I have an 04 in manual, I will let you know these cars are a blast to drive but... you need to have some knowledge of working on basic things, if not you're going to shell out anlot of money at the shops. Oh yea, they're money pits.
They really can handle well...I feel they are too soft standard for real fast cornering but there are some really good fully adjustable coilovers out there. I have the estate version with BCRACING coilovers and polyurethane bushes and it's so much better now in my opinion. Can now corner twice as fast 😁. And it honestly still feels like a volvo...its still smooth but now has no body roll. A decent remap really wakes up the engine Loads more torque and responsiveness. The manual gearbox is a really good box and can take a fair bit more power. Suspension and map was £2500. To get the suspension set up properly is a must but not expensive. These cars have a lot of potential to be a real drivers car.
Just bought a manual 06 S60R, it’s sonic blue and has the Atacama interior. These cars are an absolute blast to drive, oh and my father has a manual v70r which I learnt to drive in

it's such a beauty, personally i am looking to buy a 04 V70R with a 6 speed manual trans witch is the exact same car but a vagon that's 40kg 90ish pounds heavier but the interior and suspension in these cars, going from soft comfy volvo in one moment to racer the next. it sure is a step up from the boy racer subie and the likes of it.

No sport mode does not change throttle response or boost. Just changing from comfort to advanced mode is when it actually sends a signal to the ECU. Sport to Comfort is just suspension differences.
On the stock s60 you are correct Godspeed, but with the Hilton Tune Each Chassie setting is a saved tuned map. so turning it from comfort to sport actually switches maps changing throttle response and turning the Boost up depending on the map saved to that button. The tune usually comes with 4 maps The advance button usually has 2 maps saved on it, By pressing the Advanced button multi pull times it cycles through 2 different tunes on that mode.
I got a 2006 s60 t5 m66. It got totaled. But engine and trany are A1. I want to swap it into another car but I dont want a s60r or something heavy like that. Do you have any idea what would be best?

@@BrandonBrownOctaneOverdrive its better if you jump on any noise or vibration quickly unless you know for sure that you can drive with that problem. and another thing often forgotten is that these cars can run without anything for a really long time but to keep it perfect and clean you have to keep on top of repairs.
Factory bumper but those are the wingettes that are part of the optional body kit. You'll see a lot of people took theirs off because they scrap on steep driveways and such
That is the real E trunk spoiler on the trunk. There are two types. One is s deck lid spoiler, and looks like a lip spoiler. The others spoiler is the one you see. Both are factory and optional.

Man stay away from subaru. Bad news. Those motors pop and it happens fast and out of nowhere. How the myth the subaru are good reliable cars persist is beyond me.
Since when have these cars been known to run lean? I have only ever heard the opposite, probably to the attune that it gets terrible gas mileage for just a 2.5L turbo. Not sure where you got that info from.
Hey guys I got my volvo 9 yrs ago with 65k miles. The best mpg was a trip from CA to WA and got 30mpg - and i dont ever drive slow. My R now has 210k miles and i still get 27 mpg in the freeway. Still drive it to Mexicali every 3 months with a big smile on my face 😀
Javier Urenda If you're reading the mpg off of the message display on the bottom left of the instrument cluster for this data you're completely wrong. That thing is usually about only 75% accurate. Do a calculation of how many miles you got after a fill up and surprise yourself.
I saw this on craigslist, was gonna buy it! Settled on a white focus ST instead. What wheels does it have on it? Looks great, glad it went to someone who cares about it!
I know exactly who used to own this from the sweedspeed forums lol. Thanks for letting me know what rims are on them, ive heard of the FC04 just never seen them in motion really, only pics online. You had a great angle of them and now I want them. Are the 18s or 19s though. Appreciate your time
If you can find a manual one of these... A tune up and some decent coilovers and you have a serious tool.
The handling is amazing.
