Shamin thank you very much for this Recipe. I followed it and made Alloo Pies for breakfast this morning and it was the best I have ever attempted. I however added a pinch of yeast. I think this added to the softness of the dough. This is the best Recipe. Love it 💕👍🏽
Thank you hun

Excellent!!
Made this today and it came out soft and tasty.
However I did notice that the dough didnt rise that much ...but it was still very soft. Overall the recipe is easy to follow. Shared it with my neighbor and he came back for seconds ....lol.
Then it was over good
I know that this is an earlier comment but the dough didn’t rise because there is no yeast in this recipe.

Looks delicious but I cannot eat fried foods. Can this be cooked in an air fryer? Btw, love your videos.
I have never tried it but will be trying it tho
Hello try baking it in an oven.
What's your technique for sealing the edges... they open up when I fry them 😒🙄
Do not use oil
Hey sis, what are Pimento peppers like? Are they hot or how & what to use it in? Also is 4 cups of flour = 2 pounds of flour? We have 1 cup which is 8 ounces. Unless its a different cup.
🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾❤❤
It's a pepper for flavor not hot
1 pound is generally 2 cups.
@@seygra20 Thank you 😊🙏
If you sift your flour and then spoon it into 4 cups that equals 1 lb. It is best to buy a scale if you are going to do a lot of baking. There is a difference between unsifted flour and sifted flour. Liquid measuring cups are different from dry measuring cups. I don't know where live, but that is how we measure with the standard size for our dry measuring cups in Canada and U.S.
Is the lard cold or room temperature
Room temperature
Hi do you live in Queens
enjoying.how.to.make.lt.
Can you use this receipe to make fried cheese pie
No luv the dough is mixed differently
What is crisco/cookeen/land?
Shortening
Where can I get crisco in Trinidad
I don't live Trinidad. You can use the cookeen. That's what I used before migrating
Hi, suggestion to reduce the volume of the music (I find it overpowers your voice). I also wish you showed how you fried it: testing the oil, putting it in, turning it, if you have any tips and tricks etc. Whenever I watch a cooking video, I also like to see the final product (cutting or biting into the pie so we can see the inside). I think I'll try this recipe. I really like how yours look.
Ok thank u for the suggestion
I have a pepper roti pie coming up. I will be sure to add that part to it. You can probably look at that to see how I do it
@@shamindiskitchen okay. Saw your post in the True Trini group. Subscribed :)
The cookeen made the pies very heavy …. Didn’t like it at all !
Ok feel free to omit it next time.
Could have been the way you kneaded the dough. This recipe is perfect.
