Agreed, it works exactly how its supposed to, and now we can use Zoomit with OBS to give any kind of walkthroughs. Pro-tip: If you add pointer focus and toggle it off when you do the live transition and toggle it back on in zoomed in mode, you will have a cool animated mouse with halo as well !
this is great but is there a way to transition without being in the STUDIO MODE? I like having 1 preview window only. Thanks so much! really need to figure this out :(
I would actually just like to *_USE_* ZoomIt in the first place. I have it running, but how can you lasso, point, other features while recording OBS? 2:00 Ah I see, display versus Window or even Game. I see, thank you...
I've also tried using (what used to be called ) Nvidia Shadowplay with desktop recording enabled instead of OBS but that didn't record Live Zoom properly either - the screen freezes in the recording for as long as Live Zoom is active 😐 I tried your method but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work for me, as if I accidentally toggle the Transition out of sequence and it appears to be working in reverse. However, if I start OBS in display capture mode (it doesn't need to use your specific scenes/transitions), minimise it and then use Nvidia Shadowplay, I can successfully record my screen with it instead of OBS and I can Live Zoom with no double cursors! You have to have a mid-range or higher Nvidia card to be able to record your screen - but it works for me! I'm just waiting for an Nvida, Windows or OBS software update to break it 😂 You can broadcast from the Nvida software too but I'm not into that side of things so I haven't tested it.
Hello, I have just saw your dual boot win xp/10 article on your website. But your contact link is broken. Could you send me your email or pm me? Cuz when I dual boot my win 10 ignores win xp located on c: and automatically selects it as a drive with system. Basically all temporary files are going to c: and it messes the system directory of xp. That makes win xp to bsod.
5:08 if you closely observe he moves the cursor to the left, because he has OBS open on the extended screen (secondary monitor) on the RIGHT side, and his main display area (primary monitor) is on the LEFT side.
this is most amazing tips for OBS, thanks you made my day
Perfect solution/hack! Thank you so much for a clear walk through and sharing this tip.

ZoomIT now has record function (not recording audio unfortunately)
Is there a way to have ZoomIt show up without DisplayCapture?
Unfortunately not.
