I enjoy your tips, no crap, straight to the point.
Thanks for the info! I'm new to turbo set-ups and this quite possibly will be saving myself and many folks some parts money ! guess I'll tell the ol lady I'll be in the garage after work again xD
Very good explanation, thanks.
You just made my day
Appreciate the knowledge
Like the pointers. Helpful. My jetta is smoking, oil return line leaking and I seem to have a build up of slugde in some of the pcv hoses. No coolant lost, but dripping oil. This for the video. Some of the problems may not here, but at least I don't feel to lost. I have a base to work with. Some were to start look for and maybe a working solution that may help me out some. Thanks a bunch.
Cheers.
Yep, sounds like a PCV system issue. The sludge is restricting the PCV causing Oil to build up in the turbo
Finally, I have a car this applies to
Any clue how much a drain or feed repair costs?
@@nicku9912 depends on the car, some are easy to get to, others are not
for the catch can, do you just run both valve cover fittings straight to the can? you don't use the fresh air port on intake tube or the port on the intake manifold to create a vacuum? TIA
this video saved my life
I have a Acura Integra that I installed a turbo their is no good vertical drain for the oil. What scavenge pump would you guys recommend. And how easy is it to install?
blown turbo seal? maked ur blowby smokes too?
If the oil has nlow through the seals once for a short period of time is the turbo junk or will it be ok after the issue is fixed @realstreetperftv
Do you have a video how to install a catch can that conect to turbo.?
Do you have a scavenge pump that you would recommend ?
So I got new CTS stage 2+ after market turbos for my 2015 M4, it drives well on my stage 2 93 octane tune that was meant for my OEM turbos that were blown ( smokes when stopped at red lights) It drives nice, great spool sound, but twice so far in the last 2 months 1500 miles about, smoke would pour out for like 15 seconds after driving it HARD. but then itll stop and no more smoke at all. So some oil passed through the seal? This happens?
When it showed the bad oil return set up and played the womp womp wwwwwwwwomp sound I lol'd because mines looks like that 😓
So i replaced my engine on my legacy gt and it took about 1.5 yrs and now it smokes out the back alot on startup could it be the turbo or something else?
I dont understand the catch can concept.. please elaborate if you would
hi could you please help me. Ihave smoke coming out of the tubor at the dpf side and smoke coming out where the oil goes in and at the dip stick the rngine running very rough when rev up but sounds nornal when just let run and lot of smoke coming from tail pipe any ideas what it might be my car is vw golf mk6 tdi 1.6 thanks
.
Do you have video link on catch can installation.?
thank you, i have a hx35 thats pissin oil out the exhaust side only, i managed to get it off and got a rebuild kit, but its bolts are so rusty and has never been opened up it looks, thing doesnt want to budge, ive been sprayin it down with pb blaster
ChronicConnoisseur have you tried using heat to expand the area around the bolt, or heat can help brake the rust. ( Torch set, or small blue battle)
only a person with experience should perform this.
after days of soaking 3 of the bolts spun, 1 snapped and we drilled it out, got the header off the turbo and now trying to take the hot-side off, its not budging lol. i have all the "clock" bolts off and i cant spin either intake or exhaust housing
any further news on what happened with this ?
I have a TB28 making clouds for a few minutes on start up, haven't tried taking it apart yet
I have a cx7 and oil was getting into the turbo and losing oil. I have found out that I put a beather on the valve cover and the car is not losing oil and it is running better, I got the breather from advance auto.
Whats a beather??????

Catch can fix my Smokey turbo.
Mishimoto to be exact!
hi i do have a 2006 mazdaspeed6 smokey turbo i wonder catch can really help?
why is it that 2.0 ecotec engines mostly have smoking problems.
I didn't know its not a true seal and gravity siphoned, this explains why my rx8 looked like I stuffed Wiz Khalifa in the trunk. Big ups
I dont know if anyone would see this, but have a K20z3 with a precision 58/62 on it, upon start up during idling it shot oil out of the turbo exhaust pipe and im not sure what would of caused the excess pressure having a catch can + the feed and drain located correctly :(
Did you figure it out? Same thing here
beautiful friend I have 2007 Mitsubishi I . 660 turbo . car gives big blow in morning for a lot time .. is it turbo where I know rpm over 4000 turns on turbo
Aliking Arif your turbo should kick (spool) as from 1400rpm
i would love to know that name of the song that is at the beginning, have had it in my head for the last 3 days
replay the video, hold your phone to speaker and ask your phone the same question you asked this youtube thread... lol

My exhaust and breather emmits oil vapour with no pressure or some signs of burning oil, how do i know if its my turbo seal failing or the piston ring without taking everything apart? 😫
That’s what I need to know
Can a bad seal foul out all the spark plugs with oil?
If it's on the intake side of the turbo , sure . My smoke is coming out my exhaust... intake pathway is clean as a whistle
How much does a drain or feed fix typically cost
It really depends on how bad it is. Sometimes it can be fixed for free simply by loosening some bolts, clocking the center cartridge, and then retightening the bolts. Or it might require all new hose routing and new fittings. Or in some extreme cases it may require moving the turbo, which would mean a different manifold and pipes
I have a 335i, i have white ish looking smoke coming from both pipes. But this only happens if the engine is hot and the car has been driven. If i start the car, the smoke burns for 5 min or so and then stops... wondering what it could be. If it was turbo, itd be from one pipe only. Ivr changed the rocker cover. Does it mean valve stem leak ?
broken ring lands
@@frontspring1 piston rings?
I wish I could send you my car
But. No info about the diagnosing? Wtf :P
Every part he says is a diagnosis
@@TSCtheTHC One big run-on sentence.

exactly
do you see the alliens in his eyes?
Completely wrong on the seals... Those can wear, and even wear at the housing where they snap into. Just because there isn't play, doesn't mean one of the seals is bad.
I wanted to know how to diagnose turbo broblems, not learn how to install one.
Wtf
Waste my time...did not learn how to diagnose the smoke issue
Every parts he talks about is diagnosis dude.
American don't have a clue about the cars.
