My grandma had this on vhs and id watch it all the time during summer break, ah the memories of being a kid
does anyone else remember the dvd with this, another hansel and beetle animation, and then another one included about a boy being scared of a monster behind a door

Yes the DVD is called (Toon Factory)it was a collection but I only own one as a child, somebody on Google images posted the back cover of the DVD so that's how I ended up here the back cover shows all cartoons names that come on the DVD 📀
I had a DVD with that stop motion, red riding hood, and stop motion Rapunzel
My old school has these films ,we used to watch them on a projector in the 80s...This totally blew me away..fond memories

I remember I think I had a VHS of this during the 1990's and it had another cartoon on it too but I can't remember the other cartoon that was on it. But thanks so much for downloading this this one's for sure a classic!!

Totally! There’s such a sinister undercurrent even to the parts that aren’t supposed to be scary.
I feel the same way about string puppets. No matter how frivolous or happy the story is supposed to be, they just do something weird to my psyche.😅

It's so very eerie to watch an American interpretation of Germanic folklore.. (I'm Scandinavian).
It tends to get "softened up" a bit for the more sensitive audience... I bet the general American would tense up, if they knew what stories the original westerners grew up on. Disney nerfed the doodle out of the stories..
Does the narrator say the witch was green? well, the witch looks more blue than green.
