*Disclaimer: We have now sold this car due to the ongoing issues with our original and replacement car along with the horrendous customer service.* We strongly advise you view the final a3 video first before deciding to order - it could save you a lot of grief:
There is no fix despite how long Audi will string you along, after 12 months our patience ran out.

My customer service from Audi Manchester was terrible. I got spoken to like an idiot after my clutch went (juddering)on my 2021 A3 30 TFSI AT 14K. Told it was the driving style. Absolutely NOT... If you have a look its a common fault across all the vehicles that use that engine on a manual box! But the women i dealt with was just so argumentative like she was a mechanic! If you ever use Audi Manchester you will know who i mean! Big thanks to the fella who greats u and offers you the world inc a coffee.....👍

Oh my god thank you for this, this has been an ongoing issue in my ‘71 plate Polo since I got it, when it happens it’s usually on a motorway and kicks me out of the infotainment system at the same time, then won’t log me in again, rendering the entire system redundant… not only kicking me out of Car Play for sat nav, but all settings, radio etc… pretty dangerous suddenly having no idea where to go on a busy motorway! What I see, is that the problems continue to be always present, the reactivity of Audi is very backward compared to what they claim to be a premium brand. The same problems on the golf 8 and new Seat are still not treated, although these cars are already out there several months, updates but the problems are still there. That's why I cancelled my Audi 8Y and continue to drive my A3 8V. Thank you to this channel, which shows the real problems without complacency. Disappointed by Audi. Thankfully there are forums that bring up these problems that are well hidden by the sales people.

Your driving scared me, but i have a Q5 rental, and there are so many scary beeps that are more likely to cause an accident than it does to prevent one. For example, backing up, it beeps to tell you there is a curb in front of you. Scares the you know what out of me thinking I'm about to hit something from behind. Also, when changing lanes on the freeway, the warning lights start flashing if there is a car 2 lanes over, so I am always second guessing myself, after I see an open lane, and start to change lanes, it starts flashing and there is no car there, just that there is one 2 lanes over. That is a huge safety problem because then I freak out and don't change lanes, or take too long and then there may not be an opening in the lane next to me by the time I double check my double checking. Crazy

Thanks for the video. I got my 2021 Audi 2 weeks ago and get this SOS Warning everytime I start the engine. I tried your solution but after pressing the SOS button, the car instantly calls the emergency service and after canceling the call the message keeps on the screen. I got a call from Audi Service Turkey recently, they said there is an update for the SOS issue. But the problem is, to cancel the warning, Audi disconnects the wireless charger and the wireless Apple Car Play. I don't want these option to get cancelled because I paid for these extras. Hopefully there will be another update on the MMI without canceling wireless features.
And its a pitty that the non of the cars sent to Turkey has Ambient Lightins Plus. Is there a way to have that package with using MMI like the original? Some car electronics in Turkey manage to install LED's to doors and dashboard but you have to control the lights on remote control.

After some research on the internet, I found an Audi release a technical service bulletin (pdf file) that gives the info (removing some fuses and turn on the ancillary power (do not start the engine) to pull power from the back up battery and repeat 4-8 times).

Last month my A3 has been in for an inspection, I explained them I was having this MMI issue and they took it very seriously. Once they were able to replicate the warning alert message, they immediately communicated me that they were able to solve it. They went to update the MMI, which took almost a whole day, and after that the car was ready to go.In 4 weeks now the issue has not presented itself, the MMI seems to works perfectly and I am also able to login as my own user and no longer as a guest as i used to (becuase of iphone app incompatibility issues). The MMI and the Iphone app now talks to each other in a much better way and there are some useful new options and a slightly updated CarPlay GUI. Tried this on my 20 plate A3 SLine today. Hasnt worked, call connected within 10 sexonds, cancel call button gone after approx 15 seconds. It had the update last year. This fault has onky occured in last 3 months. To fox the issue audi have recommended a new control box costing almost £900. I've got an A3 rental through work and this happens on every commute which then throws out the Bluetooth. I can hear them but all the other person can hear is a whistling noise. I've got my own A3 been due for delivery in November but I can see it having the same issue! 😠

If it's a rental, the chances are it's not had the software update applied. Apparently for the a3 the update makes this a lot less frequent so your car should arrive with it pre-installed.

@@CRD90 Have done so. Main Audi dealers say they need my car for a day to investigate as it can be two or three things. Could be an antenna/connection, a control module or software. All plausible, I suppose. We'll see.
Still seems rather like a systematic fault rather than a one-off...and one that IS well known to Audi.
Suggest you put a note on your (many) version of this vid that your 'fix' covers only a limited number of cases.
