- A beloved lifeguard and aqua-fit instructor was back at work on Thursday after an outpouring of community support forced a Waterdown, Ont., YMCA to rehire him.
Moral of the story, Don't fire the old people's elf, specially if it's their Idea to show him off to the world.
They should make a show about lifeguards their day to day life, love life and friendships maybe the can solve a few crimes ... probably would never work

Well it's obvious that he legally changed his name to that, so I'm sure he likes telling people about it. Plus the seniors would probably riot if they saw that he was introduced on tv as "Jesse Elf" instead of "Jesse THE Elf" 😂

I can understand the YMCA's position. They feared The Elf was taken advantage of their elderly members. Maybe they were a bit hasty in The Elf's firing but they clearly were concerned for their members. It's all worked out now so no reason to view those who decided to fire The Elf harshly.
I wonder why he was originally fired. That whole point seems missed.....

Good cause, but the thing that is being ignored and not even acknowledged is that the guy clearly has a mental illness. His illness should be treated and acknowledged, instead of being ignored as if it wasn't present. But hey, that's how our society has turned.
