Great personality i learned alot here. Didnt know it was called gasket. You did a good job. But If you keep the door open slightly every night It will never get mould.
Oh I stopped completely using fabric softener. The best option I think is in-wash beads by Lenor or Downy and vinegar. Or vinegar alone for whitening and odour elimination.
Thanks for the tip of the essential oils. I use a steamer, which has some detachable heads but I still pair it with the toothbrush. I use citric acid on the hottest wash. My Bosch washing machine and I have been together for 18 years, we need to part company but we are hanging in there. The new machines whichever brand are so technical. Anyway, I have to do my research in anticipation of us having to part company.
Stopped using powdered detergent because of the residue it left plus the clothes came out with strips of soap zimejichorachora. I tried the liquid detergent (hii yenye tunajitengenezea) and it was amazing (insert Suzy's voice)
It might work well for now but the homemade soap is a bit harsh on appliances. Longterm it will damage it. Just use the machine liquid detergent. Persil has a huge value size 3.5 liters for about 2200 ot lasts so long. Used one bottle for 3 months and it still hasn't finished.
Sometimes the scrubber or cloth does not reach the corners inside the machine detergent dispenser area. I use a bottle brush in warm soapy water to scrub unreachable areas in there.
Hey Joyce! With our weather here in East Africa, we really don't need a dryer because clothes dry easily on the line. Also, clothes last longer when they are dried on the line, than when using a dryer. Not to mention the excessive power consumption of a dryer. Those are just a few of the reasons why I opt for a washer alone. Lastly, a washer+dryer is way more expensive than just a washer. 😁😁
U r heaven sent was doing window shopping cz I want to invest in one n now I know the brand to go for thanks...hapo pa utakuta hata 🐈 s n dolls naokotwa😂😂😂

The liquid detergent you made on your video is it machine friendly?? Because the liquid detergent we buy it's for Ariel machine friendly but it's sooo expensive ghai
Hey Eunice! I've heard of people using it on their machines and it worked for them. My only issue is that the high efficiency washers we have nowadays are not made to handle that much foam and soap, and in the long run this might affect your machine. That's why I prefer laundry pods, and machine friendly detergents. I believe that's one reason why our machine has lasted as long as it has. ☺️☺️
Great question Agnes. We normally sort out the extremely dirty kids' clothes, and these are handwashed by our help. If this is not an option, then yes, prewashing them by hand before putting in the machine will also work very well. 🌺🌺
Hey Lucinda! We bought ours more than ten years ago, so the price has drastically changed. However, I have put a link of a great one to buy in the description box. Please click the link for the price and other details. ☺️☺️
I have decided cleaning during the day doesn't work for me. The vibe around my house is negative so I will try night cleaning when guys are asleep so I see if this time of being alone works better
Hey Eliza! Good job! You've managed to save quite a bit for your washer. My advice is to keep saving just a bit more, so that you can get a good quality washer. For such big appliances I always recommend buying quality because you will use it for long. We've had ours for almost 15years now and it's still going strong. I don't mean to discourage you, I just want you to have the best value for money.. 🤗🤗🤗
I presoak clothes ,use Astonish bleach when need be au jik kwa basin Then for bright colours n very dirty I go with washing options that allow use of hot water, prewash n intensive wash options, In short you have to go an extra mile which I don't mind
I agree with Elsy on those tips. They'll help you a lot. Also, don't fill your machine too much, because it it's too full then it will not wash as well. Also, doing a pre-wash and then intensive wash helps. Lastly, using the right detergent. As I said, Tide pods have worked wonders for us, even for kids' clothes. Hope that helps. ☺️☺️

After every wash it's recommended to leave the machine open for a while....
Nice job. By the way i learnt from my daughter that it is seal tape not sello tape as we commnly call it.
suzy, I love watching ur videos. please can u make a video on how to clean fridges and what's the good brand of fridges. Thanks 🥰😍😘
Thanks Lornah! Sure, I will do that one soon. 🎉🎉
The Mildew is caused by fabric softener that has fat/oils
You can use vinegar as a fabric softener
Thanks Binaca! I use vinegar when washing my towels. Perhaps I could use it a bit more. Very helpful. 👍🏾👍🏾

Wow.... please do a video on how to use it plx....i have one but don't know how to use

Great idea Doris! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Am here to learn 1 or 2 things since I plan to own one soon and also want to learn the difference of having a washer alone or a washer + dryer

How do you prevent khaki trousers and black clothes from staining
Separate washes
you have to wash more often at 60°C so that no mold forms in the door sleeve and drum
Thanks for the tip!💐😊

I have noticed that my bright clothes have discolored is there anything I could be doing wrong ?
Good demonstration my dear hi where can I get Tide pods and how much a pack
Hey Susan! I've pinned a comment and put a link in the description box. ☺️☺️
Thank you for this..... So helpful 👍👍💕💞
Most welcome dear. 🤗🤗
Hi Suzy please tell me of the amount of water used and electricity
i need a washing machine when i grow up in suzie`s voice but how is the power consumption ladies?
Yes please I also need to know
Neglible in my experience
Power consumption is not a problem. You won't even notice the difference.
The power consumption is not that bad, especially if you use cold water. Heating the water and also using the dryer is what really "eats up" power. 😂😂
Thanks ladies
Hi,where can I get tide pods
Hey Sheillah! I've pinned a comment and put a link in the description box of where you can get the pods. ☺️☺️
Your makeup is on point. Looking lovely dear.
And I'm condemning you for not taking care of your washing machine 😠😠😉😄
Wah! Ebu read that verse again about no condemnation!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙈🙈🙈🙈
Please do you have formular for making liquid soap for front load machine?
Hi! I don't have any formula for washing machine detergent
I opted to get a top loader because my current home is a rental and has no laundry area. So far, so good 😁
Which one did you go for? Seeking such same circumstances
Hey Wangui! Our home is also a rental and we use a front loader. 🤔🤔

Which washing detergent do you use? I use persil and recently it's like the water I'm using is borehole coz clothes aren't getting clean
Hi! I use laundry pods.
@@suzyshomestead Thanks for your reply.
Suzzy I look forth to getting 1 but I live in a place with water supply issues, any advice??
Great question Ian. I think I would get a water tank, just to be sure. And then plan my washing perhaps two or three days per week. All the best! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
You can use put water on the detergent hole manually when there is no water but watch the water level.I learnt this from a fundi
Thanks alot Suzy ..I have learned a lot.. please send me that machine once you get the new one 😍
😂😂😂 thanks Mary! This one will go straight to Mom though.. 😁😁
How much is that gadget?

I have a big challenge while washing black clothes. Any assistance
Hi Faith! Separating the washes will help.
Do you spin it with water or Dry?
I spun with water. 🌟
Can you use hard water in a washing machine?
Yes you can. I have been using hard water for 6 years now and it does perfect job
Yes, you can use hard water.
Our bill goes to 7k, not washing daily. Maybe it's the model? Does yours consume a lot of electricity
Don't put hot temperature just use normal of 30 degrees.it greatly reduced my kplc bill
Hi! The main thing that increases power consumption is using hot wash. Normal wash with cold water doesn't use much power.
Hey Suzy, I have a sumsung top load but broken down. Anyone you know can do repair?

Yes Sheillah, it leaves stains on the clothes. It was so annoying. So glad I got rid of that. ☺️☺️
I have an ancient LG top load which doesn’t clean my clothes well, how do you guys manage to have the machines clean clothes well?
