo is amazing :D
Great S60R!
Thank you so much! I love the look of the car as well! 😊
Beautiful love it. Perfect combo and the wheels match up.
Thank you so much! I feel like people either love or hate the wheels, but I think they compliment the car well!

Beatiful car. Love the colour out-& inside. You're right about the seats, the best seats are inside swedish cars. I owned severval saabs, they had great seats too. I had a s60 from 2017 .great car. Now i own a c30 t5 r design. Absolute love it. Fun car.😆
Cool . Dont sell it. Keep it for life
Good luck from Sweden.

RIght on! Post some videos of your car along the journey!
Hey i have just bought Volvo S60 2,4 D5 and i must say its an awesome car but the S60R is my dream
You'll get one one day!
Word 👌
@@T5_T-Rell wrong on Turbo.. the R's have a different turbo, they're 300hp, whereas the T5 = 250hp
I saw a v70r with that same interior color. so dope.
The interior color looks so amazing! 😍
Volvos are Safe Good Choice Dude and Manual Transmissions are truly Amazing.🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘
They are entertaining the Stickshifts.
It's an incredibly fun car!!
@@christians.cars98 I have owned a a 164E, 3 242 GTs, a couple 244s, a half dozen 245s and the S60R and would sure look at a Polestar in the future. With the exception of the Polestar all were wanting in the reliability area but enjoyed them nonetheless.

Congrats! You'll love the car! A few minor things here or there isn't bad, and if you keep up with the maintenance it'll last you a while!
One of the coolest things I did to my S60R is put in LED headlight bulbs for the daytime running lights.
I love that look on these!
I do the same but light not good i dont know why...

Nice car/interior package! I like the rims too! The only thing I hate about P2's is the turning radius. It's absolute garbage. I went back to a P80 (S70 T5) 😄.
Thank you! Thats one thing I absolutely hate as well! 😂 but thats sadly the only option if you want the AWD 😂
@@christians.cars98 Agreed, that's a small price to pay for the P2R package. '98 V70R has AWD though, admittedly that's an expensive endeavor these days and you gotta go to the wagon. The shifter is clean and nice volvo is the only that done that
Yeah they are, I love the look of it!
Hi! I think you need to change the shifter bushings as you can clearly see its all cracked and old where the shifter linkage goes. I think there is a guy on ebay that sells like solid bushings made out of alloy of something.
Yes for sure! 😂 it chipped apart a few weeks before the video and wasn't able to get a new one before I filmed this! But great eye! 😂👍
Beautiful cars, I would replace the shifter assembly with a boot and better shift knob.
now i want one

What shift knob is that? Love the look. Did you have to thread the shifter? Thank you
It's just a weighted one I found on amazon! Yes you'll have to thread the shifter, but it's definitely worth it!
what's the head and leg room like? I'm 6'8 and looking for potentially something like this
I'm 6'1 and never had a problem with head room, or leg room. With you being 6'8 I feel like you would either have head or leg space issues. But maybe not! Before you buy make sure to sit in a similar car and see if you can get comfortable! There will be basically no leg room for a rear seat passenger behind you.
