    Happy Freelance Friday!
Hi! I’m Carrieblogger, a full-time career freelancer on Fiverr Pro. Since I started in 2013, I’ve built up a sustainable, consistent business with a six-figure annual ‘salary’. I work as a copywriter and branding consultant for small to medium-sized brands around the world.
As a stay at home mom (SAHM, if you will), I've had to readjust and change pretty much everything about my life... well, almost everything. My work as a freelance copywriter on Fiverr and with mid-sized e-commerce brands is still pretty much the same. I'm so lucky to be able to work from home and make money online as a freelancer. Doing what I love and making money online with full control over my hours and availability? It's priceless. If you're considering looking up a beginner copywriting course or trying to figure out how to sell on Fiverr with no skills, you're in luck - kind of. I won't pedal garbage or promise instant growth without hard work and a bit of luck, but I will give you an honest, transparent look into the reality of freelance work. It's hard to find jobs for moms... 1099 workers, gig workers, freelancers, and self-employed doers unite! This a day in my life, come to work with me and enjoy the productive vlog!
Learn how to make money online and work from home as a freelance copywriter like me! Whether you're building a freelance copywriting business or selling another skill online, freelance platforms like Fiverr are changing the future of work. Now you can monetize your talent and learn how to work from home. Freelance copywriting on Fiverr is my absolute dream job - hands down. Every Freelance Friday, I share freelancing tips, freelance advice, advice for freelancers, Fiverr tips, Fiverr advice, advice for Fiverr sellers, Fiverr business tips, and a look inside my freelance lifestyle as a solopreneur business copywriter. It's a blast!

Honestly I love both the copywriting and stay-at-home-mom content! I want to have my first baby within the next 5 years or so, and I'm currently transitioning to freelancing full-time from home. So seeing how you balance your work life and personal life in the day-to-day is extremely helpful and insightful for me!

I've been watching your videos for at least a year and a half at this point, and I don't think one particular style of your "day in the life" videos has been better than the others. This one, though, was rather interesting in that it really gave a sense of the time passing through the day before the copywriting work kicked off in earnest. It also shows what a healthy work-life balance can be with plenty of parenting / housework being addressed, a couple solid hours of focused work, and then full-on family time in the evening. It's the kind of life that most folks - at least here in the U.S. - strive to have.
Over the long term, it's also been really enjoyable to see how your work schedule ebbs and flows through the major life changes (new home, new baby, etc.) Some RUclips creators produce content that feels very scripted, and actively works to hide any challenges or stressors. There's an authenticity to your videos that's definitely appreciated, and I think you'd have a hard time turning away any long-time viewers of your videos. Keep up the awesome work, Carrie!

That’s a great video! Light, fun and it’s good to see the human side of the person too. In my opinion (random person on the internet lol) you should definitely keep it up. Your way of life is definitely an inspiration to us that wants to walk the unconventional path. The no working during mom duty is a great concept and hiding the face of your baby is so well thought of. I will be interested to learn more about the business slowing down, what do you mean by that and you should definitely get Apple to sponsor your videos!

To answer your "who are these videos for?" question: I'm not a parent, but I love these videos because I see them as an example of what life could look like someday. (I don't mean that in a corny way.) Most people in my life have/had traditional 9-5 jobs, so seeing someone live their life and work outside of that schedule shows me that I don't have to schedule my own freelance days "corporately," and I may never have to while freelancing.
I personally don't like to work until 1pm (so I can either sleep until lunch or have a morning to myself), but I tend to feel like I'm "wasting" my day by not starting work at 9am. Your videos are always timely reminders that there's no reason to feel guilty about starting work when I want to!

  • @NathanSMadsen

Great video - and I can so related on many levels.
First off - sooner than it feels, your kiddo will be in school and your daytime will suddenly be alone. When my youngest was a baby, I was the primary caregiver. Your video takes me back to those days where I would give him bottles and then he'd nap in my lap while I watched Netflix. (And in variably, he'd fall asleep and I'd have to pee so I'd hold it for an hour....)
I dig the every hour check in b/c it provides a quick snapshot of the evolution of your day. How many times do we plan a day only to have those plans be dashed by reality? Often! It's helpful to see how you pivot and prioritize. I especially LOVE your approach about wanting to be joyful when your son wakes up instead of annoyed.
I was pretty lucky in that we had a very tiny daycare that a fellow mom ran, so I would have my son in that three days a week. This gave me windows of "me" time as well as work time. Then on Tuesdays and Fridays, I'd have him all day - so I would focus on him and cleaning the house.
    Great video!

Hi Carrie, it's very interesting that you talk about Fiverr business stalling. The same thing happened to me in September, I had six orders in total and two weeks were I didn't have a single order. Then, Fiverr messaged me and asked me to join Seller Plus, which I reluctantly did. And guess what I'm on schedule to have my best month in Fiverr ever. Mmmm seems a bit strange, don't you think. But I must say I have found Seller Plus features to be very helpful. Have you joined the program?

Can you please make a video about your thoughts on how actually to be a good writer ? I am willing to put in the work but in the online world there is so much misinformation and misguidance, I would really appreciate if you could share some wisdom on how to write well. I wanna start on Fivver and offer copywriting services but would like to actually build a good skill first. Hope this reaches you.
