    Did a great job on the Autocross. The C30 really handles far better than people give it credit for, especially when fettled with. Always great fun lift off oversteering into a corner with people because they don’t expect a Volvo to do that.
    Nice build, keep the content coming 👍

      Thanks :D yeah, it somehow continues to surprise me every time I push it, even after almost 3 years of driving C30s! The rear sway bar upgrade was such a slight but massive difference in the car, It's honestly sooo good now, and good tires help a lot of course.

    Really enjoy all your C30 videos, and love your dry sense of humour too. Still waiting for the right C30 D3/D4 for me to come up for sale here in the UK, but your videos have given me good ideas for what to buy, and also what mods - if any - to look into. I don't really have any auto mechanical skills, but you do make it look like it's good to have a go at doing some things yourself, and I love that. Keep the vids coming!

      Thank you! :D Really appreciate your nice feedback! I'd say you have good odds on finding one, from what I've seen the UK seems to have the best market for C30s in Europe, maybe matched by Sweden. It's always fun to do some wrenching on your own car, and basic things like oil service and brakes are quite manageable on the C30s for someone just starting out, especially on the ones with volvo's own engines.(All the 5 cylinder ones)

    Great Video! Wish they did more AutoCross in the UK. Let us know if you need anything ;)

      Alg performance thanks! :D yeah, it's so much fun, it's only a couple times a year here too. I actually have your driveshaft spacers and a hardrace sway bar from you on the C30! I was looking at exhausts too, but I couldn't get any shipping to Norway on your KMS exhausts, so I ended up buying directly from KMS. I have been eyeing the removable rear brace and your android auto system for some time, so I might just end up getting myself one or both of those! I'm currently working on my own custom open air filter for the D4/D3, I think it would be cool if you guys offered a bolt on system sometime in the future!

      There’s plenty about mate, but it’s called AutoSOLO over here. Great bang for buck.

    Great video and what a performance on the Autocross. Congrats for 2nd place, really impressive :)

      Thanks :) I really got to show everyone the worth of the C30! Even if the drivers might have had some role in placements xD. I don't think I would have beat that GR Yaris with equal drivers exactly...

      Thanks :D Yeah, it's basically the most fun you can have in a car, and relatively affordable. I only wish we had it as often as you guys have in the states!

    Looks like fun driving the autocross in the c30.
    I'm a Volvo Enthusiast having owned various p80 chassis and various p2 chassis. That being said, I've always wanted a c30 R-Design with the updated exterior. I'm a big fan of hatchbacks(presently driving an 05 Saab 9-2x Aero/Saabaru), and to me, the Volvo c30 R-Design is the ultimate hothatch of it's era. How is the c30 R-Design as a daily driver as far handling bumps in road and over gravel roads?

    • @VinnesAuto
      @VinnesAuto  2 месяца назад

      Mine is lowered, but my previous C30 was on stock R-design suspension. In my personal opinion it was a really good mix of comfort and sportiness. Handling smaller bumps with no problem, never really hit any very big bumps, but on your usual tired old road I felt it was very composed. I haven't driven much on gravel, but for snow, it's really nice actually for being FWD. It does naturally have a understeer balance, but you can make the tail slide out a bit if you try, and particularly if you upgrade the rear sway bar. The DSTC system is also very clever, keeping you in line if you just want a small bit of fun. As for comfort on a gravel road I can't say for sure, but with 17s it shouldn't be any worse than any other hatchbacks. The 9-2x is a seriously cool car, we never got that one over here.

    Great video! I would like to know once KMS is on your friend's car, how is the sound :).. I assume DPF stays on, in place.

    • @VinnesAuto
      @VinnesAuto  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks :D I'll definitely be making a video on it once I get it on! The system is the KMS firestorm. I'm keeping the DPF, yes. I found out later that Alg Performance recommends the section 18 for the D3/D4 ( straight from dpf back with resonator). But I don't really want something loud, I rather want something nice, so I'm hoping the firestorm will give it a nice sound without being very loud. Since from the factory they're completely quiet from the exhaust, all you hear is from the engine bay. I think you can expect the video sometime in the next two weeks if things go according to plan :) The car is going in for inspection in a couple days, which is why I've been holding out on installing the exhaust.

      @@VinnesAuto Yeah, I've read they suggest section 18 but I've heard from so many people that sound barely change with aftermarket exhaust without DPF removed. Let's see, good luck!

    😂 a young ass in a car he knows nothing about or can handle, joker.

    • @VinnesAuto

      A young "ass" who was 7-8 seconds faster around that small track than the GR Yaris with much more power that was driven by a guy in his 30s, and a modern bmw 330. In fact the only driver in my class of over 20 people that was faster drove a model 3 performance that does 0-60 in close to 3 seconds. You want to be careful judging people solely on their age, because that might bite your old "ass". I really don't see what you were trying to achieve with this comment.
