I worked on Tron Legacy as a designer years ago, and I love playing/listening to piano. Thank you for the beautiful arrangement, the perfect combination of two things I dearly love. (Edit one year later): wow. What the hell happened? Came back a year later to listen to this piece and noticed the likes. To this day, and after so many years and many projects, Tron is still my favorite. So happy to see that this project was a joy for many other people, not just the ones who worked on it. Helps making sense of our job, which at times can feel superficial. And thanks a lot to the musicians, who help us keep the emotions and memories fresh even many years later.
As a fan of TRON, I can say that I really appreciate meeting you here. It is one of my all-time favorite movies, an emotional tribute to a geek classic and the Internet. In an age of Internet censorship, Article 13, and the downfall of Net Neutrality, Kevin Flynn's vision of the "freedom of information" seems farther away than ever. But if we keep up the good fight, we may just yet realize the dream of the perfect system, however far or close it may be. I wish Disney saw the potential in the franchise instead of pulling the plug on TRON 3, but alas, they have become far too shallow in their endeavors, opting instead for remakes that don't work visually and ruining franchises left, right, and center. Perhaps it was better, then, that Disney pulled the plug, so that we can continue the story in our hearts and instead of being given a subpar sequel that would have tarnished the memory of TRON and TRON Legacy. But I digress. Thank you for being part of one of my favorite movies, and I wish the best for your future endeavors.

Yo, Tron was my favourite movie for a long time regardless of it not doing well at the box office, it was mainly my favourite because of the incredible soundtrack daft punk had created. There were plans of making tron 2, I’m just hoping they go along with these plans instead of Aladdin remakes ft. Will Smith and frozen 2 and other sh!t “cash grab” movies (which they won’t) but I hope ppl will still remember the soundtrack, and thanks to you.. I think people will.

I'd love to see a little walk through on how you do these effects. I think the lighting and aftereffects are a great way to really grab the soul. That feeling you get when you play and listen.
I've always wanted to bring that to others and you do a really good job at it.
This is my childhood. Thanks for doing this. It sounds amazing! Keep it up!
I love the soundtrack and couldn't think it would have an interpretation like this. Bravo.
Damn Patrik, i'm in love with your videos you've no idea how, very nice playing again ! those arpeggios make it more impressive in my opinion :)
By the way, i would love to see you play one of your compositions from you album "feelings & melodies" that would be awesome :)
MrTardoss just one? I’d love to see them all. Chaotic rhythms would be best tho
@MrTardoss Thank you very much for your kind words! It is in planning. ;-)
@@PatrikPietschmann I guess many of us wish to hear your arrangements as well outside, where we do not have wlan.
Please make it possible for us to hear it on Spotify etc...
Ich denke ich spreche für viele, wenn ich sage, dass wir und wünschen, die Arrangements auch auf Spotify hören zu können. Bitte, mach es, wenn es möglich ist, uns möglich, deine Stücke auch unterwegs zu hören.
My favourite pieces of yours is Wave of the Wonders and Behind Horizons :)
As always you did a great job once more
Underrated af movie, it's such a cool mesmerising movie.
One of the best soundtracks in my 50 years on this planet. Absolutely genius. I saw the original in 1982 and legacy was awesome. A feast for the eyes and ears! One of my favorite action scenes For my home theater . Tron forever!
The Tron Legacy soundtrack and movie are both criminally underrated
I loved Tron: Legacy as a kid. It was such a fascinating movie to me. I still love the movie. What really reeled me in was the soundtrack. It was so captivating and unique. I could listen to it for hours on end and it will never get old for me. It still fascinates me to this day
Who else love Tron?
xXFantazzyXx me 😊
Just think if a game launches, and it’s named Tron. The feels.
@@nishit7147 look at what you've done now. I'm hyped for a game that doesn't exist.
It was my childhood
I think the real question is why anyone would hate from.
Phenomenal arrangement (and performance!) of the main themes of the film. Beautiful.
Man, I love this, you have such skills to translate the music to piano !
You ar inspiring me since I discovered your channel ^^
Thank you! :-)
@@PatrikPietschmann you're welcome ! You are so talented 😉
Daft Punk did a masterful job with that entire score. It's so hugely underappreciated.
I love how this literally overlays more songs of the OST and they fit so good mashed together
YES!! OMG YES I HAVE BEEN REQUESTING THIS SONGG FOREVER!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU PATRIK!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH
I already watched this movie like 30 times and I never get tired of watching it.
The scene that I like the most in the movie is in the ending, when Quorra sees the Sun for the first time. I think that Olivia Wilde nailed the look of awe and marvel while they were on the road...that scene moves me every time...
Just extraordinary ❤️
Gonna buy the sheet soon, amazing arrangement. I've just seen Tron for the 5th time, still enjoyed it, and now really excited to play this masterpiece 😍
Dir zuzugucken und zuzuhören hat etwas hypnotisches... ich krieg dann immer einen Tunnelblick
Wow, first time that I see a video like this, just loved it, I gave me a smile that grew and grew. AWESOME
I've been waiting so long for someone to make the piano cover of this theme, thank you so much, i'll suscribe
CLU "Am I still to create the perfect system?"
Flynn "Yeah!?"
TRON, Flynn... Run!
TRON: Flynn, go.
i used to be sooooo obsessed with tron that i stayed up 3 days without any sleep and made an orchestral track...
aaahh the good old days...
Best version available. A masterpiece, right up there with your Man of Steel.
Amazing talent. You know all this, keep it up.
You have earned a subscription due to this. I absolutely love this more than you will ever know. I look forward to watching and listening to your content. This is one of my all time favorite movies. Thank you for this and please continue to create these.

The switch at 2:42 , Just wow!
Another comment after seeing it again after 5years! A wonderful tune, always loved the music of that film. And I love the visual representation of the music and it's completely in these vids. Beautiful
1:48 my favorite part, hands down
A very underrated movie =(
It's unfortunate because it was sooooo good.
facts
Agreed
Noob master Tron Legacy is technically the second movie.
Noob master yes
Really impressive, and the note visualisation really shows how complicated that is to play. Really cool!
That is easily one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen and heard. Thank you for that. Your very talented and I wish you the best.
Tron was one of the most underrated concepts in the world. There were so many directions they could take movie series or even shows on with the concept of Tron alone. Makes me happy with the Tron content we have, but sad that we probably will not see more.
Very true the music made it just so much better to!
Tron Legacy was a beautiful looking movie with beautiful sounding music
Music - top notch
cinematography - omg
Man, the nostalga is amazing. Thanks so much for this cover. Even almost ten years later,
loved the music n the light/smoke effect ... it really gives perspective to how much work the fingers are doing
Wow. Just wow.
Everything about this video, everything, is just absolutely beautiful. It is powerful on a very visceral level. You don't watch or listen to this video. You experience it.
Thank you so much for this video, for your skill at piano and video editing, and of course, thank you Daft Punk for the music.
I love Tron
Dam brings back some memories, and nice effects there 👍
Can you do the theme for sherlock?
Either the theme from Sherlock or "Discombobulate" by Hans Zimmer from the Sherlock Holmes movies
5 years later I’m still struck by the beauty of this piece every time I listen to it. ❤
Just eminent, what a beutifull arrangement and played flawless. Well done Patrik Pietschmann
. Tears of joy are still rolling down my chin :)
(Welcome from georgia) biggest fan of this album good job ... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Magnificent arrangement my dude.
Mastery achieved.
I've replayed this at least 40 times over the last few days. No regrets.
Amazing how the whole movie was summarised in this video by each of the songs played. An extremely talented pianist as well in my eyes, did these songs justice🔥🔥🔥🔥
