I used these Rockets in 2K, and honestly, our bench scarier than our starters. I had Amen at PG, Reed at SG, Cam at SF, Adams at the 5 and Eason at pf and was destroying fools. Reed was a damn sniper.
I'm looking forward to watch these trio playing together with the 2nd unit. PG - Sheppard SG - Whitmore SF - Amen Thompson I expect that to be showtime!!! and Houston 2nd unit will be the best in the NBA.

Its interesting to see what they will sign Jalen/Sengun to as they are on contract negotiation time. If they give both maxes, this team wont be a title team, but if they manage to convince them to take less they can really build something. They are at a big crossroads and they are open to trading everyone as well as keeping everyone. Very interesting team
JG has to be engaged defensively & able to be effective off-ball, when the offense isn’t running thru him. He’s been a completely different player when Shengun is the focal point.
And I still contest that if Jabari Smith realizes his full potential. He could Low key, still emerge as their best player. Tools wise, his skills are like that imo.
People forget that Jalen Green regressed in the last week or two in the season. It’s much easier to believe he had an unsustainable hot streak that cooled down significantly than him figuring things out. He still is a poor defender and playmaker. I don’t get the hype. I could be wrong, absolutely. But I don’t think a 2 week stretch sells me more than 3 whole seasons of awful play with very marginal improvement.
Jalen isn’t a bad defender lol he’s actually improved as well as his playmaking. The reason he didn’t do as well is because he was doubled like 90% of the game and no one else would hit shots

The spurs aren't tanking nor do they need to, they have the most picks outside of okc and unlike okc all of them are loosely protected outside of a hornets pick. The team was also a lot better than their record would indicate, a lot of games came down to the wire and were lost just cus the guys haven't really played together and they're really young. Wemby has also said he knows it's gonna be a process to become a contender and he literally said it was fate and he dreamed of being on the spurs since he was little
They are too good to tank...and there's no reason to tank...and they added CP3 and Harrison Barnes. I'm not sold on Castle but we will see. They should be able to win 30+ games relatively easily. The only teams that should tank are Washington, Portland, and maybe Chicago. Detroit should even be much better this year but they will still be one of the worst teams.

I’m not sure how the money works but what y’all think about Ingram for Jabari Smirth Jr(plus filler). Pelicans get a perimeter big on offense and a good defender which is perfect for Zion. Rockets get another star, someone who can command a double team, distribute a bit and is excellent in the mid range which would make pick and roll with Ingram and Sengun lethal. I’d start Eason with Smith gone. So it Ingram, Green, Thompson, Eason and Sengun. My only issue is Eason and Thompson gonna have to handle the brunt of the work on Defense. That won’t be easy. I didn’t forget about Fred. I’m just not imagining him being with the Rockets as a long term part of the core.

No one cares if they have a lot of young pieces that don’t fit together. There’s only 5 players on the court which is why your Big 3 is the most important.
