Great build! I would just advise, for such a "case", to make both fans suck in the air creating a positive pressure with a fine steel mesh (or so) as dust filter. If you have most fans blowing air outside, creating a negative pressure, all windows and small kracks and holes will start to collect dust. With a positive pressure only the two fans will get a bit dusty but all other places will just vent out warm air. Just some long term advice ^^.
Also need to mention that the power supply is "backwards". Than fan pointing inside the case is the "exhaust", it should be pointing outside (which, in this case would mean raising the whole house on some kind of feets)
As someone who has built more computers than I care to count, I think my favorite part of the assembly was you touching the copper pipes to discharge the static. Most people ignore this, and few know just how much damage static can do to components (ISO-9001 certification). Kudos on a great build. Welcome to the modding community.
Static does almost nothing to the PC components as Electroboom and LTT did demonstrate. If something "had died from static" it wasn't static that had killed it, it was something else that was the reason for the death. Bad component, shoddy trace, damaged chip, etc.
@@Vladimir_Kv Yeah, but it's not hard to do and if it can remove any chance to break expensive components, I would always do it. Even if it's not likely to do anything.
If you cycle the power once or twice without a plug in it does the exact same thing as "discharging" every step or "wearing a static band" which totally wasn't an attempt to sell people useless stuff.... in effect you could willfully try to build static into the part and the grounding of the psu would in essence negate it...

oh sure, it's not enough for the computer to be made of wood which is a flammable material anymore, let's add more plastic to it, it seems like a great idea
@@wsapalas It's a computer not an oven, wooden patios don't catch fire even if they are exposed to a scorching summer sun. Anyhow, your computer will shut down if it reaches temps deemed dangerous for the hardware, as my old ass AMD cpu showed me will trying to survive a gaming session in a hot summer night. Plus, many PC parts have plastics already (like the case of a graphics cards, the racks for some hard drives, the plastic around cables...) Unless you decided to watercool your computer with gasoline, there's really nothing wrong. Best exemple is how you can carry a computer in your pocket without it catching fire even though its completely in a plastic case (e.g. your smartphone)
@@Davmm96 The question is not that it will catch fire, the question is if it catches fire, it is still an electronic component subject to failures, many modern Samsung cell phones exploded for no reason, so besides the question that the colder the processor works the better , there is still the question that if it has a short circuit or some fault it will not be wrapped in a flammable material, besides the wood absorbs heat, comparing a computer with a wooden patio is like comparing a car with a broom.

Now, you have a loyal follower from Hungary too. My best wishes. Your are adorable, Martina. I love your fancy hair colors and so on...
Well it works and most certainly looks amazing, but she did quite a few mistakes. You usually finish up the motherboard except AIO and GPU outside of the case. The biggest oof is propably that she removed the cpu cover, which is supposed to pop out when you push down the lever, you can see it at 15:56 it's still there and after the cut it's removed. She also forgot some peels and only one intake on the MB/GPU compartment which is not even directed at the GPU is definetely not sufficient. The PSU fan is inside of the compartment and therefore relies soely on negative pressure intake which will suck in dust and is inefficient.
This could be a whole new trend for pcs, someone doing this kinds of PCs would hardly have any competition. I'm already imagining the $20-50k price tags on these... And they could be marketed as furniture...
To be honest, you are so right. I mean, this piece of art IS furniture at its most beautiful. This could become a niched brand and maybe the actual pc-tower might become the most expensive part of a PC-build and that says something, when you have the current prices of graphics cards for a comparison.
0:29 “I choose to see no downsides” is my new third favorite quote, right behind “If the weather can’t be nice 2 days in a row, neither can I” and “If nobody comes from the future to stop you, how bad of decision can it really be”

The PC looks absolutely incredible! One question i have for behind the forge is what your thoughts are on the materials holding up to the heat from the components over time as pcs can get quite hot
There is such a huge volume of air and good airflow (at least if all the fans are mounted so they co-operate) that it won't get warm in there really, I'd guess air temps in that case will be something like 30C max for a 20C ish room, and honestly I'd expect the air temp in there to be nearly ambient, its rather better ventilated than any steel PC case I've ever seen, even the largely mesh ones tend to use a much finer more restrictive mesh - so that just leaves the exhaust air temp being too high, but as the bulk of that should come out the back side even if it does soften the hot glue (and it would have to be the very low temp hot glue) who cares..
@@ptowzapotato4157 at least for the wood angles/joints she was also using nails... So I think they should be fine at least... Donno about the foam, but I think the build has enough cooling.
You should make a house just like that, but add an interior. Then when you take apart the layers you can look at it. In fact you could make a whole civilization with a lot of tiny houses
One way to avoid individual bricks is to carve out stone patterns from one large piece of Styrofoam using a hot knife. You can then attach the panel to the structure as one piece. I don't know if my description is accurate enough so you can see it in your head.
Ooo. You could replace the wood between each floor with like latic metal to increase airflow. Probably open some fan slots in the bottom floor to allow fan intake then have the roof shingles have gaps to alow air to flow out. Would be a good way to reduce the beat of the system.
Very cool to see, not just the computer built into the model (which is amazing!), but the planning process and techniques for such a large piece of terrain all together in one video.

VERY WHIMSICAL!!!! I LOVE THIS BUILD! Just a suggestion, the third floor (where the radiator was installed) you could open up the floor a bit to make a "stack effect" so the heat from the first and the second floor can flow from the bottom to the top and into the radiator, much like how you would design a real house/building. Also, just a very little detail tip, the fans on the second floor i think are installed the wrong side because the frame of the fan (the x braces) are facing the window instead of inside the house.
I could see this on a desk that’s designed to be a backdrop for the house. Scenery and clever tricks to make everything computer blend into something more organic. Great job!
Your artistic vision and execution blows my mind every time. This was so amazing to watch. You didn't just mod a case, you literally created a case. I would love something like this for my own system. Keep doing what you do. You are VERY talented.
That is very unique and beautiful... just keep in mind if the exterior is mostly wood/paper that you have even less protection against electrostatic discharge than my open concept rig. Avoid moving it, maybe put it near something else safe you can touch first before you push the buttons, etc. This is especially a problem in the dry winter months.
PCs nowadays are very resilient to electrostatic discharge, there is a video by Jay'sTwoCent that covers this topic ruclips.net/video/xdzo-uAvz5Y/видео.html
Yes, PCs are hard to break in this manner when they are properly grounded. However, they are easy to *crash*. You can crash the machine plugging in perhipherals, etc. My open concept rig used to trip a failsafe when there was an ESD across the room on the same circuit. Needless to say, I replaced my crappy surge protector after that happened. Also, the likelyhood that components will break varies. Why play russian roulette with your kit? A little caution is not a bad thing.

I don't know. Linus made that video about it where it was kinda hard tp break anything with static
It's a one-second step to remove a .1% chance of damaging a $100-1000 component, i.e. always worth it.

Plus, many PC parts have plastics already (like the case of a graphics cards, the racks for some hard drives, the plastic around cables...)
Unless you decided to watercool your computer with gasoline, there's really nothing wrong.

The fact that your painting holds up to close ups says everything about your skill as an artist. It's stunning.
Martina: Ive never done this before
*proceeds to do the thing perfectly
Never though of that. You have vision boi
To be honest, you are so right. I mean, this piece of art IS furniture at its most beautiful. This could become a niched brand and maybe the actual pc-tower might become the most expensive part of a PC-build and that says something, when you have the current prices of graphics cards for a comparison.

I would love to see a howel's moving castle case and pc build. That would be so epic.
The PC looks absolutely incredible! One question i have for behind the forge is what your thoughts are on the materials holding up to the heat from the components over time as pcs can get quite hot
Yeah I'm especially conserned about the hot glue and the foam, I'm hoping the water cooling will help keep thermals down enough tho
@@ptowzapotato4157 i don't think the temps will get anywhere near the melting point of hotglue which is 180°C to 200°C
Water cooling is epic. I have it mine. They might need to reenforce it with metal later.

But think how many _bricks_ they'd have to make :,)
One way to avoid individual bricks is to carve out stone patterns from one large piece of Styrofoam using a hot knife.
Would be a good way to reduce the beat of the system.
that paint job is definitely mind-blowingly amazing, along with the rest of the construction.
Very cool to see, not just the computer built into the model (which is amazing!), but the planning process and techniques for such a large piece of terrain all together in one video.

Most obnoxious and super awesome PC case ever. Nice one!
Great job!
Every time I thought the paint job looked awesome you put another layer on it and made it look more awesome.
It almost looks like the Hocus Pocus house. It's just missing the water wheel. Great build.
This is very informative, I know that things could get complex with PCs, but never knew this was an aspect to keep in mind. Thanks for sharing!
PCs nowadays are very resilient to electrostatic discharge, there is a video by Jay'sTwoCent that covers this topic ruclips.net/video/xdzo-uAvz5Y/видео.html
And there is one video by LinusTechTips on the subject ruclips.net/video/nXkgbmr3dRA/видео.html
