Absolutely amazing! Here is an idea: fit a strip of narrow led’s (probably warm white) at too and bottom behind the ‘tree layer’. The light should then shine through and illuminate that layer, enabling an even more 3d effect. I did this before (using the led’s on layered resin and if done correctly it may very well blow your mind.)
This is so cool!! Btw, this effect is called “parallax”. You can make it even more apparent by having the resin layers increase in thickness as you get closer to the foreground. ✨🌳🖤
ok so that does have a technical term.. I was thinking of areas with like rook formations that you could build up in resin layers to give off the appearance of actual rocks.. but in imagine a pc side panel made like this

@@bekkison practiced AND talented. Erasing the word talented diminishes the fact that some people will try just as hard and not progress as much: some people start out a bit better, can grasp the concepts more intuitively, and gain skill more quickly with practice.

It would be really cool to take this to the next level! Paint layer by layer from bottom to top until you have built up a 3D painting in a resin cube. Then buff and polish it so it can be seen from all angles!
Inspired by this video I recently did a 3D painting in Jell-O for a party. For good measure, the paint was UV reactive (food safe, don't worry I didn't poison anyone) so that it would glow under black light. It took 6 hours, but it was so fun!
I bet using neon fluorescent paints and glow in the dark paint you could make some seriously wild paintings. Add glow in the dark paint in a lower level, using this one as an example, behind the tree then using UV led strips on the bottom top and sides you could make a glowing light come from behind the tree. Just some ideas for future projects.

Seeing the blue at the back when you are taking it out of the mold made me think: What if you planned a 2-way 3D painting of some sort, painting in a way where you can see it from the back as well as the front. You know, like you could see behind the tree if you turn the painting... AWESOME
I don't know that the planning would be that much harded, if you start by planning the mold so that you can remove the back without removing the sides. Then you can start from the middle and paint the front half, then turn it over and paint the back half. Still tricky, though, yes!
That is really cool. All the background work you did got covered up though. If that tree was 50% thinner you could still see the mountains and stuff in the background maybe

This is beautiful! I can’t wait to see what you do next with resin. Also I’m really happy to see you using safety equipment when working with resin. I’m new to resin but i don’t see too many Makers who emphasize the importance of using a mask and gloves when working with resin. Which is sad because more and more people are experiencing really bad health problems because they weren’t protected.
I used to work in a Scenery Shop, and at one point we built these massive, curved stairs, that had clear plexi treads. These were put on metal risers, then backlit. I think the plexi sheets were 2" thick, and we cut down the treads from 8' X 4' sheets. The sides were dull, like the ones here, after the cuts, so we used heat guns to essentially re-activate them just enough that they became clear again. I'd try heat first, in case putting a coat on top of extant sides just seals in the cloudy finish the sanding created. Just a thought.
I am in AWE of this very talented and yet modest young lady . Completely bowled over by her talent and not to mention full of envy , so glad i found her videos as this is the first one i watched . Fair play to her she is just brilliant .

In 1979 and painted layers of my drawing in three and/or four dimension using plexiglass. No one had ever seen this before and everyone wanted one. It's nice to see someone else finally do something so beautiful!
Awesome painting. I would be careful using resin indoors though. I can cause some serious respiratory issues with prolonged use if do not where proper mask and use in a well ventilated area.
Great advice I was meaning to say that, so i will second robs suggestion, ventalation is important when using catailstys of any kind, also just to add that marine strippers and things like goof of are seriously dangerous and often wont sghow sighns until we hity our fiftys like myselfm
It sort of looks like it depicts Persephone returning from the underworld after a third of the year and her first growing something extreme in the mortal realm. Just a thought. Love your work btw.
Came out amazing !! Just some info for you and your followers to know: Resin yellows. Especially UV resin. and the thicker the resin is, the more yellow it will appear in the future !!

Disney's Tron had frames up to 25 layers in one single frame and uses the same concept. Each frame was filmed cut up and pieced together and than exposed onto a new final layered frame. Mindboggling work considering the Movie is 96 minutes long and each second has 30 frames (NTSC). Next level done in the 80's.
Wonderful! it is nice to see this technic with someone who actually has talent. Most pours done in abstract pretty much anyone can do but this takes time, effort, and the gift.
Wow! This entire process was amazing!!! Thank you. I had a resin puzzle as a kid that built layers like this. So each layer was sliced and you had to put them together to form the end piece like yours. Haven't seen them ever again. I love this nostalgic moment :)

I've never done art like this before, but, I am experienced with resin. Slow cures are the best for most applications. It's also good to rough up one layer before applying the next to help with adhesion.

You can use silicon lubricant spray for resin projects to come out easily

Yeah, the camera only has one "eye", basically, so everything gets flattened and it's really hard to see the depth. But it looks pretty cool!

Just a tip: If you pour resin, the best way is in the corner and dont change position of pouring until all surface is filled.

The planning would be a nightmare, but the resin wouldn't be that much more.

In 1979 and painted layers of my drawing in three and/or four dimension using plexiglass. No one had ever seen this before and everyone wanted one. It's nice to see someone else finally do something so beautiful!
Awesome painting. I would be careful using resin indoors though. I can cause some serious respiratory issues with prolonged use if do not where proper mask and use in a well ventilated area.
Great advice I was meaning to say that, so i will second robs suggestion, ventalation is important when using catailstys of any kind, also just to add that marine strippers and things like goof of are seriously dangerous and often wont sghow sighns until we hity our fiftys like myselfm
It sort of looks like it depicts Persephone returning from the underworld after a third of the year and her first growing something extreme in the mortal realm. Just a thought. Love your work btw.

Came out amazing !! Just some info for you and your followers to know: Resin yellows. Especially UV resin. and the thicker the resin is, the more yellow it will appear in the future !!

The concept isn't new. In 1937 snowwhite was painted on glass sheets and than filmed. But you took it to the next level. Love it
Disney's Tron had frames up to 25 layers in one single frame and uses the same concept. Each frame was filmed cut up and pieced together and than exposed onto a new final layered frame. Mindboggling work considering the Movie is 96 minutes long and each second has 30 frames (NTSC). Next level done in the 80's.
Wonderful! it is nice to see this technic with someone who actually has talent. Most pours done in abstract pretty much anyone can do but this takes time, effort, and the gift.
Wow! This entire process was amazing!!! Thank you. I had a resin puzzle as a kid that built layers like this. So each layer was sliced and you had to put them together to form the end piece like yours. Haven't seen them ever again. I love this nostalgic moment :)
Watching the whole process is like seeing real life magic 🤩😍🤩 the final results could soothe the soul

I've never done art like this before, but, I am experienced with resin. Slow cures are the best for most applications. It's also good to rough up one layer before applying the next to help with adhesion.

My only complaint is that you completely covered up the mountains, but this still turned out incredibly beautiful.
Seems to me, if you put a thick enough layer between the two, you could still see that layer thru the sides...
