You are correct about the Reggae. McCartney had just written the James Bond Theme, Live and let die, which also had reggae in it. This live album was Wings 5th back to back number 1 album in the U.S.. I believe McCartney made them rehearse the harmonies over and over and over again before this tour. They all start and finish together making this a totally polished performance. No amateur hour here, it's the real deal. McCartney had a wider range than Freddie and could sing songs Freddie couldn't sing. Probably the best rock vocalist we have seen. Watch him do Call Me Back Again live from the same concert. It's an astonishing vocal performance. Freddie was brilliant at using what he had and Queen wrote songs with lots of space to accommodate it. McCartney however could sing anything. Watch his live version of Long Tall Sally back in the day, unbelievable.
"Jet" was 1973 "Venus & Mars / Rock Show" 1975 They strung the three songs together on this 1976 tour, and exists that way on the live album "Wings Over America"
Ah, as sixteen year old fan I bought the live album, three vinyls inside!, the first time I listened to it almost religious experience putting the sapphire needle on the vinyl. One of the best live albums I know, with Kansas Two for the Show.
What a flood of memories coming back. It brings back a time and place. Thanks for your choice Chris!! Your perspective and enthusiasm is always entertaining Hap!! This was so fun! 🎸🎹🎤🥁🎵💕
Excuse me sir. Did you call us above average age followers a relic? 😛 I was lucky enough to see Sir Paul as an older solo act but it would have been nice to see Wings. (not quite old enough for seeing the Beatles) Total blast/past for sure! Good one Chris!
Wow, that was a jam. I enjoyed that🤩. I've never heard this song and didn't know anything about Wings. Thanks for this “relic” Chris 😅 and while this may have been lip synced, I bet such a performance will be hard to find these days. Great reaction HAP, thank you 🤩🙋🏻♀️.
Aside from the exhaustion, The Beatles stopped touring because they couldn't hear each other over the crowd noise. And contemporaneous technology had no way to midigate it. Just ten years later the developmental contrast still amazes me.🧓🎭🎸💖
Incredible talent. Imagine being in the biggest band of the 60s and starting another band which becomes one of the biggest in the 70s

The best live performance ever!
yes its live, great tight band. Yes Jet has a Reggae riff with a rock riff over it.
Rock on!
No way lip syncing! That's Paul the ultimate entertainer!

The album was three LPs, i discovered it at age 13 and to this day still a top favorite.
Never has Paul lip sang to date!
Too good to be live? Phhw. Standard McCartney level.
This must be my favorite live concert! Please check out "Band on the run" from the same show. 😄
Lip synced? Nope, I don’t think so.

😁
In Rock Show, Paul sang "It looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Page. It's like a relic from a different age."

Thanks for listening
No lip syncing (or autotune) at this concert and very little overdubbing later just a little on the background vocals mainly.
@@lyna4873 Awesome 🤩🙋🏻♀️
“Wings Over America” is way better than the studio album “Venus & Mars”…
