Wait, what do you mean there is only ONE singer?! Are you crazy, man? How can someone pronounce so well in so many languages without being a native speaker?! Are you a wizard?!
although japan was a school trip so idk if that counts, but my best friend is Polish and my boyfriend is German, so I get to use these languages quite often!! the others are either through school or just self-study :(
English speaker here; I appreciate the detail of "follow the bouncing ball" of highlighting the individual words of the translated captions with the syntax of the current language.
Same, it’s so fascinating and interesting as someone who only speaks English to see the structure of the sentences so directly compared, really gives some insight into how the translations work (and why poorly translated English sounds so off; they’re literally breaking their sentences apart and restructuring them to fit ours in a lot of cases)
@@swordsmancs That's very true. I am a native Polish speaker and a writer and I constantly have this problem whenever I want to send my stories to my friends who don't speak Polish. Even if I use the good translator and then correct some mistakes or I translate everything by hand, I do mind flips and structural combinations because English is so stiff. In Polish you can change the order of the verb and put it in the beginning, middle or in the end and there is at least 50% chance you will build a sentence correct and it will even sound natural depending on the context (for example the sentence before and after). We just... Build sentences.
@@swordsmancs Once I was talking with my German friend and when German is more similar to Polish when it comes to sentence structure (both aren't English level stiff) but she couldn't understand how we can put the adjective AFTER the noun which is described by it and it can still be correct.
Eagle eyed watchers may have noticed that at 2:17 with 今切ないの? Am I now lethargic? and 今悲しいの? Am I now sad? , the 'Am I' is never highlighted. That's because Japanese language does not require a verb, or a subject, to form a complete sentence. Instead you can use what's called an i-adjective, a type of word that doesn't exist in English, to make a complete sentence, and the listener must derive the subject and verb from context.

Our language doesn't get noticed very often, much less pronounced so well by a foreigner. As a Hungarian, I feel like the parent who awaits their child's part during a play each time waiting for the lyrics in my mother tongue. But this isn't the only reason this cover is so important to me. It signifies something much bigger than just a RUclips cover of a song. Music is a universal language, the feelings it conveys are the same everywhere. But it brings together many non-universal languages. I greatly appreciate that you took the time to practice all the pronunciations and sang it all alone. You could've just asked around for other people native to those languages, but you choose to unite them under an outstandingly great cover. Edit: I just felt like adding the fact how proud it makes me to listen to this. Proud of being Hungarian, European, a human. P.S Я знаю что акцент не идеален, но я имею ввиду, что для такого большого языкового словаря, иметь хоть какой-то адекватный акцент для каждого - это невообразимо лично для меня, да и как я знаю потратил он на изучение не столь много времени, из-за чего я и удивляюсь...
@@justaglitch. акцент то хороший, может и перегнул с идеальным, но хотя бы русский язык послушай, да, в конце немного заметен плохой акцент, но в остальном почти отлично, что для иностранца очень сложно, учитывая что он и на других языках тоже пел и изучал их всего 3 года..
Акцент всё-таки есть. Едва заметный, но есть. Особо он выделяется при произношении слова "вовек", которое превращается в "вовЬек". Но да. Великолепная работа.
I mean, polish is not that hard it's more of "easy to learn, hard to master" the main problem of speaking Polish is first learning how to pronounce all these phones like: ą, ę, sz, cz, ś, ć etc. the second problem is learning the declension by all 7 cases which, in combination with the declension by persons and plural form, cause several dozen versions of 1 word so basically, if you learn the pronunciation of Polish phones, there should be no problem with reading or singing, as it comes down to proper pronunciation, not understanding the meaning

@Pluto The Dwarf Planet nah don’t have money for that unfortunately i’ve only been to germany, poland and japan on holiday tbh

Part of a society with so many beautiful languages, so many beautiful and diverse cultures to appreciate.

His voice is so adorable, i would also like to hear full russian version sang by him
Согласен, в исполнении автора это будет потрясающе
Okay, I'm shook. As a native Finn, it is absolutely close to perfection. If I was to hear only 4.43, I'd say he's Finnish native. Absolutely amazing!
+1. Did not expect that.
@@justaglitch. акцент то хороший, может и перегнул с идеальным, но хотя бы русский язык послушай, да, в конце немного заметен плохой акцент, но в остальном почти отлично, что для иностранца очень сложно, учитывая что он и на других языках тоже пел и изучал их всего 3 года..
Oh my god, this is the absolute best version i have ever heard! This is absolutely impressive!
東方が愛されてる事がすごく伝わってくる...!!
as Ukrainian which talk at Ukrainian and Russian language, i can say that you have good, perfect accent for it!
It was beautiful
as a native french speaker he do it too ! he's so good
привіт брат Українець)
Здаров)
worst timing for both rn
BAD APPLE!!
Это просто прекрасная работа! Спасибо за ваш труд~
Большое спасибо!!
English & USA youtubers: OMG Polish Language is so hard!
Avlönskt: Bruh *Sings in Polish perfectly*
(edit: WOW, thx for 95 likes 0_0)
Polish actually makes a lot of sense and is very regular and I will die on this hill
@@avlonskt In my opinion, the Polish part is well sung ...
I don't speak Polish but I want to learn it, but I have heard a lot of Polish, and it soulds very like it
@Maselek prawda
My first thought was that he was of polish nationality
I mean, polish is not that hard
it's more of "easy to learn, hard to master"
the main problem of speaking Polish is first learning how to pronounce all these phones like: ą, ę, sz, cz, ś, ć etc.
the second problem is learning the declension by all 7 cases which, in combination with the declension by persons and plural form, cause several dozen versions of 1 word
so basically, if you learn the pronunciation of Polish phones, there should be no problem with reading or singing, as it comes down to proper pronunciation, not understanding the meaning
I don’t know about the other languages but the German part is flawless
Des is so gut 👍
Same with Spanish, it's just on point. He even put on a Spanish accent.
Polish is flawless too
The finnish part is perfect too like WOW!! :0
scarily good at every language. i've been skimming the comments and only see people like "wait, (x language) isn't your native language?"
just noticed that if you watch with subtitles on there's romanizations of the non latin alphabet languages (japanese, russian, ukrainian)
