TENET - Main Theme (Piano Version)
Piano Version by Patrik Pietschmann
As you know, 2020 was not a good year for the cinema world. This also meant that there were hardly any new soundtracks. So I couldn't wait to hear the new TENET soundtrack by Ludwig Göransson. For me personally Ludwig Göransson is a very special film music composer. I am fascinated how he manages to create a unique sound for each film, similar to Hans Zimmer. I was all the more pleased that there is also a recognizable musical theme in TENET that can be heard throughout the film. My arrangement is based on the tracks "Foils", "Windmills", "Inversion", "The Protagonist" and "Posterity". Apart from that I can only say: "Don't try to understand it. Feel it."
Any suggestions for future arrangements? Please leave them in the comments. - Видеоклипы

The inversion is just so cool. Christopher Nolan would be proud.
@@noahsemets4031 pretty sure he's talking about how some notes are reversed like in tenet, with the particles travelling in reverse and the sound in reverse.
like at 1:44
@@ducky4303 oh that’s cool
@@ducky4303 Can u plz tell me how he did it at the end where he played both backwards and forward ?
@@deepeshmalhotra3896 assuming you're talking about how he edited it?
if so, he recorded himself playing the song backwards with only the right hand.
then he recorded himself playing the song normally with only the left hand
then he masked the footage of the right hand and the left hand pianos so that he could put them together seamlessly
then he reversed the footage of himself playing the right hand backwards, so that it sounds normal but has the reversed effect.
sorry if i'm bad at explaining and this is only an assumption of how he did it
@@ducky4303 Came to the same conclusion. I like your presentation of the facts.
I'd tell a reversed joke, but you already got it.

Truly wonderful. I watched it in IMAX a few weeks ago and it was one of the best films I've seen in a long time. Christopher Nolan always picks the greatest :)

Is nobody going to talk about how small he starts the inversion with just one note being caught at 0:42? It's a great parrallel of how inversion starts off with such small things in the movie.
Woah didn't notice that. epic
Absolutely beautiful!
What exactly is an inversion in this context? I can barely play the flute.
@@watcher8582 In this context, inversion refers to part of the note's sound, 0:42, the entire notes sound, 1:44, or both the notes sound and the visuals, the end of the piece, being played in reverse. This results in notes sounding weird and starting quiter and climbing to a loud cut-off.
Basically, inversion is reversing the entropy of anything; in this case, Patrik is employing a pseudo-inversion because he cannot actually reverse entropy of his recordings.
Almost didn't catch that one! Great attention to detail foreshadowing later inversions in the video :D

I've been stuck for hours just watching all of your videos, over and over.. can't believe how talented you are. I'd pay a million to be your student. Hi Patrik, deine Videos sind der Grund warum ich vor ein paar Wochen mit dem Klavier spielen angefangen habe. Einfach super schön gespielte Stücke.
Every Christopher Nolan movie has a good score. Even in his early days when he worked with David Julyan.
This movie's main score is incredible. But the whole sound mixing is subpar. There were parts where i couldt hear a single thing anyone said bcuz it was muffled by the over the top background bass

An absolute beauty of an arrangement. The inverted parts reach all the way to the depths of your soul. Pure magic. And as always Mr. Nolan created a masterpiece.
People who disliked took the whole reverse thing a bit too seriously
Einstein: Time is relative
Nolan: Time is my relative
Patrik: Piano is my relative.
At this point I think Patrik is a time traveller who is in a multi-dimensional universe and knows everything.
I'm not actually sure anymore how many times I have watched this now. Truly truly appreciate the fact that you have shared this for everyone to enjoy and be completely absorbed by it's beauty. Göransson's music style is definitely very different from Hanz Zimmer. It makes a strange feeling in me...I've never heard such a style before and its beautiful and kinf od scary at the same time. It fits very well to TENET movie because it encompasses the complexity of the movie and yet packs some kind of constant sobriety..I don't know why I chose these words to describe his music, but that's how I feel it...It sounds to me like things never change, but they do changer inevitably and it describes our moral responsibility to not alter the present and the future for future generations. The message of the movie might be "Don't mess with the future and with time"...
I think this might be my favourite video on this channel
