He was so in love... Which after I realize being in love with an old man is not that bad when the relationship pleasure is My dances & My poetic ideas🍁..
Someone needs to get their information correct. The homes for Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra aren't even located in Holmby Hills. Marilyn's house is located in Brentwood which is across the freeway from Holmby Hills and Frank Sinatra's home was located in West Hills which is about a 30 minute drive from Holmby Hills.
Very hard to believe the house had to be demolished -- that it was impossible to renovate it. It wasn't very old, and was still inhabited when it was sold (for a huge sum). Absurd excuse to demolish the house, so it could be replaced by a monster house. Shameful.
Also, the narration is confusing. Some of it makes it seem like the house still exists. For example, it is not "Disney's former home [that] greets visitors..." -- it is an entirely different, new house.
Is it just me, but does a lot of Walt's ideas for his personal residences sound like Michael Jackson's Neverland? MJ obviously found inspiration in Walts ideas, but until watching this, I never realized just how much.
Well MJ loved the never ending story and Peter Pan. He wanted to bring about the feeling of neverland as being a fun place for kids and grown ups alike.
Walt never set foot in this house, he owned the land, someone bought it, tore down Walt's house and built this one on the same land. The only thing of Walt's that remains are the tracks of a rideable model railroad.
That is not his Carolwood home. His house was torn down and replaced by a larger home. I worked for Disney and know what his last house (Carolwood )looked like.
I loved every thing about the home and land.
Disney a never ending inspiration indeed 🎉❤🎉
Thank you for so interesting and detailed story!!
Awwwwwwesome!!
Very nice ! Super !

Indeed, the video talks about the mansion as if it still exists, even though it mensions that the building was destroyed in 2001.

The tracks are gone as well….
Walt's home was demolished and this garish home was built in its place.

The home you are showing was not Walt Disney’s home, the old home was torn down and that Mansion replaced it. They said it was full of asbestos.
This is not the house he lived in. You could do better.
