I know you said that the Dhal mixture can be frozen but can the cooked Dhal puris be frozen?
Did you mean 2 tablespoons of baking powder or 2 teaspoons

Apparently it does not affect the texture. It seems to work for her. The end product looks awesome to me.
Sugar in dhal puri is a definite NO NO.
