Luka Doncic made game 7 against the Suns look easy. The Mavericks dominated from the start and now people are amazed at how a 23 year old could demolish a Finals team from last season. What those people don’t acknowledge is the huge struggle Luka went through as a kid to put him in that position. This is a detailed look at Luka’s life and career before the NBA.

I spent the last 2 decades cheering for Dirk. Now I'm gonna spend the next 2 decades rooting for Luka. I'm blessed!

Luka Doncic was the best player in the 2nd best basketball league as an 18 year. Ayton, Bagley and Young were dominating against future sales reps and accountants.

I don’t understand the title. Do you mean how a 23 yo dominates the league?

dude american fans and analysts are just not particularly smart, they consistently don't give european basketball any credit and then wonder how their team missed drafting a stud like Luka

Mf was the best youth player in his area, so he went to Madrid. Was the best youth player in Europe, so he went pro. Became the best player in Europe, so he went to the NBA, and now he’s one of the best players in the NBA. He’s ridiculous.

That title makes no sense. So he was not 13 anymore when he dominated.

what is very impressive is the fact that the father practices genetics to ensure his kids would be tall

His Euroleague debut was against Olympiacos. I'm a huge Olympiacos fan. I saw that game. I knew that kid was special from the first few minutes I saw him

I firstly saw him back in 2017 when he was 16/17 in Euroleague, i was in awe, hit back to back clutch threes against Žalgiris to win the game, i knew from that point on, he is going to be something special, he won later EuroBasket while being hurt in the final and was in a team of the tournament for that Euros, next year he played against Barcelona and had insane ankle breaker and half court 3 at the buzzer also a game winner against Crvena Zvezda, later i saw him live in Belgrade in Final Four 2018 winning against CSKA Moscow and clutching it out in the final against Fenerbahce, simply amazing, im glad that he successed

Thank you for running down Doncic's incomparable Euroleague resume. So many revisionists out there in medialand right now wanna pretend Luka came out of nowhere to be what he is now. He was the MVP of the Euroleague as a teenager, a league that is more competitive than D1 collegiate basketball, with unique playmaking and size that set him apart from Ayton, Bagley, and the other top guys in that draft class even as a prospect. Will never convince me it was anything other than bias that convinced the Suns and Kings not to take him.

I start watch nba because someone make video about Luka rookie year and I following him ever since

  • @TeacherNickoy

His dad was right tough, supporting your child even if it means to leave you at a very young age is being a great father. I was once also been offered a good job overseas, but my parents won’t let me go there, so i stayed here and everyday regretting for staying, my ex coworkers (who always ask me how to do the job well) who are now in overseas have a great life, bringing their families overseas, and earning 20x i am earning here, and now having charity to help the poor in my country. I always regret staying, but what can i do, it’s also too late for me to go overseas now.

My only concern with Luka is because he was already a pro in his teenage years, he might already be starting with those wear and tears around his body. Hopefully he would have a long and successful career in the NBA

for sure Luka Doncic was just a BAD MAN, i mean just absolutely out of your mind insane, the numbers Doncic had in this series, just truly unbelievable, and honestly the warriors should be kinda worried because they gotta defend this man in the west finals for sure

It is so amazing that I watched nearly every of those games. It is a blessing to see one person of my country compiting with the best on the highest level. But to be honest, I was just waiting for that. video and here it is.
