❤️Thanks to our Patrons: / nerdforge
In this project we create a miniture diorama in the form of a book nook! We use several techniques, as infinity mirrors and peppers ghost to create the feeling of an infinite library inside our bookshelf!
    🧰 MATERIALS:
    ________________________________
    - Gray cardstock scavenged from old sketchbooks (2mm thick)
    - Wood glue (to seal the cardstock to prevent layers from separating, and making everything more sturdy)
    - Super glue
    - Acrylic paints
    - Printed textures (stone marble for the floor, brick for the wall)
    - Foam board
    - 1 pcs acrylic one-way mirror
    - 3 pcs regular glass mirror
    - 2mm clear acrylic glass
    - 2 pcs fairy string lights (3x AA batteries)
    - 2 pcs electric tealights w/ flickering fire
    - Worbla crystal art (for the fire orbs)
    - Foam clay
    - Small hinges
    🔨 TOOLS:
    ________________________________
    - Box knife / utility knife
    - Tweezers
    - Soldering iron
    - Heat gun
    - Phone w/ animation
    Bonus material: Fire orb animation!

This is the COOLEST thing you've ever made, holy crap, I love it SO much!!! When I was a kid I would position my grandparents bathroom mirrors on their cabinet to face each other, it was one of those ones with 3 mirror.. doors? and I would peek through the crack at the middle one and stare at the infinity hallways. This is SOOOO much cooler! Amazing job!!!

This project came out really awesome. The only things I would have done differently is to run the flame from an Arduino powered screen and I would have possibly added a usb charging board and 18650 battery pack so it could be portable or plugged in.

    Seriously amazing!
Added ideas, not sure if anyone else has mentioned these already:
Swap out battery pack toggle switch with a contact switch that works with the doors opening and closing.
Though the flames are really cool, they might become an absent problem when upgrading your phone, or when you don't want to keep a video of random flames in your phone's library.
Perhaps a dedicated, small LED screen (found on digital photo frames) could be used instead?
These are typically not expensive, can play videos from a dedicated SD card and could potentially be included in the Battery pack circuitry.
Or have a separate circuit as these tend to have dedicated battery power sources as well and don't necessarily require a power outlet, which would keep the entire unit completely mobile.

In reality this 'ghost library' must be even more impressive. Because here in the video we only see it 2dimensional because the video is 2dimensional. But in real the infinite-mirrors make a depth-effect which are suggesting, that the ghost library goes through the wall seemingly indefinete.
