Love the diamond dust but I liked it shiny. I think the ultimate top coat is a wonderful product for some projects but I'm a shiny and glittery kinda gal lol.
I preferred the shinier finish! But all in all I absolutely love it and love all your videos. I want to redo my kitchen I am so scared. And the Diamond Dust was perfect
Mike! I also live in Hawaii:) I am a professional diver but my work has been shut down since March. I learned from your videos how to do this and remodeled our kitchen and bathroom countertops with your products. I am also an artist and have done several of these ocean pours. In this new world I need to find a new way to support my daughter and pay our mortgage so I’m trying to start a business with epoxy tables, countertops, backsplash, showers etc. thank you for teaching me so much and inspiring me to take a chance. Please wish me luck! Aloha🤙
Good luck, brother. I hope you can find enough of a customer base in that land of pork and pineapple that can afford to oay you a profitable price to support your family doing this until the diving guide thing picks back up. Aloha!👍👣🐠🐡🐚🤙
I like this video so much better than the older ones. This one is much more thoroughly explained from the very beginning to the very end. At first, I only ordered my kit to make the Brass Marble table and while I was waiting for it to come, I continued watching as many videos as I could and learned something new each time. So I had to place multiple orders on SCC website, as well as Amazon to make sure I had all the tools and supplies necessary. Then even after finishing our countertop I had to go track down the top coat video to see if it needed to be sanded before we apply the last layer. It was a pain in the neck process to acquire everything and get started and after finishing it last night, I was watching more videos today and realized that we did need a base layer white paint on top of the bonding primer that I ordered. 😟 My husband mistakenly assumed the kits came with everything you needed, but they do not. So, I read all the descriptions many times and it was not clear if you needed both, one or the other or when you need one vs the other. So I took a guess and guessed wrong, now my corners are having a hard time sticking to the epoxy. Not sure if coincidence or what but I just was feeling so much more prepared after watching this video than the older ones. Thank you so much SCC Team!!! Can’t wait to start my next project!!! 🥰
@@StoneCoatCountertops Yes!! We are totally obsessed now and want to do every countertop in our house! 😝 I am definitely going to do one of them the black sparkly color. Saving the best for last, we wanna take a stab at the live edge river tabletop for our butcher block. I can’t wait!! Was definitely a lot of fun and we are so grate for all the amazing videos (even our 10 year old daughter enjoys watching them)!! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing new home makeover option with the world!! You guys are simply the best!!!
Yes!! Watch this couple years ago ,things have changed n I. Now finding myself looking n looking for this video,I'm old lol.,however just found it n here I go!!
I watched your foam wall video for your parents and immediately was amazed and this one here blown me away.. you are simply an artist and not anyone can do this.. this is not diy..this is ae ar tee.. I love in Egypt and wish you were somewhere near to help me with my bathroom redo... sending you and your fam love .. I subbed
I liked the gloss better. The diamond dust shimmered beautifully but was filled after the top coat. Can’t wait until you get the gloss formula perfected.
Great stuff. Love your vids. I'm a certified scuba instructor and travel the world diving. One of our main rules is, "Look, but don't touch." Scooping up that sand under the water disturbs the small animals that live in it. So please....don't dig your hands in and touch. That ocean environment is beautiful, but also very sensitive to changes. Look all you want, enjoy, but don't touch anything under the water.
Just amazing!!! I'm going to attempt this on an old coffee table for my mother-in-law. Loved the diamond dust and I personally like the more shiny finish. Thank you!!!
I've been renovation my home, here in P.A.for the last two years almost, due to fund limits, and the fact of 2 floods that occured, costing me all my materials in the basement,on the1st, then the mold and such, after the 2nd...my plan for a 32x90 counter top,has been seriously delayed, but I am slowly putting my materials together,I also plan to do my wood substrate floors in epoxy...kitchen and living room..I have 7 dogs...so I have to figure out how....but I watch a lot of videos, and just love all your tutorials, and ideas...especially effects...so hopefully,I'll be able to say..."I got this" '...love u all,God Bless...
In poured urethane gym floors, we use a heavy nap roller to apply the top coat, then immediately followed by a shorter nap dry roller to remove lap marks. Very similar process. This is right up my alley
Wow! This was so educational! I don't do table tops but I can for sure use this on the small scale for making display bases for my beach anime girl models.
Absolutely gorgeous. My son and I prefer the shiny top coat. If the white stuff on the shelves behind the table weren't obscuring the amazing blues 💙 everyone might agree. The wet and shiny sand was also a plus! Thank you. Wish I could do this for a living!
Stunning! ❤️ Hard to pick that apart at all... but since you asked, I do prefer the depth of the shiny but I understand the need for the table to be able to withstand use.
I ABSOLUTELY!Love watching all of your video's. You just amaze me. I watch so much my husband thinks I'm addicted...lol you do such a great job teaching your skills. Keep up the awsome work. And I will keep watching. One day I would love to come to one of your classes.
Love the table, I think I like the high gloss better but then they both are great looking. The dark blue streak appearances was a little off but that’s just me. I try to watch everything you do, you do some amazing work and you love doing it. I have a river table that’s been ready to pour for the last 6 months. After watching this table and how it turned out I’m ready to take the plunge. Thanks.
Mike as an artist from Europe with 45 years experience in exhibiting and teaching portraiture and landscape in all mediums. I am in fact a pastel specialist. Epoxy is new to me. I would dearly love you to develop a 'satin' ultimate top coat. Mid way between matte and gloss. It could seriously be a game changer. eventually a full gloss one sure, but why not take an easy mid way step. As I understand it the matte does give total scratchproof qualities? Has anyone actually mixed ultimate with Art or gloss top coat? I would have added some variation to the sand. When wet it is darker than when dry - you could play with that with some well chosen colour additives. In oils I would use a mix of brown. and a yellow green. Finally I teach colour theory and have done for 35 years in colleges an Europe wide. I can help you with that on a level which you need for your business if it will help you - to get a really good grip on that. Just let me know. You also need tonal values understanding it goes hand in hand with Colour theory. Your product and your videos are inspiring. Oh yes I shall be delving into it. Too tempting not too. I love a medium challenge and this is it.
That diamond dust is giving me life!!!!! I wondering if I can do this! I'm obsessed with this table! And your a fun teacher.. lol! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Freakin'' Awesome!!! So inspiring. I'm getting ready to do my floors and probably counter tops this year in a complete condo remodel. I personally liked the high gloss look, but I think combining the high gloss (on the water portion) and less glossy on the sand would look good too. I just love your videos guys! I did my first pour on a junk table that NO ONE wanted, and now with my very first (and not great LOL) pour it seems the table is back in demand. So much fun!! Thanks again to all of you at Stone Coat Countertops for the great lessons and examples!!
Just stumbled on to you guys a couple days ago and I’ve binge watched all your vids! Wanna try this on my countertop but I think I’ll start with a table first.
👍 www.stonecoatcountertops.com/products/epoxy-additives/ 👍 what did you guys think about the diamond dust in this one? 💎
I love the diamond dust!
The Diamond Dust was perfect!
Love the diamond dust but I liked it shiny. I think the ultimate top coat is a wonderful product for some projects but I'm a shiny and glittery kinda gal lol.
I LOVE THE DIAMOND DUST!!!!!!!!!!!

I really need to go to Hawaii to do some "research" for myself.
I preferred the shinier finish! But all in all I absolutely love it and love all your videos. I want to redo my kitchen I am so scared. And the Diamond Dust was perfect
Heck ya I second this
Love the diamond dust. Preferred the shinier finish. But all in all, it looks awesome ! ! !
Great feedback, thanks
100% agree! I was about to write out this exact comment
Yeah, I'm a fan of the ultra glass look too.
Yes, Mike let ME know when you roll out a high gloss top coat!
Same
I have painted seascapes for over 20 years and I think this is just gorgeous! I've been dying to do a table!
A great compliment coming from an artist. :)

Was thinking of this and adding some text in the sand like how people write in the sand... to give as a gift to someone
Awesome idea
Fantastic 👏 idea
Great idea
OMG. This is probably the BEST comment/idea/suggestion I've ever seen on SCC vids. If you do it - would love to see the finished project!
You can write it with the white foam putting some sand for accent and for deep accent add some brown colors

I liked the glossier finish . Great job anyway.
I liked the gloss better. The diamond dust shimmered beautifully but was filled after the top coat. Can’t wait until you get the gloss formula perfected.
I love it! It may not be everyone’s taste, but beach-goers like my will drawn to it.
Love the diamond dust!! :)
