I just love your work. You have truly inspired me. I have always been a musician and song writer from an early age, that is where my talent lied. But, this year I have been preparing to begin a new talent in paints and resin. I have been especially influenced by you and have thoroughly enjoyed each of your videos. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us. Warmest regards, Gina McDougall, from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. 😊❤🐨

Fascinating, painting acrylic over resin, it looks great. I assumed the resin would be too slick of a surface? I shall try it. Is there a reason you attached the hanging screws to the inside surface of the frame rather than the outside? Thanks!
Thanks Michelle. Yes, resin is somehow very smooth and slick surface, but you can paint with acrylics, just use layering and it is all fine. Regarding hanging screws -> I use screws with hooks, so if I attached them on the back not the sides, they would bump on the wall. Also doing it like I do, the tension of the wire pulls the piece more towards the wall.
You can try, but temperatures are much lower when using regular hair dryer. Also depends on Epoxy you are using I guess... Just try and you'll find your way :) Good luck!
Hey, I just started following you and I think your work is great. Question on using acrylics and resin. I know there is a delicate balance between the amount of acrylic paint you use. What are your ratios that you use?
Your waves are awesome, mine looks like someone spilled milk on the board, no cells no lacing. What am I doing wrong. I'm using acrylic paint and art resin, have also tried art resin and mas white pigment.
Translation: Thanks for answering me. Unfortunately, here in Brazil we don't have this resin brand. However, I use a high viscosity one too. You might as well take an online course to teach this fantastic technique!! Have you ever thought about it ??? @@MrNaonao2010 - I thought about it, maybe sometime in the future 🙂. At the moment I'm busy with commissions and working on new series.
I set mine on about 70% heat power and I use two different blow speed settings, but mostly the low one. But this really depends on each brand of actual heat gun. The best way is to start slowly and increase power gradually until you achieve desired effect.
My heat gun is a really cheap one, so nothing fancy there. All I do, I do with trial and error, every heat gun is different so I can’t give you exact numbers. But make sure you start with lower heat setting and lower air flow setting and gradualy ad up to get you to desired effects. I hope this helps. Good lick with your projetcs! 👍
Hi Joy! Great question. Wood remains alive even after cut to size, so it is always good to first seal it with a sealer (I use "Golden" Polymer Medium Gloss) and then prime it with gesso. Using white gesso also makes colours on top more saturated and vibrant. Using gesso only - directly on wood - can make wooden panels sag, especially large ones. Have fun creating!
Ayana, I always apply 2 coats of a sealer (like GOLDEN Medium Gloss or Liquitex Medium) - to seal the wood (from both sides). Than I use at least 2 coats of gesso. If you use gesso directly o wood, it can sag or bow - especially if panels are larger. Good luck!
This is an artwork, not a table or furniture which gets "abused" a lot. The bond is strong without sanding. Also, each layer doesn't reach to the end of prior layer, so sand marks would be visible.
This always depends on artwork size and resin brand you use. Just follow instructions for the brand you use. This one is 24”x48” and I use about 1,1 to 1,2 Litres of Art resin in first layer.

Good afternoon Rasko, I live in Brazil, I'm learning with your work that they are really beautiful, do you use a white base or acrylic paint?
Both. I explain that in this video 😊
Hi, your paintings are amazing, could you tell me what kind of support you use for them? Do you work on wood? What kind? Thanks
Hi. See some of my other videos where I describe how I create my wooden panels. I use Birch plywood and spruce slats.

I notice you don't sand the resin between coats, why not?

is sanding and polishing not required for this resin
No, this is art resin. It dries to perfect shinny finish.
hey do you use 2:1 resin or 3:1 please help
I use brand “Art Resin” which is 1:1 ratio.
On the first layer how much resin did you use?
