One thing I'd like to mention about the kids savings (boxes), I recently learnt that we should teach our children to earn from adding value rather than from chores cz those are 'expectations' rather than value additions. I wish I knew this earlier & I know I am raising questions with that but there's a lot more to it than can fit here so we can talk on the side (if you're interested).

For toothbrushes, if you don't want fecal matter to get on them, when you flush, just lower the toilet lid before flushing. In france, WC are separate in most homes and I like that.
