From the screens on your 9xr, its already running eR9x. It's definitely not the easiest to program, but the huge number of options make it worth learning. Richard Mrazek has a good series of RUclips videos on programming the eR9x software.
You are right. I tried to start off with an opentx radio (taranis) and accidentally broke it through messing up the programming. I am definitely going for the beginner Orx now just to fly my cheapy models.
Hey hi Lucas.. Great review. I am on a look out for a new radio. My budget is $70. I am impressed by T-six. however, I am really confused about it... cause I have read at sme forums that the T-six has some issues in operation. If you please post your updates regarding how is it going with this radio so far... it would certainly help me decide. Thanx. Happy landings.
Excellent. Thanks Lucas. Was really up in the air about the dx6i and the orangerx. Mind made up. Beginner... Just built 3 scratch builds (ea). Now time to destroy stuff. Thanks again.
being able to change modules in the turnigy seems like no brainer. are there modules for most protocols? what modules are available? and how reliable is the turnigy compared to taranis? i just can't pull the trigger on the much more expensive taranis. thanks a million.
I don't think you are correct in calling it a clone of the dx6i, I would say inspired by but clone it is not I would say the took the dx6i and improved it.
2 big downsides to the Orange T Six: 1) No model match feature like the DX6i. 2) The model names only appear on the home screen. When you have a lot of models programmed, you have to remember what model is where as they are only listed as "Model 1", Model 2", etc. on the selection screen.
liked, subscribed & also to your make hanger channel - all thanks to Ed of Experimental Airlines. Look forward to looking through your videos - discovery! Thought I knew all the good rc channels on youtube already.
One of the best reviews I've watched, well done.
As s newbie I really appreciate this review and it helped me decide to purchase the Orange T-Six as my first radio.
Subscribed.

This video was very informative but I would have liked to see a range comparison. Especially since I've heard that can be an issue with DSM2 radios.

thanks mate more convinced now than ever, orange a good starter
I used the mounting holes on the back of the 9XR with Turnigy H.A.L. optional short legs. Turnigy Talon v2 legs would also work.
I liked your reviews allot, any new reviews coming? thank's
Thanks!!! Great Video!!! I have a 9xr on the way to replace my broken Dx6i's Aileron Pot
Thanks Lucas im a newbie! And you have made my mind up the orange rx is for me!
I had a 9XR for a minute, if you open up the radio you can loosen the gimbles and it wont stick at the top
Great review, just 1 quick question, do you think that Orange will be able to accommodate Naza's altitude hold and RTH? im new to quads :(
The Naza has many flight functions that need more switches that the Orange T6 doesn't have. It would work but I recommend the 9XR.
+Lucas Weakley from where did we get t-six???
try hobbyking or aliexpress
what is the range of your orange t-six transmitter....??
do you get all the telemetry data through the frysky module like you would using the tarranis? thanks.
Could you replace the gimbals with higher quality ones from another radio?
is orange T-SIX works on 450 size helicopter?

Have you pull the trigger on one of those radio?
again, great review!
excellent review, thx!
you should try out the new frsky taranis
do you know where i can buy a t-6? hobby king website has been on back order for months......
What us the range?is it as good as a spectrum dx7?
What does that trainer port call, and where to buy, really can't find it
Well the 9XR comes with a modified version of eR9x
I have 300$ i need to buy a plane PNP , battery charger , and a transmitter and receiver , what you recommend , it will be my first plane ?
would i need an orange rx receiver if i have an orange rx module?
The orange tx module will work with any spectrum receivers and orange dsm receivers.
thanks

yep Subscribed
agreed.
And, he saw the mistake AND typed it into the video, as well. Guess you didn't see it.
LOL Thats why hobbyking sells gimballs for it then :D
I would just by the Turnigy 9X it's better than the 9XR and the Orange T-Six.
Do you think turnigy 9x is good!
