In the early 2000’s, if you were living in a neighborhood plagued with crime, you could NOT even ride your bikes on the wrong side of the street without being held at gun point, searched & giving a ticket.

To be honest, New York is not prepared for the worst from other countries. We are in a bubble, full of hubris and detached from reality. When something happens we say "I never thought that could happen in this neighborhood." My point is, weak leadership costs millions of lives. America is filled with weak leaders exploiting an even weaker general public who is easily manipulated by music, tv, movies and news.
