So does ponting the nose straight at the bandit give them higher chance of them getting lock/radar signature,because the radar is feeding its signal straight into the bandit radar like a beam but if you turn away from it,the beams can't see eachother that well from a side angle?

Laughing at your landing which was about as good as it can get. Can't tell you how many times I watched fighter/bombers land at Da Nang. You could tell what branch they were when they hit the runway. AF smooth as silk, Marines in the middle, Navy was a crash landing! :) Ask anybody who was there!
Same thing for pilots at continental/now all united airlines. As a machinist I could tell the pilot by the amount of damage and wear on the landing gear and wing/tail joints.... yeuùp... entire nose wheel box is cracked......navy pilot

This would be awesome. I would love to see it with GS in both aircraft too. This will paint a clearer picture as GS is almost always the better pilot in these scenarios. I mean here he is beating the Eurofighter in an F-16, were it the other way round I would imagine he would have the fight won rather quickly.
Just got back from a trip to London and they were doing an annual show of force for the RAF one day while we were walking in Leister Square. Got to see a couple of Typhoons in formation with a RAF 737, then about a 12 ship in tight formation (only had a brief chance to see them and couldn't get an accurate count). That was followed by about 6 F-35s in formation as well. Very neat stuff!
You do know that an RAF Typhoon took on two US F-15 air dominance figter aircraft at the same time and won. Plus a RAF Typhoon pilot would never expend all its air to air missiles without taking you down first.
In the end..it really does come down to the Pilot in the Box. Damn good flying from you both! You killed it with the BVR maneuvers of removing the lock, those several times..damn good technique from a true master 💚🛸
Awesome video man. One note I would make is you need to maintain centerline discipline on the runway. Also the f16 needs to be walked down the runway to burn off speed and not put too much pressure on the brakes
When the eurofighter lose lock, and the meteor missile goes for the last known location. Does it go where the plane were seen the last last time by the radar, or it goes the location where the plane was heading the last time it was on radar?
Maybe it’s just the way these fights tend to be set up, but the AMRAAM seems like it has such underwhelming capabilities compared to the Meteor and R-37.
Well I think once you get it into range, it probably has the superior guidance and seeker technology. The meteor fanboys will disagree with that of course but I believe that statement to be “accurate”
As ever, proof that the better pilot is probably the biggest factor in the fight. Should the Eurofighter have been looking to get much higher at the start of the engagement?

I'm new to DCS, I'm learning BVR! But, what I don't understand is that in the F-16C you need to wait some time until the missile becomes PITBULL, watching your videos, you fire and change direction, losing radar lock, how do you shoot down the enemy ? Wouldn't you have to wait for the missile to turn PITBULL and then change direction and lose the lock?
How is Gripen against Viper , I want to see which one is better? Both of them are low cost and multirole fighters and both of them have a chance for flying for Ukraine😅 At the end , thanks a lot for your good videos 🎉🎉

Why do you fly with the LITENING pod when you're kitted for BVR? Won't it just cause unnecessary drag for no gain? It's not like you're using it for air-to-air.

This would be awesome. I would love to see it with GS in both aircraft too. This will paint a clearer picture as GS is almost always the better pilot in these scenarios. I mean here he is beating the Eurofighter in an F-16, were it the other way round I would imagine he would have the fight won rather quickly.

You should use the HSD and select the data link bandit so you can see hom as an octagon in your JHMCS. Better SA this way.

How do you get missile launch warnings the moment a meteor is launched. Wouldn't it it go active only very late like the AMRAAM?

Amraam is same, if fired with single target track you will get launch tone.
