Hello, I am a Korean living in Korea. Ginkgo trees are spread in Korea, so they are common in Korea, but it was amazing that they are very rare in the world.
Hi there! I'm so happy to find a Korean under this video because I was wondering if there is any information in your sources about its use in traditional medicine😅
I’ve been taking ginkgo for many years. It helps with my memory. I can tell a big difference when I run out and haven’t taken my ginkgo. You have to stop taking it for two weeks before any procedure, it will cause increased bleeding.
I love how his videos are always short, simple, informative, and to the point! Thank you for all the information you have shared over the years. Can you do a video on how to detox from birth control? or something on balancing hormones?

@Good Earth I am 💯 not joking. It was actually the first herb I experimented with, along with Euphrasia aka Eyebright, which also lives up to the name and produced unbelievable results. (Although it did make me irritable at times..?) ....I just had to tell my doctor about the Gingko, and he said its actually being studied for Dementia and does have proven neurological benefits! But its important to follow a healthy diet to experience the benefits of herbs. No garbage like vegetable oil or sugar.😉
For all those wondering: Best ist to take a non-alcoholic(!) extract - quite expensive, though. A doctor told me this about 25 years ago, it helped me a lot with my tinnitus. 👋
Thank you for focussing on the "small stuff" with "large benefits." I never knew that the positive effects of GB go hand in hand with a healthy diet 👍. I wasted so much GB in the past and gave it up thinking it didn't work for me. Now I'll give it another try since I've been on Keto for 9 months.
As soon as your video starts it is open with a chart. With all the information on it. I freaking love that. Thank you for your videos and making it easy to understand what you’re talking about.
i test my BP, Ketones, and Blood Sugar every single morning at 06;00. It really tells the tell of the tape on what you can and can't consume. This got my BP down from 190/95 to 125/70 in less than a month! I lost 10 pounds in the process. Now I feel strong. .
It helps with concentration, too. After I got sick circa 2010 and suffered severe memory loss up until about 3 years ago, I found that even when my memory started returning, I could not function in my research-heavy client work without Gingko Biloba daily. This year, I can skip one day every few days, but not more than twice in a week
The street around my office here in Tokyo look the prettiest in autumn when the leaves of all the ginko biloba trees surrounding the streets are turning golden yellow.
I have discovered by chance that taking ginkgo can help with sinus pain. I don’t take ginkgo supplement regularly, however whenever I have severe facial pain from sinusitis, I take max dose of ginkgo and within a few hours the pain is gone. Must not be a coincidence
Its an H3 blocker. One of the only safe ones out there! Antihistamines block H1, some acid reflux meds do H2. H3 and H4 blockers are banned because of the huge side effect profiles. Ginkgo is the only one I have heard of that is safe. H1 through H4 all rease histamine in different parts of the bodies. H3 and H4 are more in the brain. H2 in the stomach. H1 all over. Histamine is the molecule responsible for allergies.
Dr. Berg can you also make a video about the side effects of this also the interaction with this substance to other substances like other medicines or other herbs?
Amazing Ginko Biloba, Green tea extract, Ginseng, Grape seed extract...This is a master combination with Omega 3.. I am a daily fan...Any word on this Dr. Eric.
Ginkgo really helps my tinnitus! When I first began taking Ginkgo, it lowered my tinnitus by 80%. I am unsure how it does this but I suspect it has to do with circulation and histamine. It is also an H3 receptor antagonist. Ginkgo also helps with other symptoms I've experienced due to tinnitus such as insomnia and or wakefulness at night. I take it almost every night and if i'm ever having trouble falling asleep, it puts me to sleep within a half an hour. An iron supplement I was previously taking worked better than the Ginkgo. Without either supplement, my tinnitus would be screaming. By itself, the iron supplement would reduce my tinnitus by 90%. It contained co-factors with zinc, copper, folate, vitamin C, B12, and B6. Now, I take these vitamins in separate supplements - high quality form. They helped with so much more than just my tinnitus, it's insane. I'm wondering if you think the affect tinnitus and the iron supplement had on my tinnitus was due to circulation? I had an iron deficiency and likely low levels of zinc. Now I can barely hear my tinnitus. I managed to lower it almost completely - this was done through more than just supplements though, I have to write in here. Diet changes (anti-inflammatory diet, AIP), steam room and sauna, exercise, healing the gut. I put my Autoimmune disease in remission and also got on thyroid hormone. All of those things help with tinnitus. When I tinnitus is higher than usual, my nightly Ginkgo still helps. I just need to know why. Lol
How long did it take for ginkgo to start working? I just started today. My tinnitus is unbearable only when I wake up and that’s if I get any sleep. It’s a 10 on the loudness but a 2 during the day. I’m thinking because of my bad posture.

Excellent video Dr Berg! Thank you. You have done some of the most informative and easy to understand videos. I have suffered from many of those issues you talk about, anxiety, vision loss, etc. Your insight is greatly appreciated!
We had Ginko trees along the avenue at the end of the street where I lived as a kid. I remember the odd shaped leaves. And I supplemented with Ginko back in the 1990s, but I guess I took too much, as I started getting sharp stabbing pains in both hips when I went out on bicycle training riders (I was an amateur bicycle racer for over 25 years). The pains immediately disappeared as soon as I stopped taking Ginko, and I have not taken it since.
Would have been a great video had Dr. Berg gave us in what forms we can take Ginko Biloba. Dr. Berg tends to just fall a little short on his videos; however, don't get me wrong, for I have learned so much and do appreciate anything truth to have a healthy body. Love 4Truth!

People who suffer with cold hands and feet will be delighted at how glowingly warm these will become after a few days if consuming ginko. Buy the small seedlings and grow your own trees. They tolerate a wide climate range. Only 1 leaf eaten daily is sufficient.

Ginko was not good for me. It can mess up estrogen levels and I ended up with a period for three weeks straight, plus some brain fog. This was not the worst side effects, but it clearly wasn't for me.
I'm so glad you post so often but I'm concern you don't have time to enjoy not even the weekend 🙄🙂 Btw, we used to take Ginkgo at college to help us improve memory and mental strength

Wait a Minute! 240MG of dried Ginkgo leaf is not going to be anything like a significant intake of Nitrites. That is approximately (which is just a guess because I have no idea of the water content) somewhere in the range of 1/250th of a 4 oz baby leaf mixed green salad - which is what I had for dinner dinner. (240 mg is really the safe max you should take to avoid you know - bleeding out and getting disinvited to sit in my mother's living room.)

When I take it after a few days I becime really chatty and can rember so many facts!!! If I stop taking it I get quieter and quieter then I start taking it again and I'm all chatty 😊
Wow, that's interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for speaking clearly with clear pronunciation. Good accent for non-native speakers as well
So glad the pronunciation was clear to you, thanks for watching!
How do you never run out of interesting and helpful topics?
The body is very complex, still lots to learn!
Improved my overall blood flow, also, improved vision!!
Thank
You
Dr Berg
Fantastic!
I use 40 mg and it is good for my brain and circulation. Sometimes I combine it with 100 mg caffeine.
how much dosage do you use sir?
I use Ginkgo biloba for DV leg ulcer treatment with A, B, C, E, and ZINC.
It was good before.
Decades later it comes back again as I got a foot injury. Now I'm much older against the odd.
Forgotten about the supplement that I've used.
After watching your show I went back to retry the same remedies.
I am cutting back sugar consumption and carbs.
Currently taking all the above remedies hopefully can get heal again. 🙏
ginko help me, i got stoke in 2016 cause of blood thickening or hypercoagulation, i consume ginko for 1 month straight, rest for 2 week and continue consuming it, and repeat
The one thing about Dr. Berg that gets me a bit frustrated is that he very rarely mentions dosage, which is usually the main reason I'm watching the particular video
Not rarely...but sometimes, because it's all informative, not advices!! And this is 4 yr ago, you are on time lol
I buy it in Powder Form comes with a little Scoop for 1 serving of 350 mg so you can put it in drinks etc. i just use it
to make my own Capsules.
Can you please do one on ashwagandha
Yes ,I hope he does!

Excellent video Dr Berg! Thank you. You have done some of the most informative and easy to understand videos. I have suffered from many of those issues you talk about, anxiety, vision loss, etc. Your insight is greatly appreciated!
Very glad to be of help.
gotu kola have the same effect right?
We had Ginko trees along the avenue at the end of the street where I lived as a kid. I remember the odd shaped leaves. And I supplemented with Ginko back in the 1990s, but I guess I took too much, as I started getting sharp stabbing pains in both hips when I went out on bicycle training riders (I was an amateur bicycle racer for over 25 years). The pains immediately disappeared as soon as I stopped taking Ginko, and I have not taken it since.
So for how long should anyone take it?
Have been recommended Ginkgo to prevent chilblains. I am starting to take them now before the cold weather comes and will see if it helps.
Would have been a great video had Dr. Berg gave us in what forms we can take Ginko Biloba. Dr. Berg tends to just fall a little short on his videos; however, don't get me wrong, for I have learned so much and do appreciate anything truth to have a healthy body.
Love 4Truth!
Best is a non-alcoholic extract - quite expensive, though. 😉
@@pekibuzz I am running out of money to eat right! Might have to resort back to Ramon Noodles and Doritos. ha ha! Love 4Truth!
@@abomination2theLord I can recommend to eat eggs and look for special offers for vegetables and cheeze at aldi/trader joe's. At the moment I have to live of almost nothing and doing a half-voluntary one-meal-a-day keto, lol ... 😉
We call Ginko Biloba trees Maidenhair trees here in UK, they do this really weird thing where they drop all their leaves at once. I remember taking it in capsules form years ago for headaches. Thanks for sharing this important information with us all, & take care of yourself to. ❤🙂🐶
Ty Dr Berg! Was wondering if I still needed after doing keto x 1 year. You've answered my question. Have had concentration and memory issues for years. I'm 56.
Glad to help!

Liked the video even before watching.. I've been using ginkgo for years on and off for severe vertigo attacks. No other meds prescribed are working.. seriously..
Thanks Dr Berg, I hope u may look at it again sometime..
How many mgs of ginkgo do you take?
@@shawna8134 24mg egb761 3x a day but Im stopping it if I don't feel any symptoms anymore. There are side effects but compare to vertigo no..
Does it have any other drug that is taken with, or it is safe to be used alone?
Doc i found him here in Gingelom Belgium, a female tree, you can buy him now in all of Europe ( expensive, but when you see the price of 1 leaf on Ali) guess good tea in combination with lemon balm.
Thanks have a nice day
I love it when he said.. "if your diet is crappy, its not gonna work" haha
AN Encyclopedic Person!the best ever in the world!
We deeply appreciate your positive feedback!
People who suffer with cold hands and feet will be delighted at how glowingly warm these will become after a few days if consuming ginko. Buy the small seedlings and grow your own trees. They tolerate a wide climate range. Only 1 leaf eaten daily is sufficient.
I can personally attest to this.
Thank you so much . I saw many GB trees in my neighborhood and waiting for someone to write about consuming fresh leaves.I have a question.I am worried about being forgetful and having trouble in remembering things. Can you suggest how many leaves should I eat daily.
Ginko was not good for me. It can mess up estrogen levels and I ended up with a period for three weeks straight, plus some brain fog. This was not the worst side effects, but it clearly wasn't for me.
Hawthorn berry from solaray might be better
It's true it's blood thinner
I'm so glad you post so often but I'm concern you don't have time to enjoy not even the weekend 🙄🙂 Btw, we used to take Ginkgo at college to help us improve memory and mental strength
@@davelawson2564 Yes. I don't know if it was the placebo effect but Ginkgo is great plant 🌿 👍
@@gabrielacluciuniuc3451 did it improve memory?
Please tell us about ginko pills, are they reliable? It's obviously better to drink it as a tea but is the pharmacy a scam or really beneficial? Thank you.
Dr. Berg, what's the right amount of ginkgo to take and how to be sure that you're not getting too much? What are some of the side effects of too much? ThankYou!
Hi there. We suggest that you follow the recommended dosage on the label of the supplement you will get.

Dr Berg . I bought a high quality vitamin d3 10,000 iu last week and have been taking it in the morning for the past 5 days . I noticed I have a weird shock feeling on the left side of my chest on and off throughout the day . Could be coincidence but it didn’t happen until I started the d3 ... also been having tingling in the hands and feet
Hey man, how are you doing?
Doctor Eric , I am just little concerned if ginkgo biloa can cause any sort of internal bleeding .. thank you for making such great videos and helping people improve there overall health
If you have a precondition..
Which is safer long term for high blood pressure? Gingko or Hawthorn?
Wait a Minute! 240MG of dried Ginkgo leaf is not going to be anything like a significant intake of Nitrites. That is approximately (which is just a guess because I have no idea of the water content) somewhere in the range of 1/250th of a 4 oz baby leaf mixed green salad - which is what I had for dinner dinner.
(240 mg is really the safe max you should take to avoid you know - bleeding out and getting disinvited to sit in my mother's living room.)
What is the recommended dosage for a 57 year old male? Really enjoying your videos and greatly appreciate u explaining things in simple terms with examples. Can't get that from any doctor I have ever seen
Is it safe to supplement gingko while on blood pressure meds and Eloquis? My dad is 86 and has dementia but I am trying to improve his diet and lifestyle. Thank you for all your valuable information!!!
Wondering what's the right dosage to take? I have seen 240mg and also 7000mg or more... Appreciate the help 🙏👍
Based on my humble experience 20 tablets so far...it is ...amazing!
Especially in blood flow and memory! 😀
Thank you Dr.berg.
Doc gingko biloba is good for memory. May I asked you doc for now I want to take a gingko biloba extract its good for the health or not and also for memory.
Gingkgo biloba has been recommended to my son for tardive dyskenesia caused by high doses of forced medication of antipsychotics.. I'm concerned about any long term side effects. I need to find a way to help him with alternative medicine. 🙏
I just watched a video today that stated that after the Hiroshima bombing in 1945 there were about six of these trees that actually survived when they were only a 1 mile away from the bombing!! Thought I might research herbs from this tree and found your video.
Incase you’re interested the youtube video is labeled “ top 10 things you didn’t know about the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki”
Dr. Berg, I suffer hypertension since many years. All these years I been pre-obese (220lb). Now I Weight 194lb, following Keto lifestyle. However still having issues with blood pressure. I take medication and potassium to lower it. I was told that if you take Nitric Oxide it increases blood pressure. Can you go more deep into this subject please because I like to do excercise (Cycling mostly) and want to improve my performance. Thank you.
GREAT VIDEO DR BERG. GREAT EDUCATION AS WELL. PLEASE CONTINUE TO SPEAK YOUR TRUTH.
I use it in tea for example
Thank you! I’d like to start taking Ginko Biloba as supplement, which dosis and consideration should i take to select a supplement Dr. Berg?
Dr Berg can you take this supplement everyday and is it safe to ? Thanks
Yes
Thank you for your help
Is it the same as ginko Forte? I've heard it's good for eye sight. Thank you, Dr. Berg
I found this is also good for pmdd. I take daily 10 days before period
Dr. Eric Berg, since Ginkgo is a vasodilator what is the possibility it could help with (ED)? By the way , I live in South Korea and have Ginkgo trees all over, would the fresh leaves as a tea be best?
Dr. Berg hello. Can you give a description of what causes lower pain in the legs. I’ve had this problem for a long time. Thanks! For the great info you provide.
Metal damnation27 varicose veins, maybe?
Dave Lawson calves all the way down to ankles.
I have lower leg pain from the knee down, both muscle and bones, not just the joints. Walking or standing, jumping or any impact even for short periods causes me horrible pain sometimes lasting days, weeks. No explanation from any doctor. Always had leg pains as a kid. As I got older it got worse, now if I did 10 jumping Jacks I could be in severe pain for weeks. I have poor circulation but no vericose veins. Other than that it's a mystery???

Thanks for all the awesome info Dr. Berg. Do you think ginkgo Biloba supplements break a fast? There isn't any clear information on it anywhere on the net, and I've searched. Thank you!
Very glad to be of help.
Does it make you dependant on it? I'm 18 and I want to stop taking it after a certain amount of time, I don't want to be taking it forever.
Dr. Berg: Can one take Gingko Biloba capsules during radiotherapy for cancer? We were given conflicting opinions: 1) radiation protective vs. 2) Radiologist says that it can interfere with effective results to destroy cancer, because of its anti oxidant activity. Please advise Dr. Berg. Thank you in advance. Sheila.
Hello. I have Lyme desis. Antibiotics do not help. Maybe you could help me
@@lidiabrodsky1841 I'm vert sorry to hear that. I read that only antibiotics help kill the bacteria causing it. Ask for different antibiotics. Good luck, take care!
I have severe tinnitus, even with clean keto/omad lifestyle over a year. Tried gingko capsules for almost 2 month, and didn't work.
Ps: i have sensorineural hearing loss since i've been a child. This tinnitus got into severe condition when i reached 26-27yo. I don't think diets/fasting/or any kind of pill will work unless they find a drug that will cure tinnitus and or hearing loss.
Candida, got tinnitus when I went keto also including systemic candida, try vitamin C and msm, Also liquid chlorophyll gets rid of my tinnitus after 2 days, now foods brand, try liquid chlorophyll first
You also said there isn't any pill or whatever for tinnitus, bro do your research first before commenting such a comment and try things first, You go ahead and buy liquid chlorophyll now and get back to me in a week because that's how sure I am it will go away lol, I tried everything for 2.5 years, I have no idea why it kills my tinnitus, maybe its the copper, balancing the hormones or thyroid, killing pathogens and candida, I don't know, but it damn well works, try it you won't regret it
@@TheJimmyswe150 thanks mate, much appreciated. Please advise if there is any specific brand for liquid chlorophyll, powder or liquid form, and recommended dosage per day. Thanks in advance.

I also heard colloidal gold is very good for brain function. There is one study which proves it.
I tried it myself but I noticed nothing at all.
Very informative video we love you Dr Berg God bless you
Glad to know that you liked this post!
I wonder which tree is more beneficial, Ginko or Moringa. I take both.
Dear Doc, FYI- Gingko Biloba trees are available in the US nursery trade. I KNOW they grow in Denver, CO.
It's a great gift of the plant world; like anything, however, one 'size' or herb does not fit all...further on in the comments you can see this is true. I myself use an 'indicator' to find dosage/form information specific to myself. Other people do muscle testing.
What is good brand? Now or doctors best?
Two ginkgo trees in my Indiana backyard. Will make some tea. I see lots of these trees in parks and downtown. Just be careful of the stinky nuts, the skin burns your hands, but a few nuts a day are good for you too
Noted. Just recently fall down I feel the pain around my feet area
is it still advisable to take the gingko biloba capsule despite feeling some minor stomach acid? i mean, i personally dont mind the sound my stomach makes due to the acidity in my stomach after taking one capsule every day. but just wondering if it has grave consequences if i continue taking it. thank you dr. Berg
Thank you Dr Berg . Appreciate you very much
Very glad to be of help.
What’s the best way to take this? I’ve tried the liquid vials. But they were sweetened with honey and I’m not sure if that’s effective. Studies show most supplement capsules are fraudulent, so it’s so difficult to know who to trust or the most effective way to consume.
All the way from Republic of Ireland fililipino.. Happy New year everyone.
Recently had open heart surgery... Been on Plavix for 6 months now. I would like to start taking Ginkgo, but cannot because I'm on the Plavix. Question: can I take Ginkgo and get off the Plavix? I'm talking 75mg of Plavix a day, 250mg of Ginkgo twice a day is recommended for best results. Is it doable?
I've got bad tinnitus and brain fog from tmjd. Hoping this will help.
Love this video Ginko Biloba helps take it daily
Looks like the quality of ginko is going to play a huge role. Any recommendations on a good brand?
Unfortunately, Dr. Berg does not recommend specific brands, because he can't track the source materials they use, etc. We recommend you do a bit more research on this.
