Recognized Bo from the thumbnail. That photo of him in HS was all over when I was in college. Ppl amazed at how Bama just kept insane RBs coming through their pipeline. That Ingram, Richardson, Lacy, Henry, and then Scarbough run was the greatest decade of RBs for a school ever. W/ Dame and Najee recently. Throw in Yeldon, Jacobs, and Drake who would’ve completely dominated at any other school too.

The biggest cause of his type of injuries is having muscles to big and strong for the rest of his body, pretty common with people who take steroids

That kid was NOT on steroids. You encounter FREAKS like this in the South.
Think years back….Herschel Walker (Georgia), Bo Jackson (Alabama) & Marcus Dupree (Mississippi) were of similar stature in high school.

I remember watching him play at Alabama and wondered what happened to him. I wasn't aware of all of the injuries to this point in his career, and it seems it's easy to reinjure an old injury. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

Like u said he seems to not have any off field problems & has good head on his shoulders. I’m sure that’s why many teams have given him opportunities. I guess if it’s meant to be then it’s meant to be. I’m sure in the end he will be very successful no matter what happens. Wish Bo the best of luck.

Bo played in the NFL for a couple of years. He did well when he actually played, but injuries kept him off the field. However, he did play for the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL this season, and won the championship. He has enough tread left on the tires to get another shot at the NFL if a spot opens up and he wants to do it. He also does roundtable videos with other former Bama players all the time on The Bama Standard channel on RUclips. He’s a funny guy and seems to be doing pretty well.

That could have played a roll. But also being that big and tall as a running back is rare for a reason. Lot of body to hit, can’t get as low, a lot of ppl therefore get to ur legs. And ur so strong that u don’t go down and u have ppl hanging off of you while taking hits. I had a relatively injury free career as a d1 linebacker besides on shoulder injury and some bumps and bruises but I had to play running back full time my senior year of hs and carry the load due to injury and I sprained my mcl, tore a ligament in my foot, dislocated a shoulder, and sprained an ankle all in one season. Still put up numbers and only missed like 3.5 games but it was a gruesome painful season.

Yeah, listening to your research, there were at least four major injuries- 2 knee tears, a broken ankle, and a hamstring tear. Additionally add a high ankle sprain too. it’s a shame that his career was cut short due to injury, and with his position, I would be surprised if he was able to come back to the NFL despite only being out of the league for a few years.
It was commented that someone with big muscles obtained because of using steroids can cause these injuries. Well that is definitely a reality of the possible side effects when using something to create extra muscle that your body wouldn’t naturally make and support, which is different than working out with natural supplements.
Looking like that as a sophomore in HS… man, it’s hard to believe that he didn’t get involved in that quagmire, but there are freaks of nature out there too, and I’m not accusing him of that to be clear.
Here is a guy who hasn’t gotten into trouble, at least not publicized, and seems to be a pretty humble being while not acting entitled who is a positive functioning part of our society. It’s a shame, and I feel for him, that he couldn’t continue to do what he was good at and loved due to the injuries.

But if anybody could make good use of Bo Scarborough it would be Bill Belichick and the Patriots as they have a propensity to draft Alabama running backs this within the last few years they took Sony Michel and Damien Harris as Alabama is pretty much like a Patriots farm league because Nick Saban is cut from the Belichick tree.

He was supposed to be the next big thing at Alabama, but shit happens sometimes. He broke his leg against Clemson and Sarkisian choked on the game plan after that by not going with the hot hand at RB in Josh Jacobs.
I don't know what Bo's issue was after going pro. I'm guessing he was injury prone. But he now has a job playing for peanuts in the USFL with the Birmingham Stallions, so that's better than nothing, but it's a far cry from what Damien Harris enjoys with the New England Patriots, you know, the one the Clemson Tigers kept stuffing in that national championship game.

Look at some great legend that went to trash franchise but they literally killed there players Barry Sanders, Bo Jackson, Eric Dickerson, Megatron, Ricky Williams, Chad Johnson and so many others great player's. Just like most of the College Coaches couldn't make in the NFL but they was Great College Coaches Nick Saban, Chip
