    If you've encountered the Audi SOS error, what was the fix? I just encountered the Audi SOS error on my 2020 Audi A4 and am not thrilled. I pressed the volume button on the steering wheel for many seconds but that did not resolve the issue. I also held the "SOS" button for about a minute but that did not resolve the issue either. The Audi SOS error comes and goes. Unfortunately, it makes an annoying alarm sound whenever it reappears. Also, when I call people via my car's bluetooth, I can hear the person that I'm speaking with but they cannot hear me. Also, the Audi App no longer functions. I'm unable to view vehicle status, vehicle location or unlock the doors via the app. This is very frustrating and I purchased the base model Audi intentionally to avoid all of the electronic gadgets that could break. #Audi #SOS

    Thank you so much for figuring this out and posting this. This has been a real headache, and my local Audi dealer has offered no help. I've been waiting for 6 months for the new SOS controller, and there's still no ETA for the part. At least with your workaround, I don't have to listen to my car shriek every few minutes. It's such a distraction, and I don't see how that's considered acceptable by Audi. Anyone that knows how to reach the folks at Audi that have influence to really give them a piece of my mind, please do share. I will likely not buy an Audi again after this experience.

      Thank you and to add to my story, I found out that allegedly they had installed obsolete tech and when cellular networks upgraded, it bricked the installed Audi tech. I got out of this Audi when used car prices went ballistic and picked up a 2021 VW Jetta. I plan to drive that supply chain and car prices normalize. Although I like Audi design and performance, it’ll be tough for me to buy another Audi after this experience. I’m considering a BMW without run-flat tires or a Lexus next. In the interim, this Jetta has been reliable and gets good gas mileage. It’s nothing exciting to look at or drive though LOL

    Most likely fix is to replace the telematics module battery. It keeps the module alive when the car is not on. This also allows you to communicate with the car from your phone and SOS. Remember the purpose of the SOS is to be there, even if the main battery is dead. Don't know the location on your car. Could be in the trunk, center console, or as part of the shark antenna

    My only guess now is that it’s either software related, or it could be related to the seats, I really don’t know. If I were you I would take it to the Audi dealer at this point and see what they say. Edit: I totally get the inconvenience of taking the car in. I know that when I take my BMW in, they have loaner cars there, so I never have to wait. I assume other luxury dealerships, like Audi, offer the same thing. Or mention it to them during your next oil change, unless you do that yourself

The quality of that vehicle is exceptional but I wish that it had a little more horsepower. Best of luck! VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) has lost me as a customer unfortunately. Wondering if you've yet to achieve any success in resolving this? Have a 2020 S4 myself, I'm not getting the SOS error code on the dash, but the SOS button itself is not working, and I am also getting every single one of the connection issues you referenced being that the car cannot be reached online, my bluetooth function is completely turned off and I cant turn it back on, not able to find the cars wifi signal or anything. When I turn on the navigation, it thinks the car is 1000 miles away from its actual location. Vehicle is just totally 'offline'. Had it in the dealership for regular 20k service, asked them to look into it. They said they plugged it into the computer and no error codes came up. Pretty aggravating.

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  2 года назад

      It’s very frustrating. I removed the fuse, so I don’t get the SOS message and loud ding. However, my bluetooth won’t pair and if I use Apple CarPlay (cables connection) I can hear the caller but the caller cannot hear me. I also get the “no network” type message on the MMI display every few minutes or so. Have you tried your My Audi App to unlock doors, check fuel, etc.? Mine no longer works. I haven’t taken it to the dealer yet because of the inconvenience but when I do I will post a follow-up video. Best up luck and please feel free to share any updates that you have!
