PLZ you are automatically saving $1,000-2,000 a month PLUS a happier child that doesn’t feel abandoned at daycare all day... priceless You are a Chief You are a driver You are a baby nurturer You are a fulltime wife You are a housekeeper Being a Mother - is enough contribution - if you give it your all. Children and Husbands are hardwork already but its awesome that you make the time to bring in additional income to save inc.
First video of yours I've seen and I'm already so proud/impressed by you. You went out there and did the dang thing! Way to go on working to help support your family in diverse ways.
Thanks for sharing, Erin. This was really educational and I appreciate the openness with timing and actual dollar amounts. It is a great way to set expectations. I am a first time mama to be (due Nov) and just launched my RUclips channel. I wanted to create something for myself while I’m on maternity leave and beyond. I have really enjoyed watching your channel and love the content you share!
When they say “stay at home mom” they mean a mom who still has someone to watch their babies while they are working by their laptops, creating videos etc. so this video was not really helpful cause I am a stay at home mom whose baby is still too small for playing unsupervised and have nobody to watch while I go use br.
My income streams were mainly built up during nap times and after my daughter went to sleep. Once my daughter turned one, I did feel more comfortable having her grandparents take her for a morning here and there so that I could get more solid chunks of work done. Now that I just had my second baby, “work” has pretty much come to a stand-still. It’s all been about figuring out how to make it work so that we DONT have to pay for childcare. But you’re right. You can’t get any at-home work done when you are actively being mama.
"I can relate to her. We manage content creation during nap times. We have our own way of managing things. You don't know a lot goes on behind the scenes."
That’s seriously not true. On my other channel, I wake up before my baby to film videos and edit them during her midday naps. It’s a lot of work to keep up with cleaning, content making, cooking, and raising your child. And it’s all from home
Thank you for your videos! Wanted to ask are you able to pick what ads play before your videos? I want to start a kids channel but I am so worried about bad ads popping up on children.
I’ve always heard about things like this but what about your social security later? I respect though the creativity but it does sound like the amount of hours still of a full-time job almost. Only because most people with a full-time job don’t even really work full-time. But thanks for the tips!!
You definitely have to consider things like heath care coverage and saving for retirement if you want to make your online income support you like a full-time job. And then of course there are taxes that you have to set aside for as well. There is definitely so much more that goes into it that I didn’t cover in this video. And of course my household situation is going to be different from another’s. For example, our daughter and I are lucky to be able to be on my husbands health insurance. I also created an LLC that all of my income goes through and I work with a CPA to make sure taxes are done properly. I also put money aside for retirement. I’d love to make more videos regarding self-employment and online income if people are interested.
I also DO work on these different projects A LOT. Whenever Babygirl is napping or after she goes down to bed, I’m working. But honestly, these online income ventures really fill my cup. I love building something from scratch and being able to be creative.
Thanks for sharing ❤️ How do you go about the legalities of opening an online shop? Did you hire someone to help with getting a license/ registering and what not.
You helped me get hired on vipkid and now we both have babies. but I made wayyyyyy less than $200k a year. I never was able to get more than a few referrals. It worked out in the end though. I can’t believe I used to wake up at 4am everyday to hustle
