Technically, many people pronounce the coda as four since they add a “k” sound between the velar nasal and dental fricative: str-e-nkths
Unironically, my Dutch has prepared me for -nskt because Dutch has example words like "fietste"(imperfect past form of "fietsen", meaning to cycle.). Not prepared for umlaut though, still trying to figure that one out.

Avlönskt is such a funny to say. It's right up there with the phrase 'Ri-Ra-Rutsch' (from a german song for little kids) and 'Floof' for me.

In ancient Rome you generally do. Same with other variations of Latin.
In Slovenian you also pronounce v like that at the end of syllables which is also how it works in the conlang my name is in!
