I made this and LOVE IT! Thank you for making this video and your excellent instructions. I was able to follow along with you easily. It's just what I wanted to make. I'm so pleased. Looking forward to making more of your beautiful yarn artwork pieces.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am currently making this. One in 100% cotton as I live in the tropics and a second one on the next project list, using a cake skein yarn because I simply want to see how the yarn will work out. Being a frequent hospital patient, I simply love this Capelet, which is so easy too make and affordable. This would make a wonderful gift for any woman with a planned hospital stay, like a mom-to-be or an elderly lady. Or for anyone who simply wants to crochet and donates to hospital volunteer handmade gift shops or to give to nursing home residents. It is easy, affordable and will be so ideal for bed bound women.
Thank you for yet another great looking and easy to work pattern. I love the ability to use the video and written pattern side by side, having purchased your patterns on Etsy. A wonderful blessing. Can't thank you enough. May God bless your channel and multiply your resources beyond your wildest dream.
Absolutely beautiful. This is the cape pattern I have been looking for. You descriptions and instructions where so easy to follow. I love all your crochet tutorials and your Facebook page. Thank you so much.
Just made this in Lion Brand Scarfie, 6.5 mm hook and it turned out beautifully. A very easy pattern and it looks amazing. Thank you for a fabulous video!
I was looking for a capelet pattern and I loved this one. I didnt realize it was crystal until I clicked on it. I can't tell you how many times that has happened. She just has the best patterns and they are usually really easy.
Thank you so much for your pattern. I was trying to figure out how to make a capelet by crochetting 5/6th of a circle (giving me a 30 deg angle from the horizontal for the shoulder slope). I calculated I would need to increase an average of 10 stiches per row. Your instructions make sense, giving a 16% stich increase per row. Based on the 67 starting chain (62 if we deduct the turning chains), I end up with 10 stich increase per row. Bingo. Now, I need to figure out the stich increase per row for a thinner yarn. I think I will need to do more rows of each shell pattern. Back to the drawing board for more calculations.
I made this capelet and finished it today (minus the button, husband is bringing them to me on saturday), only took a few hours all together and it was gorgeous. I used 2 of yarn bee sugarwheel "lollipop along" and the colors came out almost perfectly in rows like a mandala cake. I've got a few other colors to use to make a few more. Thank you so much for this tutorial, it was super easy to follow along to, the outcome is super beautiful and they will make amazing gifts this Christmas
Just found this pattern, love it. I have made two 1 with cotton cakes with the color. The second one I used Premier 1:08 Fruits cakes without the collar added a border and a chain loop in the front for my buttons. Love this site
I made your ribbed ear warmer headband last night it came out so cute,,,I love how you explained how to make it,,,thank you. Tonight I'm going to work on this Cape and surprise my mother in law, she will love this.
Your patience with that yarn is remarkable! If I decide to attempt the piece, I will not use that yarn.... I'm a patient person but I know my limitations! It is a stunning piece and worthy of attempting, in the future. 😁
I did one of these yesterday and posted it to your fb group page , I started another one about 9 PM last night ! I really love this pattern ! It is so easy ! ty Crystal ! Charlie Cotton
Hello Crystal, beautiful pattern. I like that it was very easy to make. I made mine using Boing yarn. (After seeing your review on Boing yarn from Lionbrand, I thought this would be a perfect pattern.) It turned out really nice. Thank you
thanks for this tutorial! The capelet you made is very, very pretty, one of my favorites ever. I like your cool personality and the way you make sense... easy to follow along. I'm going to try to make this with some of my home spun Bluefaced Leicester natural moorit color yarn.
Just found this tutorial and I love it, wouldn't it look great with a solid color dress to match a color in the cape. Thanks Crystal, going to make this one..
Hi Crystal, I just came across your RUclips channel and absolutely love your videos. Your instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. Your projects are amazing, you are so talented. Thank you for sharing and God Bless You! 🙂
Just made this. Very easy but mine is much more stiff because of the type of yarn I used. Hopefully it will loosen up once I steam block it. It’s going to be very warm. Hopefully my Stepmom will like it. I just have to find her a pretty shawl pin to match it. I’m excited to give this to her. Thank you Crystal!
I was going over your old videos and found this project. I am making it in Lion Brand Landscapes “Desert Spring” and is coming out beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial
Nice really quickly completed project you are becoming super crocheter Well done I think i will be trying to use some other brand maybe will let you know
I have made several of this pattern love it. I used Caron Cotton cakes and made them longer (35) rows. Would love to see this with arm openings. Do you have any patterns like that. Your’e voice is so soothing. Thank you for all your tutorials.
Hi Crystal, I'm so happy to have found your tutorials! You are teaching me to crochet! I've only been crocheting since October and have made many many projects, mostly from your tutorials. I couldn't get the chevron down until following you and then I got it and made a purse! Thank you so much for all you do! I was wondering how many skeins of yarn this cape is? I have one skine in that same yarn brand, but if I need more I'll get it first before starting.

Did you use a different size hook or adjust the stitch count at all?
Love it. You make it so easy. Now I have to make one for my mom's birthday. Love your tutorials.

Nice easy to follow tutorial. I call the double and triple stitches done here shell stitches; whatever they are called, the piece is great. Thank you.

Your patience with that yarn is remarkable! If I decide to attempt the piece, I will not use that yarn.... I'm a patient person but I know my limitations! It is a stunning piece and worthy of attempting, in the future. 😁
Crystal, this is gorgeous and I just love the button embellishment you chose for it.
Maybe Crystal..it could help us..if you measured your starting chain..then we could work ours out to be close..depending on hook and yarn choice? 😊
I just completed crocheting this and I love it! It was so easy to follow and turned out so pretty.
