    Happy Freelance Friday!
    Hi! I’m Carrieblogger, a full-time career freelancer on Fiverr Pro. Since I started in 2013, I’ve built up a sustainable, consistent business with a six-figure annual ‘salary’. I work as a copywriter and branding consultant for small to medium-sized brands around the world.
    Home design and office design are super fun hobbies of mine, if that's the right word... which I know it's not. I like dreaming about a gorgeous office space and super aesthetic home trends that would look stunning in my space. But I'm not actually crafty or handy or capable with power tools. I can pretty much handle a paint brush, I think? So I decided to hire a designer on Fiverr (3, actually) to design my home office and help me create feng shei in my work at home office. As a freelance writer, I know how to do freelance work from home (duh), but I don't always know how to create a comfortable work environment that piques my creativity and helps me get into a flow. Digital marketing, content marketing, and copywriting require focus. A dedicated home office space can help you (well, me) work faster and more efficiently to make money online (and hopefully more of it). My home office tour is chock full of home office design ideas, so that you can get the perfect home office setup. Home office ideas seem a lot easier in your head, and a work from home office setup is tricky to get right. My home office desk setup is from Ikea, and I absolutely love this Ikea desk hack! These small home office design ideas are brought to life by Ikea, obviously, and I can't recommend this creative home office setup enough.
    Learn how to make money online and work from home as a freelance copywriter like me! Whether you're building a freelance copywriting business or selling another skill online, freelance platforms like Fiverr are changing the future of work. Now you can monetize your talent and learn how to work from home. Freelance copywriting on Fiverr is my absolute dream job - hands down. Every Freelance Friday, I share freelancing tips, freelance advice, advice for freelancers, Fiverr tips, Fiverr advice, advice for Fiverr sellers, Fiverr business tips, and a look inside my freelance lifestyle as a solopreneur business copywriter. It's a blast!

    This is an educational video for not only those who want to have a makeover but also for those working as renovators/consultants. You are unbiased and honest which is why your points were valid. Measurements, feasibility, darkness etc were truly not good. I would have thought the same. You and your husband made your office so positive and nice! When we feel happy while working, our work improves! This is a great long term investment. Thank you Carrie, for such an enjoyable, useful video and also for the epic office tour!

    Glad to see that it all worked out in the end. Being at peace with where we spend such a significant part of our time is vital. The result seems to have come out both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Hope you enjoy it daily for a long time to come!

    Your office looks light-breezy and bright, comfy and cozy but functional. I love how the office table and the sofa are placed side by side so that you're always facing the window. This is another educational video that I enjoyed watching. Thanks for this.

      Thanks! Yeah, that was hard to articulate until I situated it this way, but that’s really what I guess I meant by ‘lots of light.’ I just needed to FACE the light.

    The “really how hard could this be” with pizza in hand at the beginning really spoke to me lol. And i felt the same when I bought my office chair! But at the end of the day, you’re sitting in it So many hours of the week it’s 1000% worth it to get the high quality one.

      Yeah, I’m definitely a minimalist and not sentimental about stuff. I have a habit of chucking things ‘I’ll never use again…’ like a photo board I made for graduation with virtually all of my baby pictures on it 😭 oops

      A further thought to this point. It's interesting to me. My wife had a business looking after homes of rather well-to-do people. What interested me is that every single one of those homes were, to use your wording, "minimalist" in nature. Not one thing out of place. Tidy and neat, everything just so. Offices looking as if they had just been set up and not yet worked in. Doctors, an NHL player, an Olympic gold medalist, very successful business people.There must be something to it.

    I love the project you have going on I just wish we didn’t publicly critique them by name. Mainly just because it might kill some of their spirits if they see this and will probably keep potential clients from going for them. I just wish we didn’t publicize who they were but your project looks fun. I LOVE that you gave it a shot on your own to though

    • @carrieblogger
      @carrieblogger  2 года назад +2

      I think any press is good press in this case tbh. I didn’t leave a review on their profile where people are actively looking to hire them. If someone stumbles across this video looking for design ideas, sees that seller’s name (who they’ve never looked for before or knows anything about), and thinks ‘wow Carrie’s totally wrong, that mock-up is gorgeous,’ then they’ll go check the seller out. Their work will speak for itself. It wasn’t what I wanted, but maybe it can help someone else.
      That’s my rationale anyway. 🫠

    I love the softbox ceiling light idea! That's perfect to help with lighting! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get those? And the office looks comfy, cute, and organized! I also love how you got your couch in there too :)

    • @carrieblogger

      Amazon! And the mounts were quite cheap. Really easy to install and set up. Honestly, I often turn on those lights just to bounce around a little more faux daylight, even when I’m not filming.

    You are indeed a bad client, but what's worse is that you gave negative publicity to those freelancers. I don't understand why you would do that, when clearly it was your fault, and not theirs. You have a well deserved dislike from me, for this video.

    No definitly not the worst client, having things that appeal making it feel homely and inviting as it is you having to look at it everytime when entering the room and using it frequently. Though I had an idea that you would atleast double the budget was no surprise. Your whole setup cost less than my desk and that was without the chair. Still need to get a couple of items to finish my workspace.
    It looks calming and that is what you want, somewhere to feel relaxed when not filming. Supurb job will done.

    Quick question. Do you ever leave buyers a below-five star review for ones that turn out to be a bit crazy/mean? Is there any harm in giving someone a 4/5 to gently warn future sellers?
    I just got Fiverr Pro about a month ago, btw! 🥰🥰🥰

    • @carrieblogger
      @carrieblogger  2 года назад +1

      If they’re on the verge of crazy and I’m unsure, I’ll usually still rate them 5 just because I might be overreacting. If they are crazy mean and there’s no question, I drop straight to the 1 star they deserve. But maybe I should change my scale… it’s all or nothing right now.

    • @carrieblogger
      @carrieblogger  2 года назад
